Alhana is a Nord adventurer first encountered in Bleak Falls Barrow on the same artifact recovery quest as the player. The two team up to retrieve the Dragonstone and eventually become friends. A lover of Nord history and legends, she accepted Farengar's request because she wants to study the ancient dragon language and learn to use the Voice, and wants to impress the Greybeards so that they will allow her to train with them. The player can teach her different Shouts over the course of the game. Eventually, the player learns more about her background, discovering that there's more to her story than initially believed. She is also involved in the rebuilding of the Blades and the Markarth section of the story. Alhana's personal quests, in conjunction with certain main quest decisions, determine the ending to her story (with a number of outcomes), and the large amount of focus placed on her character in the early and late game make her the most notable main quest NPC, similar to Delphine's "starring role" in the vanilla main quest. This character is a romance/marriage option.

As a Nord, an American or Nordic accent is ideal for this character, but you may use another accent if you believe it will fit the character well. Alhana is relatively young, but not without experience, and her voice actress should be able to portray a broad range of moods and emotions. Tone is confident and friendly; speech should be thoughtful and clear. Inspirations for the character include Eowyn from Lord of the Rings and Ciri from The Witcher III.
