Project Overview

Hey there! The is the casting call for the pilot of our animation series: The Space Shift. The show follows four co-workers and friends - Makayla, Jesse, Andy, and Roy, along with their robot P.A.L. as they work for their local convenience store on the moon; all while dealing with their daily antics, problems, and galactic customers!

    Hey everyone! 



    Finally, we're here to announce the new cast of our project! Sorry for the long wait, the team has been spending the whole of the last week going through all of your submissions and let me tell you, we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how amazing they were! So many funny and emotional performances from rickrolling Bindos to hilarious romantically involved aliens, we have had a blast listening to each and every one of the auditions that came through. Thanks for the laughs that made this process all the more enjoyable. 


    We seriously can’t thank you all enough for helping us to bring The Space Shift to life!

    Before announcing the cast, a quick note: with all of the great auditions, we ended up double casting our Bindos and triple casting our Alien Customers! So, if you see your name on this list for secondary or tertiary roles for them, please keep an eye on your emails as we have manually added you to the roles here.

  • CASTING UPDATE!

    Hey everyone!

    We can't thank you all enough for all of your wonderful auditions and the support that you've shown for The Space Shift! The team is currently going through all of them to figure out who would best help bring the project to life!

    As we go through, please don't be discouraged if you didn't get selected or were dismissed. While there were hundreds of WONDERFUL auditions, we can only choose 9 to fill the roles and many times auditions are just edged out by the smallest things. You were all incredible and we again, appreciate you so much and wish you all the best in your voice acting careers!

    That being said, we will be reaching out within the next week to those who have been casted or shortlisted with any requests for contacts or possible re-auditions. So, please be on the lookout for any comments on your auditions or DMs.

Meet Makayla!
A straight “A” student, an over achiever, and a bit of a perfectionist. These are the aspects that make up: MAKAYLA! A recent college graduate, Makayla is one of the four humans working at The Store. She’s the responsible one of the group, making sure everyone stays on task. All while giving them a healthy dose of criticism to help them do their best. Whenever there’s a problem you can always count on her to figure out a plan…unless the plan fails. Then she just panics.

We’ll lose the teleportation pad! * A bit sarcastic here* You know, the thing that gets us back to EARTH? *pause and sigh, exasperated* We should just call an exterminator to deal with the Bindos. PAL, call an exterminator. *beat, then confused* PAL? (Note: Bindos is pronounced 'Bin-doughs')

  • *progressing from very panicked to extremely freaked out* Oh my god. Oh my god! There’s so many of them?! What are we going to do?! There’s no way we can handle this! Are we trapped here?! Are we just going to die?! *hyperventilating*

Meet Jesse!
The youngest and kindest member of the space shift gang is Jesse! He's a sweet little dork that mostly has his head up in the clouds, which often times interferes with his work. Though he can get easily distracted you can't deny that he gets along great with the intergalactic customers. Just looking at his smile can really brighten anyone's day. And though he may come across a little ditzy, he truly is the heart of the group.

  • *solemnly* I just told them that I wanted a star. I figured by the time they reach the atmosphere they will all burn up... Never to return again. *pause and sad sigh* I know I did the right thing, but I still led my people straight into a massacre. A moment of silence please.

Meet Andy!
A pretty chill, laid-back and easy-going person compared to everyone else who takes their work wayyyy too seriously. Andy sees this job as almost nothing more than fun, considering they're working in a store in SPACE! (I mean, how cool is that?!). Although most of the time they're level headed, they can be quite impulsive and never backs down from a challenge. Even if their doctor tells them to stop, they'll keep going, cause NOTHING can stop them!

  • They’re just collateral damage… Don’t worry about it- Anyways, It’ll trigger the final mechanism releasing the suspended shopping cart- which drops directly onto the Bindos. TRAPPING THEM! And allowing us to wheel them right out of the store into the vacuum of space.

Meet Roy!
He doesn't say much but what he lacks in communication skills- which ultimately range from "let me do my job" to "you come near me you die", he makes up for with his actions. But scary as though he may seem, he loves nature having been born and raised in the woods. He can adapt to any new habitat whether it be of the Earth or the bizarre creatures in space, having a keen eye for nearly anything around him. Well, anything except a place filled with advanced new technology and robots, the very things he despises and refuses to work with, a place just like the store he's working in now.
