By the Vine: Web Series
Project Overview
By the Vine is a story about the Cloats, a humanoid race with heightened senses that can become feral when they experience strong emotions or engage in immoral actions. The main character, Calum, is a 20-year-old Cloat who struggles with insecurities and compares himself to his successful father and brother. He moves in with his best friend Aziel and helps him out on his farm, learning more about himself and the people around him. Along the way, Calum and his friends must also stop a thief who is stealing priceless artifacts.
The story is 8 chapters long with each chapter being its own episode. The series will be put up on my youtube channel. If your audition make sure you are committed to the project. The project will also be Christian-themed hopefully you are ok with that as well. I'am looking for someone who will be passionate about the project.
Requirements:
- Please have a good quality microphone, and a clear and crisp recording.
- Little to no background noise, reverb, or echo. Nothing too jarring that takes away from the audio quality.
- If you have a discord that would be a big plus because we will have collaborations on the studio server. It will be easier to get in contact. After you get the audition I will dm the server over to you
This project won't be paid, but any help would be appreciated. The main purpose of this is to spread the Gospel and to tell a good story

Jevon is Jarek’s adopted brother who is 19 years old. Jevon is brooding and reserved, he likes to keep to himself. Jevon's favorite pastime is fishing. He often fishes by the river. Jevon often gets treated like Jarek's butler they have a complicated relationship. Jevon becomes close friends with everyone later on when he starts to warm up to them.
His voice is brooding and and he often sounds bored or unamused.

Jevon (suspicious): What do you want?
Jevon (sighing): Fine. But I'm warning you, if you hurt my brother, I won't hesitate to step in.
Saxon is a charismatic leader who is driven by a desire to bring about peace, but he is willing to use questionable means to achieve his goals, including manipulating and hurting others. He has the ability to use his voice to put creatures into a trance or confuse them. Saxon has a troubled past, having been abused and mistreated by the King of Edonis and feeling betrayed by his family when they did not believe him. Despite this, he remains determined to bring about change in the world. He is the leader of the Black Roses and is 25-years old.
His voice is calm and seductive, if you can sing that's a plus.
If you can sing it's a plus but it's ok if you can't.

Saxon (Triumphant): Behold, true peace.
Candice is part of the Villain group called the Black roses. Candice is a free-spirited individual who loves to express herself through music and has a strong passion for rock and roll. She joins Saxon and Iniko's band after meeting them and becomes like a sister figure to them. Despite her outgoing personality, she has felt like an outsider in her previous town due to her unique interests and self-expression. She has a crush on Saxon and fully supports his beliefs and dreams of changing the world.
She has a smug, and tough personality.

Brakes is part of the Villain group the Black Roses is a skilled drummer who joined the Black Roses after being shunned by his clan for being blind. Despite his visual impairment, Brakes has developed strong senses of hearing and smell and is able to use these abilities in combat. He is determined and reliable, but can also be a voice of reason within the group.
He has a laid back chill personality.

Brakes(unamused): You're a pushover.
Wilder is a member of the Villian group the black Roses. Hejoined the Black Roses after impressing them with his guitar skills at a restaurant performance. He has a wild and energetic personality, often serving as the comedic relief of the group. Despite struggling with feeling inferior and different due to his mannerisms and personality, Wilder is a valuable member of the Black Roses, using his strength and guitar skills to create diversions and help the group escape dangerous situations. Saxon and the other members of the group support Wilder and help him with his self-esteem issues.

Veronica is part of the villain group the Black Roses. She joined the Black Roses after ending a relationship with her ex, Barrack. She is skilled with technology and helps the group with gadgets, as well as offering advice and acting as a mother figure. She has a strong and determined personality and is not afraid to take charge when necessary.
If you can sing it's a plus but it's ok if you can't.

VERONICA (to Mr. Newman) Uh oh, looks like we're busted.
VERONICA: Are you sure you're ready for this, Saxon?
Creg is Trillin and Sonia's father, and he's general of the royal guard.
Creg has a strong, and stern voice.

Moa is a member of the royal guard who is known for his politeness and manners. Despite his efforts to be a stoic soldier, he can be shy and cowardly at times. He is a 21-year-old Cloat.

Vera is the town's hair stylist. She can can some off stuck up at times. She has a Rivalry with one of the main characters.

Calum and Nolan’s father and elite detective. In the beginning of the story he gets attacked and his family tries to nurse him back to health. He is a kind and loving father.

Andreas is the towns historian and he owns the towns museum. He is a bit nerdy but really insightful.

Andreas: (Concerned) If they revive the flower, everyone will turn feral.
ANDREAS (fearful): When you fully embrace your feral side, you lose all sense of self and become a monster. You can never return to normal.
Mr. Newman is the towns king. Mr. Newman is very kind but can be a bit scatterbrained. Jarek tries to make sure his father doesn't get taken advantage of and he tries to make sure the town is running properly. His character is a bit goofy and jolly, but he can be serious at times.

Corbin is a 20 year old Cloat who runs the towns grocery store. He has a emo personality and is often looks unamused. He moved to Promisia with his little brother. He holds trama from his past that he tries to overcome.

Neven is Corbin's 13-year-old younger brother who is really happy and positive and he speaks in the third person.

Barack is 25 and he is the towns Blacksmith. Barack is a outgoing and chipper guy. He loves to work hard and he isn't afraid to take risk.
