Never a better time than now - later, I will cast the roles I've provided. Once I've casted every one available now, I will add the other roles and wait for them to be cast.
The Daedalian Nightmare
Project Overview
This is a novelette I wrote some few months ago - I wasn't planning to do much with it until the idea of potentially having it voice acted and uploaded for entertainment sounded good.
"Dex Foreli is a careless young man who used to spend hours upon hours designing fictional worlds to occupy himself with. Unfortunately, his reckless personality causes him to end up in near-fatal condition and comatose - though, he is quickly declared hopeless - his condition peaks the curiosity of three doctors. As expected, Dex finds himself in a dream that he recognizes - naturally, he expects it to end as it always does and wake up in his bed.
Finding himself stuck in the dream - he quickly comes to understand the grim nature of his situation. He decides to assume the identity of his most prized character, that of "Nectarios, the Andromeda King," and begins his quest to reclaim the lands that now exist in his mind."
Audition Requirements
- Good mic quality - please
- interest in stories or fantasy stories - this one isn't really THAT necessary but it would make things easier

Auditions
Almost all the auditions I've gotten have sounded amazing and I'm so happy with them. I'll probably be casting soon. I'll definitely at least wait to the deadline to cast but there are SOME I'm about certain when it comes to casting!!! -

Nectarios is the person that Dex is embodying within his dream/nightmare state. Everything about him is a dramatized version of the reality. His voice is deep, slightly demonic, but powerful. He sounds as though he wants to command but doesn't quite know how, yet.

Good. Now, let's go to the keep. I wish to speak with my court, all of them- actually, no.

Archemorus - in this section - is a very minor role. He is traveling away from the realm he should be ruling and instead adventuring with random people across the lands.
I did. Soothing to know they are not from sickness, nor is she more ill.

Dr. Whitman is one of three doctors that decided to take it upon themselves to understand the trauma of Dex's mind. He is obsessive and shaky. His voice should sound like that of someone who is absolutely convinced of his deductions and theories.
He doesn't wake up - but the dream ends and restarts at the same spot. Until today. The dream shouldn't end, it's likely to continue instead.
Shall we watch?

Dr. Khaem is the young one of the three doctors - the inexperienced, the 'nice' one. He's there mostly for entertainment but has the underlying desire to help when he can. His voice should be higher and sounding of a young person having finally found something entertaining.

Sarah is one of Dex's closest friends. She tries her best to visit him when she can for him and on behalf of his mother. She is very argumentative and tends to look in places she shouldn't - she also cares little for other people's opinions.
I'm here to visit Dex. His mother told me you were allowing visitors now. Also, a man at the front of the building asked me to give you this card to give to his daughter - he said you weren't allowing him to visit her anymore.
What were you two talking about - you can read those scribbles?
People in comas tend to dream - why are his so special?

Dex is trapped in a dream/nightmare. For most of this, he's feeling lost and confused. He's attempting to imitate a god-figure that he created in his head - while his own internal voice is still that of a YOUNG and CHILDISH man. He's also very scared for his life - and just wants to wake up from the dream.
Have I been reborn? This.... he looks so familiar....

Ophira is one of the few people that Dex ends up trusting within the Dream, she is clearly honest with him and holds back little regarding information.
Not only are your chambers filled with dust - your artifact is on the ground. The product of letting children play in your room.
I would be surprised to see that it isn’t even broken, though I doubt such a relic could break easily.
I’m afraid that Thadeus is the scribe. I would not be able to accurately capture your prowess in a retelling of your previous time here. Forgive me.

Keep in mind that within the context of this story, Dex created these characters when he was youngish - so Sepuntepet is absolutely insane and over-the-top and "obsessed" with him. Quotes for reasons later revealed.
The voice should definitely sound like a soft-voice that could VERY QUICKLY turn insane.
