This is a passion project that is inspired of the old Disney classic films like "The great mouse Detective" and Don Bluth's "The secret of NIMH". I am the 3d artist and writer of the project. This is a small idea that I've wanted to put out for a long time, and now I think I have a chance to really make it happen. The whole project will be about half an hour in length.
The story takes place in Scotland from the perspective of the rats. The old King and his father before him, gave Meier an obligation to continue his work and free all of rat kind from the foot of humankind after he would die. Being the only surviving member of his family, Meier was a lonely king. One day he was given a chance to save a lowly mouse from being eaten, and fell in love with her. After seeing how broken he really was, she helped him break threw his loneliness, and helped him to mature to a good king. Soon after getting married, they heard word that the humans were going to war, and that the lands they were living in would be destroyed. King Meier remembered his father's plan and worked to gather every tribe together to be transported out of the land. After much opposition, they get to the device in time to realize that the power that Meier once had, was needed to power everything. Knowing that her time has come, Meier's wife Anna Sacrifices herself to save everyone else. King Meier tries to stop her to keep her with him, but she shows him that he isn't alone anymore. Memories surround them as King Meier and Anna share one last moment together. She disappears, saving all of rat kind, leaving Meier a choice to continue.
