Project Overview
Hey Everyone,
We're building a new YouTube channel focused on long-form narrative-driven content. Each episode will be approximately 30 minutes long and will follow different characters as they go on adventures and battle various obstacles. These episodes will take place in the hit game Among us. Utilizing machinima and 2D animation to push the story forward.
Our team has a decade of experience on YouTube, with over 20million subscribers across our other channels. Long story short, we live & breathe YouTube and have a track record of success on the platform.
We're looking for talented English-speaking voice actors to join us on this journey.
ABOUT THE EPISODE
In this episode, our main character finds himself on a desert island where he'll run across multiple different characters. He'll spend the episode navigating the island and trying to learn all its secrets.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
- Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics
- Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes.
- Please submit your recordings as one .wav file. We will provide you with a Google drive after casting.
- We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly and only after great consideration - we realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.
- We're looking to cast people for multiple episodes and seasons. Please indicate you're available to work on this project for the long term.

Slapjack is a grizzle seafarer who speaks with a gruff, throaty, sailor-type voice. He is a bit skeptical and somewhat of a pessimist.
“Yar… there was one other thing. When I were floatin’ in the sea, thinking this ‘twere the end for me, I saw a light comin’ from the island, a big blue light that was like nothing I’d ever seen before. Weren’t natural, that.”
“Aye, not ter burst yer bubble matey, but this here sign ain’t gonna be doing us any good ‘m afraid.”
“(Hesitating) Argh… fine! We’ll get yer bloomin’ treasure! And then we’re gettin’ off this island, ya hear?!”
Wilson is a traveler who was washed up on the desert island many years ago. He hasn't spoken to anyone in years and that is reflected in his stilted speech. He has a deep voice that can sound threatening.
“See no one! Now go, so I no see you either! Leave island, is my island!”
“Have not decided. Maybe put you on log and float you into sea. Maybe leave you for the crabs.”
“Maybe… maybe you go. Too much trouble anyways. Maybe you found, maybe you not. But this my side of island. You stay on yours!”
Red the Pirate Captain is a skilled and renowned pirate (or so he thinks). He has a hint of the 'pirate' accent, but sounds a bit more cultured and charismatic. His voice can alternating between suave but also threatening.
“Alright crew, listen up! We made it past the sea monster, now it’s time to collect our booty. Scour the island, we’re not leaving here until we have our treasure. Now get moving, before I make you all walk the plank! None shall stop us, for you’re the crew of the Impostorble, and I am your Captain, the Dread Pirate Red, ha ha ha ha!”
“Excuses, excuses! That’s all I’ve been hearing since we got here! Isn’t there one competent pirate among us?”
“So, came for the treasure did you? What a coincidence, so did I. We should… work together.”
Two separate but similar minor roles (different VA's). Pirate 1 and Pirate 2 are members of a pirate crew. They both speak with a stereotypical 'pirate' accent.
"Woah, who the heck are ye?!”
“Tell us where the treasure is ya dirty scallywag!”
“We’ll see about that, avast ye!”
This role is for an 'automated' computer voice, similar to a device such as Alexa or Siri. It is monotone and robotic, but meant to sound pleasant.
“Welcome to the Polus Mobile Research Facility. Current Crew: Zero. Current Status: Grounded.”
“Access granted. Security clearance: Crewmember.”
“Access code. Mira. (Short pause) Accepted. Downloading coordinates.”
The Mysterious Crewmember is part of a secret government agency. They are grim and straight to business, with few morals to be found. They're speaking through a communication device to an unknown handler.
This is the cleanup crew, we’re in. Yeah, it's a mess in here.
Full wipe down recommended. That’s right. Yeah, we’ll check the surveillance.
Don’t worry, nobody will know what happened here.
