Just-- WOW!! Thank you everyone for your incredible wave of auditions for the main Mystery Family in this series! I've been writing the core " Bible " of the series & developing early iterations of the episodes as this call's been going on, & you guys' voices have TOTALLY helped on this journey of fleshing out the gang. You're honestly all incredible!!
While we wire down casting for the main Mystery squad, the incredible response has prompted the choice to unveil the 2nd Wave of characters in need of voices sooner than initially planned! You all will be able to audition again for the series' many Side Characters, Monsters & Minor Roles shortly!
A REMINDER that auditions for Shaggy, Scooby, Velma, Daphne & Freddy are still all due by April 10th. A new date for all the characters in Wave 2 is currently being decided upon! Thank you all so much again!

While she starts off skeptic, once the spooky lid on her reality is lifted, she uses her love for technology & fiery spirit to explore the dangerous depths nearly UNPHASED! She hides her insecurities & lack of social skills through pure wit & occasionally hot temper!

A coward, a wimp by most measure, but he loves a great mystery, & can often get wrapped up in a good True Crime documentary while binge-eating! On the field, Shaggy's always surprising folks with the seemingly endless number of useless skills ( as far as confronting ghouls are concerned ) He's the general goofball of the group with a knack for handing out good potential tips to calm the Mystery Family's nerves. He's an absolute meditation guru in training, but he struggles taking his own advice. Maybe he just needs to find his own special methods NOT found in a self-help book!

Freddy's a sweet-hearted charmer of a mystery-loving theatre kid with NOT many thoughts in his head beyond trap-building, being friendly & the paranormal. Fred entertains the possibilities of all things that bump in the night without question! Adults around him like to think he's joking, but Fred's nerdy passion stemmed from a young age without little change, no matter how many fun heated debates he & Velma've had. He's a Go-Getter with enough heart to glue this team together & keep everyone organized.

The people-person & honey-hearted daughter of a rich family of fashion designers, Daphne Blake loves her family, but knows her professional heart belongs elsewhere! She dreams about being a famous mystery/horror writer. INCREDIBLY trope savvy & uses her love of storytelling to brave into the unknown! The others are absolutely terrified of most things they come across on their monstrous mysteries. For Daphne, if the creature is humanoid enough, she's probably crushing on it. Daph's no slouch when her friends are in danger, thanks to loads of Self Defense training from her family, if you make a wrong move with her.... Well, I hope you can run faster than her.

He's TERRFIED of just about any & all kinds of ghoul & mystery imaginable, but he LOVES the teens. Having been on the run for most of his life with no discernable reason why or anyone to call family, Shaggy & the others faked being his owners just to get authorities off his back! While Scooby's often used as the test dummy for alot of Velma's inventions & often food-bombed into situations he'd rather not engage in, Scooby will fight tooth & nail to save his new family from any threat that comes at them. He's the bravest & most loyal of them all.

Taught goodness from her deceitful & disingenuous great uncles, the founders of Coolsville, her perception of justice is of a misguided but earnest desire to be a hero & live up to her family's *supposed* greatness. She takes her job immensely seriously & hates these kids so friggin' much. An aggressive, unstoppable & hilariously unshakeable force-- She's no cryptid, but her persistence & extremity scares the gang like nothing else!

( voice resembles Space Ghost from Coast to Coast ) Seemingly the PEAK, SHINING example of what a true mayor SHOULD be! A HERO by all measures! And yeah, he’s pretty good! Incredibly charming, works out a ton & tries to do what’s best for the people! He even runs his own local talk show with a few friends where he interviews members of the town with pride!
But he can definitely have a bit of an ego problem to him, & he’s often pretty quick to stomp out anything that he feels’ll make HIM or the town look bad. You can see how the Mystery Inc. Family are probably REALLY good at potentially doing both! IS he really a larger part of something more dangerous, or is he just a bit too airheaded for his own good?

Red & his squad run a prank channel where some pranks consist of scaring the daylights out of anyone with fake acts of paranormal activity. Ultimately, this has the inverse effect of making the gang’s mystery-solving & claims of real ghouls seem like a big joke. *They can also be seen getting thrown into jail pretty often.*
He'll stuff ya in a trash can & humiliate you in front of your peers, Red's you high school bully too insecure to confront his own feelings & problems. All he knows is he gets a kick outta making others seem smaller & framing his antics as a joke. But one does have to wonder if his obsession with Freddy & the Mystery Family specifically hints at any underlying level of admiration & jealousy.

The neat-freak goth girl who just wants to feel like she’s a part of something, despite not really liking Red & his tag-team of toxicity. Seen as another school weirdo, with her love of spiders, she gets stepped over ( metaphorically ) by whatever group she tries to take part in. When the mystery gang try to help her out ( Especially Velma & Daphne ) they get her to see what a truly healthy & loving friend group really is.
Humanity & cruelty are attached to the hip. So blind to the inconvenience they cause to the smallest beauties. Sometimes they torture just for fun! Insecta and Arachnida don't do that. They consume for survival. Never cruelty. They craft webs & colonies of their own fate. Families of equally smaller beauties. Free from human cruelty. I wish I could be like them. But instead, I'm trapped in this cacophony of meat & cartilage wrapped in a flesh sock.
