TES V: Skyrim Extended Cut

Project Overview

THE ELDER SCROLLS V: SKYRIM EXTENDED CUT MODIFICATION

*** We have now filled all roles for this project. Due to the high volume of auditions, we are unable to reply to all applicants. Please keep an eye out for additional postings from the Extended Cut team as expansions to the mod enter development! ***

Hey! I'm Catir, project lead for the Skyrim Extended Cut game modification (formerly Skyrim Main Quest Enhanced). Casting Call Club has been a great resource for mod authors in the past, and I'm excited to hopefully work with many of you as part of our project's team. Voice acting for Skyrim EC offers the opportunity to step into the role of a dynamic original character or create your own interpretation of a vanilla character--sure, it's great to say you've acted in a mod, but not many can say they've voiced Alduin the World-Eater! Thank you for visiting this casting call page--we're looking forward to (literally) hearing from you!

>> SO WHAT DOES THIS MOD ACTUALLY DO?

Skyrim EC is a quest mod that is unique in its content type: rather than adding a new storyline to the game, it overhauls Skyrim's main questline, attempting to bring it up to a higher standard of quality. While the project is focused on the "return of the dragons" main quest line, we also hope to eventually cover the Civil War portion of the main story as well. To our knowledge, Skyrim EC will be the first fully-voiced total overhaul for a major Skyrim story arc, which we're excited to make happen. The mod is built around five goals that we believe will lead to a better main story experience for Skyrim players:

Refined and expanded storytelling. This is the obvious keystone of Skyrim EC: enhancing the main quest of Skyrim. We estimate that the length of the main storyline, depending on your gameplay style and difficulty, has roughly doubled from vanilla. Our changes and additions are largely based on years of player feedback on the game's main story and suggestions on ways to make it more interesting. Some notable changes include a rework of the dragon antagonists, the introduction of a new villainous faction, more content focused on the lore of the Dragon War, increased Thalmor involvement, an expanded mid-game, integration with the Dragonborn DLC, and a near-total overhaul of everything involving the Blades. Wherever possible, we have tried to avoid "fetch quests" and filler content. Dialogue is written for vanilla consistency: while we were inspired by outstanding mods like Kris Takahashi's Interesting NPCs, we found that overloading the dialogue system with exposition and overly long conversations distracts from the story experience itself and have chosen to format dialogue in a style closer to vanilla Skyrim--we try to "show, not tell" where applicable. We have tried to make sure that each quest feels unique, optimized and fun to play through, and that dialogue adds to the experience rather than subtracts from it.

Improved character development and agency. Over the last nine years, Skyrim mod creators have developed hundreds of beloved characters that help make the game a joy to play. SmartBlueCat's Inigo, for example, is a constant fixture in my load order. But what I've found is that these characters only make most of Skyrim's vanilla cast seem even more lackluster by comparison. Skyrim EC attempts to address this issue by shifting a more organic cast of characters to the forefront of the story, rather than focusing on Delphine and her much-maligned railroading, hostility and disregard for player input. The new main cast offers unique personalities, motivations, and personal quests that help a player develop meaningful relationships with these characters. Also present are interactions with several popular follower mods and friendship/romance relationship paths for the main characters in the vein of BioWare and CD Projekt Red RPG titles. In short, our goal is to create characters that you actively want to talk to, which contributes to shaping a storyline that you play through out of enjoyment rather than obligation. We also want to clarify that most vanilla characters will not be revoiced, and will instead have their dialogue rearranged or edited if necessary (in general, the more popular the character, the less likely that their voice has been replaced, as that character is less likely to need enough change to warrant revoicing.)

More meaningful choices. While we've all stressed about what to do with Paarthurnax (or, at least some of you have; I always spare him, the old softie,) Skyrim's main quest doesn't offer much in the way of impactful choices--for an open-world RPG, this is a particularly stifling issue. Skyrim EC adds significant replay value by implementing decisions that reward a player for putting themself in their Dragonborn's shoes by having a meaningful effect on the world of Tamriel. Skyrim EC helps make each character more unique by using player data like race, allegiance, and even skill values to change the reactions of people around you based on more than just dialogue.

