Hello, everyone! This casting call is for Season 1 of "Septosan" an original audio drama written by Ronnie Morrissey. This is my first project ever placed on casting call to which I hope will have multiple seasons and be a fun and rewarding experience for all invovled! This project is currently FOR FUN as the team behind this consisting of 4 us are doing this out of passion and wanting to create something of our own. That being said if the series became profitable in any way this would rightfully be shared with Voice Actors, Artist, Music Composers, and additional Writers.
We are casting multiple roles for lead and supporting characters as well as looking for multiple extras to help fill in additional voices and characters as the series demands. NOTE: The episodes especially for main and support casting have many lines as episodes are expected to run between 45minutes to and 1 1/2 hours and will be given two weeks per an episode for recording these lines and are expected to update the Lead Team if there are going to be any delays. We get it, life happens to all of us and we want to be able to support you as a valued member of our team!
All roles are in the English language but lines may contain words or sentences from various other languages. The characters unless otherwise stated that we are looking for a preferred accent are open to interpretation of the auditioners. If you think you can provide a voice fitting the character but cannot perform the accent asked, you can still submit and will be considered especially if we think your voice is a good fit!
SEPTOSAN OVERVIEW
Septosan is a modern-fantasy drama that takes place in the fictional city of Septosan, in Wyoming. Septosan, is home to many mythical creatures and human hybrids that interact with each other every day. The story follows Ronan Gallo a young werewolf from the exiled Brennan Clan who originally resided in Ireland. His ancestors were exiled after they had sided with the Fomors during the Fomorian Invasion of Ireland and after Balor the leader of the Fomorians was killed the Brennan clan was exiled in disgrace and held great resentment to the Faoladh. Hundreds of years later the chance for vengeance for the Brennan Clan and the Cult of Argus named after Ronan's father has arrived with the news that Kathryn Aoife, the princess of the Faoladh has arrived in Septosan. The Cult sends Ronan Gallo to Septosan, tasked with one mission. End the princesses life at any cost.
AUDITIONS AND DEADLINE
The deadline for auditions is September 14, 2020 as the goal is to hopefully release the first episode on multiple platforms October, 2020. We are asking that auditions be sent in ABC FORMAT. Which means we would like you to do a take of all the lines in one voice before proceeding to use another voice/delivery. Maximum of 3 takes per a character but you can audition for multiple characters! PLEASE submit clean recordings free of any background noise. We also ask that you avoid putting any effects on your recordings beside basic noise reduction!

Future Queen of the Faoladh. She travels to America to study in Septosan because once she is done her education she is expected to return and lead over her people and will never be able to leave Ireland again. Kathryn is interested in Ronan from the very beginning as there are few werewolves who ever leave Ireland, which allows her to deduct a few possibilities why he is also in Septosan. Shes energetic and has an explorer's nature to her as she's has never left her village untill this year. This causes her to be somewhat foolish and almost too trusting while living in Septosan as she has experienced very few things. Medium to High vocal range.
[ Speaking to your best friend Amy Furukawa after seeing Cameron enter the Waning Spirit (Bar) with someone you've never seen before but immediatly realize is another werewolf.]
KATHRYN: Amy! Do you have any idea who that is?
AMY: You mean Cameron? Or that the guy who wears a hoodie when its 70 outside?
KATHRYN: The hoodie guy! I can pick up from here that he is a werewolf, but I’ve never seen him before. You don’t think my parents sent someone here to spy on me, do you?
[ Bumps into Cameron on purpose so that he spills his drink on himself and has to clean up leaving her alone with Ronan]
KATHRYN: Oops! Sorry about that Cameron.
CAMERON: Ugh, this is totally going to stain! I’ll be right back bro I’m going to try and wash this off before its too late..
KATHRYN: So yellow hoodie? What’s another werewolf doing in Septosan? Not many of us actually ever leave Ireland.
[Watching Amy getting hit on by Pierce for the millionth time while talking with with Cameron and Ronan]
RONAN: That guy is trying way too hard to get her attention.
KATHRYN: That’s right! You’ve never met Pierce before huh? He’s a cyclops with the hots for the ice queen herself. Unfortunately for him, he is so not her type.
CAMERON: I don’t even think its possible for her to have a type, let alone be with anyone..Ow! (Kathryn punches him on the shoulder)
KATHRYN: That’s my best friend your talking about! Watch your mouth mouse eater!
Snake Man. Cameron is Ronan’s direct roommate and one of the first people to learn of why he moved to Septosan, and who he actually is. Cameron often finds himself in dangerous situations trying to protect Ronan as he was also unable to make friends growing up because of how unique of a monster he was and becomes attached to him. Cameron is extremely distrustful of humans after monster hunters killed his parents. Cameron's is cocky and a bit of a loud mouth and tries to be the funny guy. We are looking for a medium to high voice for him.
