Project Overview

In the Amaron star-system, on a non-descript planet, in a non-descript city under a synthetic sky, this alien melting pot suffers as crime and corruption emanates from within a seemingly beautiful metropolis. 


Ruled by the Chromon Family, the dominant mafia of sentient androids, there is endless conflict from the mega-structures above, to the slums of the underground, with what government left untouched on the verge of being controlled. 


This is prime territory for a group of contractors: The Freelancers. For the right price, they reap the benefits made on the broken minds and bodies of others; to do any task for good or for ill. 


Among the freelancers is Kitty Sugawara. Looking to make ends meet and enjoy her cigarettes on her favorite rooftop hideout, one wonders why this former defender of justice retired early in a world so vile.

The Kitten: From Wives To Wormholes is, well, an original episodic Noir audio drama project I wish to make. Originally starting as an attempted web-novella, I decided that an audio-based format would be better for the story.


In this Neo-Pulp Noir story, on a non-descript city planet in the Amaron star-system, Kitty Sugawara works as a local freelancer, a mercenary capable of any job (with exceptions). On an uneventful night, she is approached by the wife of a union leader to investigate the disappearance of her husband. 


Hired as a private investigator, the case will take her high and low from the skies in her star-cruiser to the underground slums, not knowing this seemingly ordinary job will have her come face-to-face with the past.


More roles will be listed as time goes on. This project will be a mix of paid and unpaid roles depending on importance (prices are suggested and not final, can be negotiated). I will be editor and additional VA for certain scenes.


Requirements: A decent set-up without significant background noise (none preferred). Provide your Discord if interested or if chosen for a role.

  • Update #10: More Roles Casted

    This was done after much deliberation. The rest are still open to those who wish to audition, especially Kitty whom is definitely in flux. Got a good idea of who should be Celine Movak, but this will require further discussions.

The noir protagonist of The Kitten.

Age: 27

Kitty is a freelancer in the non-descript city in the Amaron System. She's hardboiled, seen it all in her previous life as an intergalactic vigilante, but does have a strong moral compass underneath her roughness. I'd imagine her to be a sort of female Humphrey Bogart or someone trying to fit the role of a professional Noir protagonist.

I originally envisioned her having Reinke's edema, sounding akin to someone like Miley Cyrus' current voice (https://youtu.be/XAN70VDPQb4?si=ZeB6dz6g6D-9MTzh) but this is not definite. That being said, I would prefer a more matured voice of some kind to be experimented with as the character should be more mature beyond her physical age, though this is more like a suggestion. Even I'm trying to figure out what Kitty should sound like and need you to help me figure it out through your performance. Non-binary actors very much welcome to audition!

In the story, she is hired to solve mystery of her client's missing husband, only to unravel a greater conspiracy within, as all great noir stories tell.

He's tough, but friendly enough. I've always had someone like a Robert Redford type voice for him in my head, but feel free to experiment.

In the story, he's a source of information to Kitty and a long-standing friend.

Kordo Of Kalsan.

A ruthless arms dealer and criminal who seeks revenge against the Orbinus Alliance after they subjected him to the gradual decay of his homeworld. He, admittedly, does not appear until later in the story, but plays a big role.