Competent, lore-friendly writing. Look, we've all had that moment of quest-mod irritation when our mighty Dragonborn gets knocked out from behind by some two-septim bandit. Skyrim EC scrupulously avoids irritating tropes, immersion-ruining typos, and blatantly nonsensical, corny, or cringe-inducing dialogue. Our writing is strictly in line with Elder Scrolls lore, and we aren't trying to one-up Bethesda's vision for the world of Tamriel: for example, we're focused on making Alduin a better villain, not tossing him aside in favor of our own (though we do have some new villainous characters that we hope you'll enjoy!) Every piece of writing in this mod is edited for lore, content, and formatting.

Engaging gameplay, quest and level design. While Skyrim EC is first and foremost a story mod, our ultimate goal of creating a better Skyrim experience means that we place an emphasis on refining the video game side of things as well. The mod boasts features including  scripted boss fights, advanced puzzles, and minor changes to certain artifacts and spells while maximizing compatibility with the overwhelming majority of gameplay mods.

>> HOW IS CASTING ORGANIZED?

Our posted roles are divided into lead roles, supporting roles, and voicetype/minor roles. The Skyrim EC developers strongly encourage you to audition for as many roles as you are interested in; this won't negatively impact your audition results (it actually improves your chances of getting a role,) and we may decide to cast actors as multiple characters. Voicetype roles inherently cover multiple minor characters, similar to Skyrim's existing voicetype system for most non-principal NPCs. While we don't have exact line estimates, in general leads can expect to have total dialogue equivalent to a larger-end modded follower, supporting characters can expect to have total dialogue equivalent to a vanilla Skyrim character, and voicetypes will have varying amounts of total dialogue dependent on how many minor characters use the given voice. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions about casting or roles.

>> WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU?

As a mod project, we're unfortunately unable to offer payment for these roles. However, we have done our best to create a great work environment for our voice actors, and for all contributors to the project. Here's some of what you can look forward to as a cast member for Skyrim EC:

  • An emphasis on polite, respectful and timely communication between all contributors.
  • Clean, well-formatted PDF script files with tone directions and highlighted lines for roles.
  • Direction based on constructive feedback, with the ability to make your own suggestions for your character.
  • We don't include any sexually explicit dialogue, and cursing is comparable to vanilla Skyrim (not excessive.)
  • Free Moon Sugar, but you didn't hear it from me.

>> WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Skyrim EC is a fan mod project for a popular video game being produced for zero revenue, so we aren't going to give you any complex contracts or policy. With that said, we do have a few general conduct and audition expectations for voice actors to be aware of:

  • Please make sure that noise removal is present for all submitted audio files! If this is not the case, we will unfortunately have to reject your audition on technical grounds.
  • The project's standards for quality and consistency require cast members to use reasonably high-grade recording equipment. You don't need a $10,000 microphone, but the sound quality should be near or at vanilla Skyrim's.
  • We are dedicated to respect and professionalism and ask that all project contributors, including voice cast members, adhere to those values when working and communicating.
  • While our schedule is flexible and we're very understanding that things can come up, we expect cast members to do their best to meet deadlines and hold themselves accountable.
  • Cast members, particularly leads, are requested to commit to a relatively long-term period of availability to work on updates and expansions to the mod project if at all possible.
  • The only hard requirements we have for voice actors are full English language fluency and a minimum age of 18 years old (unless specifically noted otherwise for a given role.)
  • We're not picky about your background! Whether you're a brand-new aspiring voice actor or a veteran with a massive IMDB page, we welcome anyone and everyone to audition for our roles.

>> SO, IN CONCLUSION...

Thanks for reading through that Elder Scroll-length project description (it's only because we care so much!) If you have any other questions, please send me a message and I will do my best to respond as fast as I can. The Skyrim EC team and I are grateful for your time and we can't wait to listen to everyone's auditions. Good luck, and may your road lead you to warm sands!

