The Gathering Storm
Project Overview
Wizards of the Coast releases an online web story for Magic: the Gathering just about every week. It is our goal on the Voice of All podcast to bring these stories to life through audio.
This week we are casting for major roles in the ongoing series The Gathering Storm, a tale of intrigue among the guilds on the plane of Ravnica. You can read the currently available chapters of the story here:

If you're interested in hearing our past works, you can listen to all of them here:

We can also be found on Spotify, Soundcloud, Stitcher, YouTube, iTunes, and Google Podcasts! We are looking to keep up with the release of Wizards' stories as best as possible and will release our version the second following Friday, so expect to be cast this week and have your lines to me within a few days.
As a general casting note, I do not typically have any voice requirements in mind for characters. I would much rather hear your interpretations and choose from among them.

A confident, roguish duelist with a mysterious past, Kaya has the ability to become partially incorporeal—allowing her to slip through solid items and physically interact with ghosts and the spirit world.
Kaya is a firm believer that life is for the living. The living should make the most of their lives and pursue what they want while they've still got time, and find their own peace before death. If you die with unfinished business, well, that's probably your fault. And if it's not...perhaps she could help you...for a price. In the current story, Kaya was hired to assassinate the ghostly leaders of the Orzhov Syndicate by a force she's starting to learn did not entirely have her best interests at heart.
Kaya is a planeswalker and a major character in Magic. Should you accept this role, you may be asked to reprise it in future stories.
"If you don't trust me, don't let me into your house. I can always find another client. And you can either find someone else with my very unusual skill set or live with your dear mother's ghost forever."
"I would prefer to remain alive, too, if that's important to your planning. What's your distraction?"
[As a ghost wails at her] "Very spooky! Want to rattle some windows? Maybe throw some plates around?"
The sphinx Isperia is the leader of the Azorius Senate, the guild which governs law and its enforcement on Ravnica. As guildmaster she serves as the supreme judge, taking advantage of her encyclopedic knowledge of Ravnica's labyrinthine legal system. She is wise and frequently aloof, always confident in the power of law and order. As a sphinx, she is large and imposing. Few would dare question her.
"In any event. The Living Guildpact is not performing his function. It may be that further amendments are required. At the very least, it will do no harm to assemble a guild summit."
"It would explain much about Azor. And the Firemind must never be discounted entirely. At the same time, we have grown used to ignoring his . . . flights of fancy."
"We will handle the particulars. But convincing the other guilds to attend at all will still be your responsibility, Master Zarek. I hope you are equal to it."
Xeddick is a kraul; a member of the insectile race that live and work underground within the Golgari swarm. Xeddick is a small and sickly specimen, with useless wings and a pale white. But what he lacks in physicality, he makes up by being a telepath, able to communicate mind-to-mind, heal traumas, and rip information out as necessary. He is quiet and shy and does not like causing trouble. He only wants to help Queen Vraska, who helped him out and raised him up from his lowly place.
[rather unhappy] Do not resist, enemy-Jarad. It only makes the pain worse.
As you wish, friend-Vraska. Shall I proceed?
Because if you wanted that part of your mind sealed, you might have had good reason, Xeddick said. If I unseal it, I do not have the skill to repeat the process. What is in there may change you, friend-Vraska. And I . . . do not wish you to change . . . But I do not wish you to be unhappy, either.
Lazav is the shapeshifting guildmaster of House Dimir, a secretive organization acting as spies, assassins, and couriers for the world of Ravnica. He takes many forms and in this story he takes the form of a small girl in an alleyway. You have the interesting challenge of sounding like a small child of 6 or 7 while conveying fairly adult concepts and emotions. Have fun!
"Whaddya you want?" [pretending to just be a kid]
"I apologize for poor Hellas's condition. She was a loyal subordinate, but just a bit too clever for her own good." [sigh] "So it goes."
[growing increasingly upset as the line goes] "Oh, no. It's worse than that. There has been infiltration. Someone has placed agents in my precious Dimir. Someone else has touched their thoughts. It cannot be permitted. It will not stand. You will see. There will be a reckoning!"