[Opening the door to his apartment and recognizing Ronan as his new roommate]
CAMERON: Hey welcome to your new home buddy! I’m Cameron, but you already know that from the apartment listing! So, I have a few rules that we can go over later! Also, what kind of monster are you, just so I have heads up incase you do anything “weird”
RONAN: Okay, well I’m a –
CAMERON: (Interupting Ronan) Wait! Let me show you around town, and I’ll guess what you are while we're out!
[Messaging Amy to play a popular online game with him]
CAMERON: What’s up baby! You down to play some Community of Heros?
AMY: You know it! But if you call me baby again I will freeze you to death. Also, what is up with your new roommate? I didn’t know you were getting one so soon.
CAMERON: Oh Ronan? He’s cool so far! He went straight to his room after we got back and has been quiet since. Maybe he can play support for us if he games!
[Went with Ronan to meet with Jack, someone they found on the internet that has access to resources Ronan needs.}
CAMERON: I don’t know if we can trust this guy. He seems a little weird. I mean who carries around a satchel?
JACK: You know I can hear you right? Also what’s wrong with satchels?
CAMERON: First off, incredibly rude to interject yourself in a conversation you’re not in! See Ronan! This guy doesn’t even have basic manners!
Yuki Onna (Monster). Amy is Kathryns best friend who originally started off as pen pals with each other. They finally got to meet when they both went to Septosan. Amy is cold to people and distrustful of Ronan at the start as she believes that he is hiding things from Kathryn. Amy has Kathryns best interest in her heart but goes about the wrong way trying to be protective of her which creates a strain on their friendship. Looking for a medium to low voice for Amy.
[Frustrated that Kathryn is paying attention to someone else while they are hanging out]
AMY: Come on Kat, were supposed to be hanging out. You can go meet your new dog friend some other time.
KATHRYN: Come on Amy! You don’t understand how rare it is to see another werewolf outside of Ireland!
AMY: (Sarcastic) Oh your right! My bad. It’s totally not like I’m literally the only monster of my kind within 5,000 miles.
[Pulling Ronan by his hoodie after Kathryn had exited the bar]
AMY: (Aggressive) Let me make this clear to you dog boy. I don’t trust you and you won’t get your paws anywhere near Kathryn while I’m here.
RONAN: (Standing his ground) I’m not going to steal your best friend from you Amy. Relax, I'm a friend not a enemy!
AMY: Remind me of how it worked out for the three little pigs when they trusted a wolf? See you around dog boy.
[Hitting up Cameron to get food with her because she can't get a response back from Kathryn]
AMY: What’s up buddy! You want to go get some food at the food truck convention going on at the park?
CAMERON: Everyone’s going to that today! Ronan just left to go meet Kathryn. (Teasing Amy) I wonder if it’s a romantic rendezvous oo la la!
AMY: (Shocked) HES WHAT?!?! (Flustered) Why would you not tell me sooner Cameron! You know I don’t trust that guy with Kathryn! We gotta go!
Human Warlock. Jack is one of the smartest magic users to ever be born. One of the few humans that were not at least half of magical creature origin to break into Septosan and successfully stay there. Jack is interested in occult artifacts and demonology leading to him getting involved in some shady situations while he explores Septosan. Jack and Ronan become good friends after originally having a mutually assured destruction after investigating each other finding out each others secrets. Medium to low vocal range
[Meeting in secret with Ronan after gaining leverage over him]
JACK: My price has gone up.
RONAN: What? Why? We had agreed upon a rate for your services going forward!
JACK: (Smug) That was before I found out that I’m not working with just any werewolf, but one from the Brennan Clan. That’s a lot of a risk for me that needs to be accounted for in my payment.
[The main cast is sitting around in Ronan's and Camerons apartment, when Jack ask Kathryn a question that wasn't even closely related to the topic they were discussing]
JACK: Could I get a couple locks of your hair?
KATHRYN: Excuse me? Why do you want locks of my hair?
JACK: Werewolf hair can be used in some amazing potions! Come on, it will grow back!
[Jack and Cameron are breaking into a store late at night to get an artifact Ronan requested from Jack]
JACK: Hey man, I really appreciate you helping me out with this. I don’t have too many people who would be willing to break into an artifact store with me.
Cameron: No problem man! Us monsters gotta stick together. If your willing to commit a crime, I’ve got to assume whatever is in here is pretty important to you!
JACK: (Feeling guilty) Right man. Let’s get this over with.