Latest Updates

  • Looking Back and Moving Forward

Hey everyone, We are now wrapping up the audition period for Skyrim: Extended Cut, and will be transitioning into the final decision process for casting roles. We thank all of you for your patience, particularly to those who have participated in the callback process so far, as the overwhelming number of auditions slowed down our ability to get back to you. Catir has heard so many dragon auditions that he’s started to mumble “die, mortal” in his sleep. But we wouldn’t have it any other way. Auditions for this project turned out to be extremely competitive. We received over seven hundred and thirty auditions for twenty-two roles, which comes out to about 3% of auditions being able to be accepted. The most competitive role was Saril Aren, with 65 auditions. We had no shortage of high-quality auditions for roles, and regret that the scope of the project only allows for a certain number of actors at our current stage of development. For those of you who were not selected for a role or have not yet had the chance to audition, we strongly encourage you to continue to follow this project, as we will update our casting call when more characters are needed for the mod’s expansions. We are beyond grateful for the immense interest and talent we have seen from the CastingCallClub community over the last month. We are excited to get started with our new actors, and continue to work on Skyrim: Extended Cut in hopes of realizing our goal of creating a better story experience for the game we love and sharing it with you. Breath and focus, Catir, Archliam and Sunst0ne Developers, Skyrim Extended Cut
  • Skyrim Extended Cut: Weekend Update Part 2

Hello! As of today, Skyrim: Extended Cut has received 200 CastingCallClub auditions. We are so thrilled by everyone's interest and have had a blast going through everyone's auditions. To those of you who have received notices about requested callback material but have not yet been sent your callback information, please expect it within the next 24 hours or so as we finish up work for the weekend. For those of you who have completed your callback materials, thank you for your excellent additional work. We are continuing to accept and process auditions, so if you auditioned previously and have not been contacted about callbacks yet, that doesn't necessarily mean you won't be at some point later. Thank you once again, and have a wonderful weekend!
  • Skyrim Extended Cut: Weekend Update

Hello everyone! We are very grateful and excited to have received over 120 auditions and nearly 50 project followers for Skyrim Extended Cut over the last three days. I personally have very much enjoyed listening to everyone’s auditions, and have been impressed by the work you’ve submitted. We will be promoting the project today in hopes of getting some more auditions over the weekend, and will start shortlisting for some roles Monday (we will contact you about this, and may request some additional audition lines.) Thanks once again for your auditions and interest in Skyrim Extended Cut. As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

Alhana

Role assigned to: celestielle

Alhana is a Nord adventurer first encountered in Bleak Falls Barrow on the same artifact recovery quest as the player. The two team up to retrieve the Dragonstone and eventually become friends. A lover of Nord history and legends, she accepted Farengar's request because she wants to study the ancient dragon language and learn to use the Voice, and wants to impress the Greybeards so that they will allow her to train with them. The player can teach her different Shouts over the course of the game. Eventually, the player learns more about her background, discovering that there's more to her story than initially believed. She is also involved in the rebuilding of the Blades and the Markarth section of the story. Alhana's personal quests, in conjunction with certain main quest decisions, determine the ending to her story (with a number of outcomes), and the large amount of focus placed on her character in the early and late game make her the most notable main quest NPC, similar to Delphine's "starring role" in the vanilla main quest. This character is a romance/marriage option.

As a Nord, an American or Nordic accent is ideal for this character, but you may use another accent if you believe it will fit the character well. Alhana is relatively young, but not without experience, and her voice actress should be able to portray a broad range of moods and emotions. Tone is confident and friendly; speech should be thoughtful and clear. Inspirations for the character include Eowyn from Lord of the Rings and Ciri from The Witcher III.

  • (happy) Being in the mountains always reminds me of where I grew up. You can learn a lot from teaching yourself to climb.

  • (angry) You're just going to stay silent while the world breaks apart? That's madness! You have to help us!

  • (jokingly) You sure meet some interesting people in Whiterun. There was this one man at the town square who kept... You know what, I'll tell you later. Let's get to the Jarl.

