Rising of the Scumbag Hero

Project Overview

This is a new abridged series based off the hit anime Rising of the Shield Hero. The story will be similar to the original shield hero, but tweaked to make it funnier and interesting for people who have already seen the series!  My goal is to make at least the first season of the anime, although this will take a long amount of time to accomplish. If you'd like to join the project, apply today!

Ground Rules:

1. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 16 TO APPLY

2. IF YOU ARE PLAYING A MAJOR CHARACTER (e.g. Naofumi, Raphtalia, Filo, etc.) YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR MOST OF RECORDING SESSIONS

3. YOU MUST OWN A DECENT QUALITY MIC (BLUE SNOWBALL OR BETTER)

  • Casting Decisions will be made tonight!

    Me and few of my buddies will be casting the characters tonight! We will be announcing them once we make our decision, and we will invite everyone who applied into the new discord server to get everyone in one place. Raphtalia is probably gonna be the most difficult character to cast. Because of the way she ages throughout the story, her voice actor needs to be able to make a kid, tween, and teenage voice.

Other than that, she's very loyal to Naofumi, and is the only one who can stand Naofumi's antics. 

*THIS ROLE WILL BE MINOR UNTIL EPISODE 2, WHERE SHE WILL BE A SECOND MAIN CHARACTER*

  • (Kid) I will get revenge on that bitch who promised me my freedom!

Malty is going to be very similar to her original counterpart. The biggest difference between the show and my work is that she does not accuse Naofumi of sexual assault, rather she accuses him of other crimes. But she still has a manipulative personality.

  • But is it really safe for you to be drinking all that wine? This is your 10th drink in the past hour.

  • This little scumbag dragged me around town, set the town on fire, stole equipment from a shop and inspired a slave revolt!