Witch. Ex girlfriend of Ronan. Brooke originally grew up as a childhood friend of Ronan because their mothers were best friends and part of The Cult of Argus. They had a normal friendship growing up doing everything together and she was one of the few people who stuck by his side when other kids discovered his monster origins. After a while they started a relationship but upon Ronan graduating high school and choosing to leave Florida for Septosan in Wyoming he broke things off with her which cause her to have a breakdown. High to medium vocal range
[Texting Ronan, still upset over his decision to go to Septosan]
BROOKE: I hope your flight crashes! xoxo.
RONAN: Come on Brooke, that's not nice, there are a lot of innocent people this plane too!
BROOKE: Welp, that’s the price that has to be paid for you dumping me. I’ve already put a curse on the plane, see ya babe!
[Sitting in the kitchen of the Brennan's home complaining to Ronan's mom about Ronan.]
BROOKE: This is so unfair Miss Gallo! How could you just let him leave us!
LISA: Brooke he’s got an important mission from the Cult! I didn’t expect him to dump you, but there’s more fish in the sea!
BROOKE: You are not helping Lisa! You should tell him that he has to rethink dumping me as part of the “mission”. He’s such a jerk
[Muttering to herself while pouring ingredients into a cauldron]
BROOKE: (Showing signs of madness) Lets see! Some of Ronan’s hair! Oh, it’s still so soft! Then let’s put some snake fangs and maybe a dash of arsenic. Oops that’s all of the arsenic! Welp that should be a decent curse on Ronan for the time being! I wonder if he will text me after he realizes what I did (Giggles)
Mother of Ronan and wife of Argus Brennan. Borda (Monster). Lisa Gallo met Argus Brennan shortly after he had arrived in America and they lived together for hundreds of years before deciding to tie the knot and ended up having Ronan. Shortly before the birth of Ronan, Argus had disappeared to which she blames The Faoladh clan for his disappearance and has begun working with some shady organizations looking into what happen to Argus as she still believes that he is out there. Medium to low voice
[Couple days after arriving to Septosan, Lisa calls Ronan to check in on him]
LISA: How’s my baby boy! Is the murder mission going well? Have you found the target yet?
RONAN: Everything’s good mom. I uh haven’t found her yet but I’m on it!
LISA: That’s okay baby! I know you’ll be able to do it! You are Argus’s son after all!
[Speaking to The Gobfather via a magical mirror]
LISA: Maxxie! How are things love? You supporting my baby boy over there in Septosan?
THE GOBFATHER: Yes Miss Gallo, please stop calling me Maxxie. We’ve made contact with the boy and offered our services, but he denied them. So we’re just recon-
LISA: (interrupts) What do you mean he denied them? (Angry) I don’t care what he wants! Your job is to make sure he gets the job done or I will burn down every one of your little goblin hidey holes! Got it Maxxie?
[Looking at photos of her and Argus over the years, missing him deeply]
LISA: I still remember the day I saw you in that café. Looking so handsome and strong despite you not knowing any English yet. I wish you could have seen your boy, he’s just like you. So strong and confident in himself. He’s going to get vengeance for all the pain you went through.... {Malicious) I’m going to bring you back to this family even if I have to kill every last Faoladh member.
Goblin. The Gobfathers true name is known to very few people, one of them being Adam Cirillo. Leader of the globin mafia in Septosan, called La Goblahs. They are responsible for many of the crimes that happen in Septosan as while as control the news that gets around the city. Many newcomers are warned not to take any handouts or offers from any members of the Goblahs as safe as they might look, because once the gang gets there hooks in you, you belong to them. Low and gruff voice.
[First meeting between Ronan and The Gobfather after Ronan arrived in Septosan]
RONAN: So uh, are you Maxxie?
THE GOBFATHER: (Frustrated/Stumbling) Wha- You don’t call me that name! I don’t care who your mother is! I’m not gonna be disrespected by some pup who just learned how to walk on two legs! Do you know how many people have disappeared because of me? I will be respected pup!
RONAN: So we are not on a first name basis, got it.
GOBLIN: Boss, I’ve got some news about the she-wolf miss Gallo wanted taken care of!
THE GOBFATHER: This better be worth my time. I’ve got dinner reservations tonight with a nice hob-goblin girl.
GOBLIN: It is boss, Ronan is hanging out with the she-wolf and has known who she was this entire time. It doesn’t even look like he’s tried to kill her! They were eating breakfast together!
THE GOBFATHER: (Smug) While ain’t that some news! Look’s like mommy dearest doesn’t know everything about her little boy! Cancel my dinner reservations I’ve gotta make call to Miss Gallo!
[Talking to Lisa via a magical mirror]
LISA: Maxxie! How are things love? You supporting my baby boy over there in Septosan?