Kesem

Role assigned to: DanTheVoiceMan

Kesem Bolar is a Redguard officer of the Penitus Oculatus, serving as a special inspector to investigate rumors of dragons following the attack on Helgen. He fights with a unique crossbow and is skilled in stealth combat as an operative, and often makes use of disguises during quests (sometimes with humorous results.) He is fiercely loyal to the Emperor and the Empire, and has an interest in the history of the now-defunct Blades, the potential rebuilding of which is the focus of his personal quests.  He has a grudge against the Thalmor for their destruction of the Blades, which his father served in, and for their perceived role in the destruction of Hammerfell. He's one of the more lighthearted characters and likes to joke around, but holds himself professionally and is able to speak seriously about important topics. This character is a romance/marriage option.

An American accent is preferred for this role, but not absolutely required. Voice actors should ideally be able to perform a variety of different accents, as the character disguises himself as someone else on several occasions throughout the story. No specific tone or speech patterns are required; please feel free to offer your own interpretation of how Kesem might sound based on his character description.

  • (seriously) Inspector Kesem Bolar, Penitus Oculatus Special Tasks Division. Follow me, sir. I've got a few questions for you.

  • (jokingly) We'll have to take the indirect approach. Maybe we could lure him to a cliff somewhere and you can shout him off the edge? Just thinking out loud.

  • (barely restrained anger) I'm not letting you kill anyone else. Stand down or die.

Lyria

Role assigned to: BeccaTheBard

Lyria Signus is a mage and researcher with the Imperial Geographical Society assigned to study the Dwemer and Nordic ruins in the province of Skyrim. The ongoing civil war has made this difficult, so Lyria has gone to the College of Winterhold to stay with her grandfather Septimus, only to discover that he has gone missing. When the Last Dragonborn shows up asking about the Elder Scrolls, Lyria joins up--somewhat reluctantly--for the adventure of a lifetime, growing as a character in the process. Lyria is sweet, somewhat awkward, and knowledgeable about the lore that factors into Skyrim’s main quest, but easily gives into temptation when faced with the prospect of forbidden knowledge, a flaw which her character arc mostly focuses on. This character is a romance/marriage option.

A RP British accent is preferred, but other British and American accents are fine if true to the character. Speech is more casual than formal. Ideal voice is something similar to Sam Traynor from Mass Effect. Tone is warm and inquisitive. Speech should be clear and higher-pitched (but not excessively.)

  • (happily) I love it here! So much to do, so much to learn... they don't even care if you set Faralda's boots on fire during the entrance trial. (beat) Hypothetically.

  • (amazed) By the Divines, a real Elder Scroll! I never thought I'd lay eyes on one myself... I wish my grandfather could see me now.

  • (inquisitive/jokingly) I have no idea what the Thalmor would be doing in Blackreach. Do they think Talos is hiding in the crimson nirnroot?

Saril

Role assigned to: skurleton

Saril Aren is a gruff, sarcastic Dunmer mercenary and accomplished two-handed warrior living in the Windhelm Grey Quarter.  The player first encounters him when looking for a way to reach Solstheim, and he acts as the main supporting character for the Solstheim arc of the story. He has a unique perspective as one of very few pro-Stormcloak Dark Elves: he feels that being a Nord is about more than just birth, and that the Dunmer should do more to participate in Skyrim's society and traditions to earn the trust of the native Nords rather than isolate themselves. The player has the opportunity to oppose or support this point of view. His father Savos is the current Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold, but Saril's lack of magical talent led to a falling-out between the two of them years ago.  His personal story arc focuses on finding his place in the world and has a couple of different endings depending on player choices and opinions expressed over the course of the game. This character is a romance/marriage option.

While most Dunmer have British accents, an American accent is also acceptable for this character. Voice should be sort of raspy and drawling, with inspirations including Teldryn Sero and Garrus Vakarian. Tone is sarcastic and deflecting, but with warmth under the surface. Speech is sharp and somewhat aggressive, especially for combat lines.

