Welcome in! This is a planned fandub of the first episode of the anime The Invisible Man and His Soon-To-Be Wife!
Currently, this... really adorable romance anime, (I'm not usually a fan of romance anime but it's so damn cute, I won't lie), currently doesn't have an English Dub. This project seeks to give it one.
This show, quoting from Crunchyroll:
"Akira Tounome is an invisible gentleman who runs a detective agency, and Shizuka Yakou is a mild-mannered blind woman who works there. Shizuka can always find Akira, even when he turns completely invisible. Love begins to blossom between them as they grow closer to each other day by day."
Alongside some other co-workers and various people in this world, the show goes about the lives and relationships between them.
Now, to the important parts:
This fandub is starting from episode 1. The goal of this Fandub is to complete Episode 1. The goal is eventually to reach all the way to the end of season 1, at Episode 12. However. The goal is simply to get to the end of each episode. There could be a chance that, at any point, the project needs to stop due to real life responsibilities (as I am a full time college student). This project is a long term, slow burn, but low stress and casual environment.
Due to this, I'm only currently casting for the characters in Episode 1 (I'll be taking Akira Tonome, so apologies that he's not here), and anyone cast should be prepared to go for the long haul on this.
Extras should be prepared for this as well, as you'll be added to a list of the extras that we can assign to any given extra character.
We'll be casting episode 2 and beyond as we continue on with the project, so look forward to that!
For your auditions:
First thing: YOU MUST BE 18+ IN ORDER TO AUDITION FOR THIS PROJECT
This is not because the anime is inappropriate, simply for the comfort and safety of all cast and crew members, as we will be communicating through a project server on Discord. If you're under 18 by November 1st, 2026, you'll be turned away for now. Apologies.
For vocal auditions, they should be in AAABBBCCC or a similar format.

As another note: for each episode, we will be doing a live table read of the episode so I can understand vocal range, and how people want to tackle certain scenes.
Also, as a light thing, I'd highly recommend watching the first episode of the anime before auditioning!
Delivery of lines can be done either asynchronously or in live directing sessions. Please let me know in your audition if you'd prefer either or.
Also, if you're in this cast, do note that unless mentioned, you'll automatically be considered for other smaller "in house" castings I do, as well as considered for other small things I do on my Instagram and YouTube.

As a note guys, even if you don't get in this first round, remember that I'll be doing a casting call (although the time limit will be far shorter for those) for each individual episode (mostly because I don't want to leave anyone high and dry while they wait for the episode they're in), so be prepared for more characters if no one catches your eye in this batch!
Voice Actor
A blind woman who works at Tounome's detective agency. Soft, kind, sweet, and a very flusterable woman, she goes about life pretty simply, not necessarily taking much issue with being blind. She has heightened senses due to needing to navigate the world blind, so she's a very keen woman. She's a cautious but spacey spirit who's priority is others. She's gentle, sweet, kind, and overall just very floaty. Although she does tend to get nervous easily, she has a lot of heart and simply lives life. For vocal direction, she is in her 30's, so make sure to have a certain maturity to her voice, but still keep it light, slightly high, and sweet. However, like everyone else in this anime, she does have a lot of emotional range, so be prepared to show that off. In general, keep it light, and keep it guiding and sweet. As the MC, she does have a LOT of lines, so do be prepared for a heavy workload.

*gentle, assuring* Tonome-san! Your voice is usually so put-together, so it's easy to tell when you're embarrassed. Even now, you're trying to sound cheerful, but, the sounds of your glass and the rate you're drinking are all scrambled. I can tell you were really scared and sad. I'd miss you if you weren't there, though. I'd definitely look for you!
*wearing sunglasses, acting cool* With all the trees around, there's a good chance of taking a branch to the eye. This is how I prevent that.
Voice Actor
A bobcat beastwoman who works as an investigator at the detective agency. She's in charge of bodyguard services. She's a rough-and-tough woman who's really kind and sweet under all the muscle. She's incredibly supportive of anyone she wants to protect, but is pretty laid back for the most part. In terms of vocal direction, Luna has moments of doubt throughout the series, but in general is a relaxed, go with the flow type character. Although due to how she looks, do emphasize some power in her voice. Luna should be a gentle giant esque character.

*disheartened* No matter how much everyone else compliments me, it's not the kind of cute I want to be. The way I want to be is... So I'll probably never see myself as cute.
Voice Actor
A human investigator in charge of information gathering at the agency. A fairly stoic guy, who puts professionalism and practicality first above everything. He's a great cook and such, but beyond that, and his relationship with his boyfriend, there's not much more than what he shows. Daichi is a hard worker who simply wants to get things done. He's also eternally tired. He's a wall of virtue, but he does care for others, he just has his own ways of showing it. For vocal direction, he's a gruff wall. His voice should have humanity to it, but still have it be deep and a little gruff. Tiredness should also be in the voice as well, but do be prepared to show emotional range, like for all characters in the show.

Audio Engineer
To be blunt: this project does need someone to be able to either remove the original JP audio, or design the SFX and such for each episode from scratch. This project can't happen without you guys. We need people to mix vocal lines, and line the audio up with the video.

For this, we need a video editor in order to line up all the lines and takes, and, if possible, translate all the Japanese on screen text into English.
This one is more supplementary but it would be GREATLY appreciated. (Also, do let me know if you can do comic dubs, as for my own personal stuff, I do need help with all of that!)
