TES V: Skyrim Extended Cut
TizziQ for Miraak
Miraak is an ancient Dragon Priest who turned against his draconic masters and was punished for his insolence, escaping death only through the intervention of the Daedric Prince Hermaeus Mora. He is extremely ambitious, motivated and inventive, and much of his personal story arc revolves around accepting the consequences of his overreach thousands of years ago. The player seeks him out on Solstheim after discovering that he is the only living person who still knows the Dragonrend shout, but their efforts are held up by the priest's unexpected attempt to take over the island. Skyrim EC expands the scope of Miraak’s role in the plot, as he transitions from the main antagonist of the Solstheim arc to an unusual ally in the fight against Alduin over the course of the main questline. Voice actors should be prepared to deliver a varied performance ranging from smug villainy to contemplative discussion.
A fairly deep voice with an American accent is preferred, though a Nordic accent would be optimal if the acting quality is high enough. Must be able to pronounce dragon-language words. Tone is generally serious (though he does ham it up at times;) speech is terse, not too fast, and formal/antiquated, as if speaking English learned from reading Shakespeare.
(arrogant, taunting) Do you ever wonder if it hurts? Having one’s soul ripped out like that?
(with quiet determination) Do not fear for me, fahdon. Perhaps we will meet again in Sovngarde, if there is still hope that remains for my soul.
(exasperated) If I never see another book again, it will still be too soon.