  • (serious) This armor was given to me by my father. I'm not quite sure what it's made of, but it's some sort of enchanted ice. Sort of a heavy-handed metaphor, sure, but damn if it isn't comfortable.

  • (sarcastic) My people worship a group of three living gods called the Tribunal. Wait, no, now it's the other Tribunal. The new one's just Daedra worship. (beat) The Dunmer are a strange lot.

  • (aggressive; combat dialogue) Come on, you damn s'wit, at least give me a challenge!

Miraak

Role assigned to: ShaunDoesVoices

Miraak is an ancient Dragon Priest who turned against his draconic masters and was punished for his insolence, escaping death only through the intervention of the Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora. He is extremely ambitious, motivated and inventive, and much of his personal story arc revolves around accepting the consequences of his overreach thousands of years ago. The player seeks him out on Solstheim after discovering that he is the only living person who still knows the Dragonrend shout, but their efforts are held up by the priest's unexpected attempt to take over the island. Skyrim EC expands the scope of Miraak’s role in the plot, as he transitions from the main antagonist of the Solstheim arc to an unusual ally in the fight against Alduin over the course of the main questline. Voice actors should be prepared to deliver a varied performance ranging from smug villainy to contemplative discussion.

A fairly deep voice with an American accent is preferred, though a Nordic accent would be optimal if the acting quality is high enough. Must be able to pronounce dragon-language words. Tone is generally serious (though he does ham it up at times;) speech is terse, not too fast, and formal/antiquated, as if speaking English learned from reading Shakespeare.

  • (arrogant, taunting) Do you ever wonder if it hurts? Having one’s soul ripped out like that?

  • (with quiet determination) Do not fear for me, fahdon. Perhaps we will meet again in Sovngarde, if there is still hope that remains for my soul.

  • (exasperated) If I never see another book again, it will still be too soon.

Alduin

Alduin is the tyrannical ruler of the dragon race, prophesied to consume the world at the end of time. He is the main antagonist of 'Skyrim'. His role has been expanded to be less two-dimensional by focusing on his internal rebellion against the cycle he’s a part of and his contrasting philosophy to that of his brother Paarthurnax. He has been given additional scenes mostly towards the end of the game, and his appearances during the course of the story have also been expanded, giving the player more chances to interact with the character.

Voice is deep and growling with an American accent. Must be able to pronounce dragon-language words. You do not need to tweak the audio to make it sound more like a dragon, I can take care of that on my end (but if you want to anyways, go ahead.) Tone is hammy and arrogant, but with a profound sorrow behind the words. Speech is slow, rhythmic and delivered with absolute confidence.

  • (threatening) You will be punished for this treachery, sonaak. Vahlok fen krii hi faz. All that you have built will be destroyed.

  • (bitter) Paarthurnax is a blind fool. He would see the world end simply because our father commands it to be so. I refuse. Bormahu los nahlot. A god who offers no answers deserves no loyalty.

  • (with terrified disbelief) No, it is impossible! Zu'u haalvut vahzah oblaan! Not… yet…

Miranya

Role assigned to: celestielle

Miranya is an Inquisitor of the Divine Prosecution, a high-ranking Thalmor officer sent by headquarters to audit the Blackreach project. She is the most visible antagonist from the Thalmor faction, and the player encounters her on numerous occasions. She is a true believer in elven supremacy, even debating the subject with the player at one point. With the exception of Nahkriin and the Daedra, Miranya is likely the most blatantly evil and sadistic of the mod's characters, and voice actors should prepare to exemplify the condescending, villainous stereotype that many members of the Thalmor fall into--and have fun doing it.

A sophisticated-sounding British accent is mandatory for this character. Tone is condescending and sarcastic, dipping into anger every so often. Speech should be smoothly and piercingly delivered.

  • (sarcastic) Yes, you delayed a handful of disorganized adventurers for a few minutes at absolute most. You are truly a credit to the Dominion.

  • (angry) Give me the Paragon and I might consider letting you leave with your head still attached to your neck!