Waitress at The Waning Spirit and good friend of Cameron. Briana is a gorgon monster. She is Adam Cirillo's(Owner of The Waning Spirits) number one waitress. Shy and reserved at most time's and self concious over her looks. She works extremely hard to not let down Mr Cirillio. Voice we are looking for is between a High to Medium range.
[Greeting customers]
BRIANA: (Bright and Cheery) Welcome to The Waning Spirit! You can seat yourself in any of the available seating! Enjoy!
[Talking to Cameron and Ronan while they are seated at the bar]
CAMERON: So, when are you going to finally let me take you out?
BRIANA: Listen Cameron, just because we're both snake-based monsters doesn’t mean I want to date you. However (glances at Ronan) (Flirty) I’m open to some of the other people at the bar.
Cyclops. Pierce is a tough guy because of his size and strength and continues to hit on girls despite many of his advances failing. Pierce has actually never fought someone before so when someone takes him up on his challenge he will stutter and attempt to come up with excuses not to fight them. He is obsessed with Amy Furukawa to the point that he has tried to many different plans to get her to go on a date with him despite none of them working and usually ending up with him being frozen for a couple hours. Low voice.
[Cameron and Ronan are watching from across the street looking in the direction of Big Guy gym where Pierce is hitting on another gym goer.]
PIERCE: (Terrible flirting/awkward) Hey sweet thing! Me and you go somewhere huh? Real nice place, I’ve got money! Please hang out with me!
RANDOM GIRL: Uh I’m actually busy during then, so maybe another time. I’ve got to go. (Runs Off)
PIERCE: (Sad) I didn’t even get to give a time and she said she was already busy..
[Starts sprinting across the street through oncoming traffic after seeing Amy sitting outside a cafe with Kathryn]
PIERCE: (Shouting) AMY! I didn’t know you would be here! (still running through traffic) Let’s hang out!
AMY: (To Kathryn) Ugh, let’s get out of here, I have no interest in dealing with one eye today.
PIERCE: (Confused after arriving to the café and not seeing Amy) Huh, she must of not heard me!
Manticore. Madeline is a shy reserved girl who works in the Septosan Library. She is terrified of talking to people and goes out of her way to avoid confrontation. However, if people reach a certain point of being too loud in the library she becomes hyper aggressive and will chase the wrong doers until she has either catches them or they have vacated the premises. It is unknown how many but it has been confirmed she has sent many rowdy library goers to the Septosan Hospital ICU. High vocal range.
[Looks up from the front desk in the library and see's Cameron, Ronan, and Jack entering the library]
MADELINE: (Flustered) No Cameron-You can’t come in here anymore! Your too loud and you never put any of the books back!
CAMERON: Come on Maddy! My boy’s need some books so we have to-
MADELINE: (Aggressive Snap) I don’t care Cameron! They can come in, but you have to wait outside!
[Notices Jack is still hanging out at the front desk and makes eye contact with him]
JACK: (Awkard flirting) So uh, I like reading books too.
MADELINE: (Shy) Well um, that’s good that you came to a library, I guess? I’m sorry most people don’t talk to me unless their looking for a specific book or if their annoyances like Cameron.
I am looking for additional voice actors that can provide additional voices as well as play characters that are prominent in only one episode but end up having many lines. It is my hope I can cast 8 people that will be my go to for many minor and extra roles throughout each episode so I am looking for all kind of vocal ranges and accents. If for some reason one of the main cast members was unable to continue the project and there was an opening, this roster would be the first to have the opportunity to audition for the character. Feel free to play both characters in these scenes and adlib!
[Extra Scene One]
Person 1: Did you hear that there’s another werewolf in town?
Person 2: It’s like my gramps always said, “Never read a book in Spanish!”
Person 1: That has absolutely nothing to do with this conversation.
[Extra Scene Two]
Person 1: You wanna go to the Waning Spirit tonight? I heard it’s gonna be popping!
Person 2: Why is it popping? Is it firework night? Oh my god did I miss fourth of July? It’s my favorite holiday!
Person 1: I can neither confirm nor deny that it is firework night. But it is in fact March, still couple months to go until July!
[Extra Scene Three]
Person 1: That ice chick is low key kind of scary bruv.
Person 2: Naw dog, it’s high key. I saw her turn Pierce into a ice sculpture and that man didn’t melt for hours!
Person 1: Word?

The ideal music composer were looking for with this project is able to read through the script and compose fitting music for major scenes and background music for the episodes. They will be working alongside our in house audio editor for mixing and mastering to make sure that the vocals and music are balanced properly for each episode.

The artist will be provided references for all the characters that would be in a scene through our original artist.
