Traingazing Animatic
Project Overview
Traingazing is an original screenplay that I wanted to experiment as an animatic! Throughout the animatic, there are various references to different songs and the movie 500 Days of Summer to emphasize the strong aspects of idealized romance. This story is about Kyong, a Korean girl, on a train heading to her college campus. She's immediately captivated when Oliver, a guy who looks both tired and reserved, walks into the train and, suddenly, all she wants to do is get to know him. This is meant to be a cute, simple story and animatic about a girl who wants to fall in love!
DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, this is not a paid project! In the future, I'd love to be able to pay the people involved in my projects, but for now, I am just making unpaid passion projects.
Auditions should contain:
2-3 takes per line if you're auditioning for a role
An example, or a few examples, of your artwork if you're applying to be an artist
Preferably your Discord tag (this goes for both VA and artist auditions, and this is so I have another way to reach out to you aside from CCC messages!)
Rules/Auditioning Guidelines:
1. Be respectful and easy to work with. With such a small project, this should be no problem, and I'd love to have a community with the few people necessary to start this animatic! Please always be kind, patient, and caring to everyone involved. :)
2. You MUST have a Discord account. This will be my form of communication throughout this project, and if you do not have one, I will not be able to work with you and involve you with the others in this project!
3. A core part of this project is the amount of creative freedom I'd love for everyone to have. This is an experimental animatic, and I'd love for the VAs to improvise from their lines a little bit to be more fitting to how they're portraying the personality of their character! I want you to be able to have fun with the character you're reading. The same goes to any additional artists if they'd like to experiment with their art within this project!
4. For both VAs and any possible artists, please have higher quality equipment. VAs should not have microphone issues, and should be able to record their lines without background noise. I want this animatic to be professional, and it's much easier when people have the right equipment and environment to do so!
5. The full script of the animatic will not be sent out until people are fully casted/selected, and of course, please do not actively share my screenplay with others outside of the project.
6. Everyone must be communicative, dedicated, and responsive! Please do not go MIA because every role is incredibly important. If you're having trouble getting lines or art in on time, come to me and let me know! I will always be completely understanding, as this project should not feel too stressful. We all have our own responsibilities, so as long as you can get it done at some point, that's okay! Keep in mind that this is a one-time project and not a series, so this is a dedication until the project is complete.
7. Lastly, understand that I will be calling everyone that is cast for a short interview eventually. This is just because I (or you!) may have individual questions, comments, or concerns, and it's also important for me to get to know who we will all be working with throughout this project.
A lot more information will be presented to those who are casted as a role!

Hey everyone!

He's known Oliver practically his whole life, and is always rooting for him. He's essentially the opposite of Oliver- in contrast to his shy and reserved personality- Jasson is pretty out there and willing to take risks. He also is a lot more trusting and optimistic with himself and his life.