  • (threatening) The First Emissary has made herself very clear, Tarsilno. The Scroll is our first priority. Remember that next time you have one of your "clever" ideas.

Igmund

Role assigned to: Walt Allen

Igmund is the current Jarl of the Reach. As one of Skyrim's eight provincial rulers, he has a lot on his plate, including staving off the Forsworn ravaging the Reach, sustaining peace with the Empire, and keeping the mafioso-esque Silver-Blood family in check. His participation in the Markarth Incident during the reign of his father has made him a central figure in Skyrim politics, and he's seen as one of the more experienced and even-handed jarls along with his longtime friend Balgruuf of Whiterun. His subjects have mixed feelings on his reign, with some saying that he is not doing enough to address the Forsworn crisis. He is a major supporting character during the Markarth sections of the story and is involved with a variety of other functions such as the thaneship quest for the Reach.

Voice should sound older and dignified, with an American or Nordic accent. Tone is confident and even, and speech is clear and calculated, if somewhat evasive of difficult questions.

  • (resolute) I will not surrender Markarth without raising my own sword in her defense.

  • (cordial) Welcome to Markarth, friend. I am Igmund, son of Hrolfdir, Jarl of the Reach and Lord of the City of Stone.

  • (serious) Do you think I enjoy having Ondolemar and his thugs breathing down my neck at all hours? No. We must expel the Thalmor from the lands of men, and Skyrim stands no chance alone. The Empire is our only hope for lasting peace.

Nahkriin

Role assigned to: talkingNsuch

Nahkriin is an ancient Dragon Priest and the former high priest of the Dragon Cult as Alduin's personal prelate. Partway through the storyline, his ghost possesses a character's body after an ambush in his tomb, and he finally returns in the flesh for the Skuldafn arc after being empowered and resurrected by Alduin. He is a major villain and the principal antagonist from the Dragon Cult faction. As the ruling religious leader from "a time of unimaginable cruelty," Nahkriin is a fairly cut-and-dry villain character, though his motivations are explored somewhat towards the end of the storyline.

Voice should be deep and menacing with an American or Nordic accent. Voice actors should be able to match some of their lines to prerecorded audio to create a "possession" overlay effect. Must be able to pronounce dragon-language words. Tone is cruel and intelligent; speech is archaic and slightly unsteady due to Nahkriin's lack of proficiency in modern language.

  • (arrogant) In my time, the lords of men were warriors. Stand and fight, whelp, and I will claim your heart for the World-Eater's glory.

  • (bitter) Only I could have unlocked the seal. You have doomed yourself, girl. Your thirst for vengeance was your undoing.

  • (curious) Wo bex dii qoth wah vokrii zu'u nol dinok? Alduin, thuri? Los nii hi? Zu'u lost saraan fah kruziik.

Odahviing, known as the  Red Death, is a mighty crimson dragon and the right hand of Alduin the World-Eater. While his most notable appearance is still his entrapment within Dragonsreach, he has been given several new scenes throughout the story establishing him as an antagonist and rival for the player character, and he later becomes a summonable companion once his respect has been earned.

Voice should be deep and growling with an American accent. Must be able to pronounce dragon-language words. You do not need to tweak the audio to make it sound more like a dragon, I can take care of that on my end (but if you want to anyways, go ahead.) Tone is your classic dragon: arrogant and energetic. Speech is somewhat slow and stilted due to Odahviing’s imperfect command of human language, but still clearly and confidently delivered.

  • (frustrated) Nid! Horvutah med kodaav. Caught like a bear in a trap.

  • (angry) You persist in your krifdez--your struggle against fate. You claim the name of dovah; to hold strength that matches Alduin’s. Lo boziik. I will burn away such pretension!

  • (with pride) Are you ready to see the world as only a dovah can?

