The Glow-Up
The Glow-Up is a transformation fetish Visual Novel featuring a male human who transforms into a female catgirl. It is a very short, free, experimental game to help my team get a better feel for creating video games, and will release before our other game, Twisted Secrets: Part 1 (which will be noticeably more complex than this one is to be).
About Payment
All positions will be paid. We pay in USD and using PayPal. After the 23rd of this month, payments will be split between the two Studio owners. Your position is temporary and only for this game (unless you decide to also try applying for the next games we shall be working on). We expect you to do the work, but not turn it in before full payment. We will pay half upfront, and then when you are done, show us a watermarked version of your art (or just a little bit of your lines, if you are a VA) and we will send you the rest before you send them unwatermarked (or all lines, if you are a VA).
Requirements
You absolutely must be 18+, with no exceptions, and provide evidence that you are.
We will not respect discrimination of any kind. If you are a bigot, you will swiftly be shown the door.
You must have a Discord so that you can join the server and converse with other members of the team (as well as participate in conference calls, should you be able to make them).

Sam is the victim of the transformation. Being a very introverted college freshman, he is bullied by two more outgoing girls. A Photography major with a passion for capturing beauty. He works at a bakery and has a best friend who supports him no matter what.

I'm not just going to talk for the sake of talking.
Samantha is the result of Sam's transformation. She comes off as way more confident than Sam did, as though becoming feminine gave her a sense of proper self-worth. Still being a bit submissive, she has more of a fierce spark to her than Sam did.
She's also the epitome of a big tiddy goth gf, if you're into that sort of thing.

Felicity is Sam's main bully. She is often accompanied by Hayden everywhere - including when she torments and pushes Sam around. She's an easily annoyed, always seemingly irritated, spoiled girl with her daddy's money and too much time on her hands to do as she pleases to others.
Maybe you should eat some makeup so you can be pretty on the inside too.

Hayden is Sam's other bully. She follows Felicity around everywhere, obeying and going along with everything she says + does like an obedient, loyal dog. She's very cheerful and doesn't have the demeanor of a bully whatsoever - she comes off more like an airheaded accessory for Felicity to use as a right hand man. She does have a secret sadistic side, though~

A very, very minor character. Sam's photography professor. He only shows up at the beginning of the VN.

We need you to focus on maintaining a "girly mixed with gothic" aesthetic. We love to give our artists creative freedom, so you'll be able to make this up on your own and adjust it to your own tastes.

16 changes/transitions in certain CGs (no change to background, just character/s)

You'll be making 6 different backgrounds for us to use! Please try to maintain a less realistic/complicated, more cartoony (or anime-ish) and simple look!

And, lastly, you're in charge of the little expression sprites that you often see in Visual Novels! Just like the background, we don't want anything complex or realistic!
There will be a total of 23 expression sprites to make (working with 5 different characters!)