Farengar Secret-Fire is the  court wizard of Whiterun and a friend of Jarl Balgruuf. His interest in dragon research leads him to recruit adventurers to assist him with his projects, such as the recovery of a long-lost dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow. His role and backstory have been somewhat expanded, and he has a number of new scenes (notably acting as a major supporting character during the Kynesgrove dragon encounter.) Farengar has a very dry sense of humor and only shows real excitement when presented with the chance to conduct new research.

A Scottish or Irish accent is ideal for this character, but not required. Tone should be even and intelligent. Speech is accented and slightly stilted.

  • (insightful) One sure mark of a fool is to dismiss anything that falls outside his experience as being impossible.

  • (excited) Not today, mate. We have a dragon to catch!

  • (irritated) I suggest you stop speaking to me before I fall asleep standing up.

Tarsilno is an Altmer member of the Psijic Order, a monastic group of mages that monitor unusual phenomena throughout the world. He has been reluctantly convinced to use his magical skills to supervise the Thalmor's Blackreach project, but his personal dislike of their views and his order's apolitical nature have created tension between him and the Thalmor soldiers under his command. He is a supporting ally during the Blackreach section of the story.

Voice should be educated with a British accent, similar to other Altmer, though somewhat warmer and friendlier. Tone is thoughtful and professorial. Speech should be clearly pronounced.

  • (excited) This place is an anomaly the likes of which I've never seen! I could spend years down here and still not truly understand it!

  • (hurried) You'll need to get to the master control room and open the Mzark gate remotely. Quickly! I can't keep up this act forever.

  • (wistful) You'd have made a fine Psijic yourself, you know. Thank you for all you've done. Now go. I'll stall them.

Mephala is one of the oldest and most powerful of the godlike Daedric Princes and the patron of lies, sex, murder, and secrets. She first appears during the early game as the malevolent force behind Jarl Balgruuf's curse, and is eventually revealed to be conspiring with the dragons, reappearing at various points throughout the story, such as during the Solstheim arc. As a Daedric Prince, she is not a physical antagonist, but her plans create or contribute to various problems that the player must solve during the storyline.

Any accent is acceptable for this voice; this character should speak slowly and almost seductively, and always with a faint menace behind the words.

  • (manipulative) First, you must open this door. A piece of my power has been locked away behind it, and even my eyes cannot see past the seals. I'd much rather it be in the hands of an ambitious and talented person such as yourself.

  • (menacing) You will regret this, mortal.

  • (amused) He will die within days, of course. Such a lovely curse, don't you think?

Faleen is the Redguard housecarl and guard-captain of the city of Markarth. She is fiercely loyal to Igmund and his family, and has a distrust of the Thalmor presence in Markarth. She is a minor supporting ally during the Markarth Archives section of the story and has a role in a couple of vanilla quests, including the Book of Love quest where she defrosts a bit after being courted by the mage Calcelmo.

Any accent is acceptable; feel free to be as creative or generic as you want when deciding which to use. Tone should be blunt and professional. Speech is terse.

  • (resolute) Igmund's father was killed by Forsworn. I won't rest until they've paid with their blood.

  • (aggressive) Get to the museum! I'll cover you!

  • (hint of amusement) Here we are. The Archives. Do yourself a favor and don't look down.

Fultheim is, along with Esbern, one of the last living Blades in Skyrim. He is currently in hiding from the Thalmor at Nightgate Inn. He helps the player locate Sky Haven Temple, the ancient refuge of the Blades, and eventually settles in as the temple's blacksmith and merchant once the Blades have been reestablished. He starts out as a drunkard and a deserter, but eventually regains his dignity as a part of the new Blades.

Voice should be tired and grumpy, preferably with an American accent. Tone is irritable and bitter, but with a good person deep down. Speech should be slurred and blunt.

  • (irritated) Well, unless you're looking to buy me a mug of mead, I'm looking to keep my mouth shut.

Voice is deep and growling with an American accent. Must be able to pronounce dragon-language words. You do not need to tweak the audio to make it sound more like a dragon, I can take care of that on my end (but if you want to anyways, go ahead.)

  • (excited) Miraak has forced me to serve him for too long. Nahkriin saraan lingrah. Let us destroy him together.
