Odyssey of the Dragonborn Act 1 Central Characters Casting Call

Project Overview

What Is Odyssey Of The Dragonborn?

Odyssey Of The Dragonborn is a multi-part mod series for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which is a continuation of the story laid down in Legacy of the Dragonborn, a Skyrim DLC Sized Quest Mod which put the Dragonborn on a path to reforge the covenant with Akatosh and re-form the Amulet Of Kings.

Odyssey Of The Dragonborn will continue this epic storyline of prophecy and destiny by taking the player to various far-off locales across Tamriel in search of their ultimate destiny of seeing the wheel come full circle as the prophecy indicates. You will also find out the Thalmor’s ultimate goal is not only to take over the world but also to destroy it in order to attain their lost immortality. A plot is uncovered through the course of Odyssey’s acts which leads the player into a race to achieve goals and fight off the Thalmor.

This casting call is only casting for Central Characters to debut in Act 1. There will be separate casting calls for Central Characters to debut in later Acts and Universal Voice Types (EG: Old Nord Generic Male).

Requirements and Instructions For Auditioning Voice Actors:

We are currently looking for 18 years of age or older voice actresses and actors with at least an XLR mic, a demo reel, some form of reliable sound insulation, the willingness to learn how to use Trello if not already aware how to do so, the ability to work off of a spreadsheet, and the ability to do basic audio processing.

We request that all VAs who are interested are also able to communicate and send/receive files through Discord servers and DMs. Audio files would be uploaded to GDrive folders as they probably would be too big to send directly over Discord but the shareable links of said folders would usually be sent through Discord DMs.

If you do request to communicate with us through Email or other communication software, please send a private message to my profile on Casting Call Club and explain your situation. I will work with you via CCC Private Messaging to find a solution.

Also, many of these central characters are recurring characters. If you are auditioning for a Central Character, please do expect to be working on the project on an intermittent basis for the next 3-4 years (current goal for completing voice work for all acts). Certain Central Characters may be present throughout all acts while others may appear in Act 1 but not be called upon until 2 more Acts have passed. We’d like to provide the assurance that additional work for recurring central characters in subsequent Acts will not present situations where there are strange and unreasonable changes to the character or project, nor would present situations where past voice work needs to be redone due to new writing. Moreover, recording for Act 1 Central Characters won't start before casting and recording has finished for Act 1 Universal Voice Types.

For a further explanation behind the reasoning of the above paragraph and a general explanation of our project's casting process, please consult the following document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Uld9_KWc7CMD_Vg69hnthXbpHP-W2e0RNKK10fg9sdk/edit?usp=sharing

We realize this is much to ask of non-paid work, but we find that to wait until writing for all acts is done and then to engage in voice casting would be inefficient and not quite what we are comfortable with doing as a mod development team. Joining our mod project will be very much like working on a series where there’s clarity regarding what’s present for the first season (in our case that’s Act 1), but further Acts are somewhat in a state of flux.

Do note that you should ideally play Skyrim, Oblivion, and/or Morrowind in order to get a feel for the accent of each Skyrim race’s voice, as we won’t be providing a detailed explanation of the accent of each Skyrim race. Depending on the Elder Scrolls race of the role, we may expect a certain accent. For example, High Elves generally have an upper-class and snobbish English accent.

Some of the proper nouns and references that may pop up in the audition lines may require knowledge of the lore, characters, and stories of The Elder Scrolls universe in general, Skyrim, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Legacy of the Dragonborn. Pronunciation of these proper nouns and references can be found in an audio file that will be linked in the listings for the characters it applies to. You can attain this knowledge through either playing these games and/or mods and/or be reading over material on https://www.imperial-library.info/, watch lore videos such as those from ShoddyCast (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7pGJQV-jlzCPBUy9uAXQUXZ4UBaDLKS5) or the Skyrim Wiki (http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Skyrim).

Here are some resources regarding accents in Skyrim:

Nord: https://youtu.be/Tevzv7QsF7g?t=7

Imperial and Breton: https://youtu.be/gSq5o-FI5vY

(The first few Imperial soldier lines in the video should give you a good feeling of how Imperials and Bretons sound.)

Redguard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Pm0iTU2p3E

(A more Arabic sounding interpretation of how Redguards should sound like.)

Dunmer/Dark Elf: https://youtu.be/nCwNxz4IkU0?t=41 OR the Cockney Accent usually.

Bosmer/Wood Elf: https://youtu.be/KwI8S1W3jSE?t=71

Altmer/High Elf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80mGPSRA9N0 (Generally speaking, a Queen's English Accent will do for Altmer.)

Khajiit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mxx4Qf1-Xc

Orc: https://youtu.be/idkDj_MJLPA?t=2

Argonian: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4jW6SZt9C4 or https://youtu.be/hBIGrJGMc0k?t=205 for the Morrowind Style Argonian.

We also may recruit voice actors to voice other organisms such as Dragons and Daedra in the future. In only these instances, further details regarding the general sound of the voice of each organism as well as any required post-processing effects to be included in the audition will be provided on a case by case basis.

Dragons: https://youtu.be/XpgLDjLwego?t=3

Daedra: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdU4V3bNn-g

Please do read all the information provided for each character before auditioning. Aside from the basic information regarding the character, the character bio, audition lines, and direction notes, you will also find a tag for each role that specifies the Skyrim race of the character and any other specifications so you can know the general sound of that voice. Secondly, it is your responsibility to have that accent mastered and build your actual performance on top of that foundation.

You should record all 3 audition lines included for each character. For character listings that have less than 3 lines, you should record for every single audition line provided. For each audition line, you should submit 1 take. Be sure to follow the scene context and line instructions provided for the audition line. You should be recording through an audio recording software like Audacity or Adobe Audition. You should export and submit your audition as a .mp3 file (anywhere from 192 - 320 kbps). You do not need to limit yourself in the number of characters you audition for. In some cases, we go ahead and cast a voice actor for two or more roles if they're good enough.

Please do not apply filters or noticeable effects to your audition unless the character specifically specifies to do so. The post-processing you need to do to your audition audio for the majority of characters posted will be a removal of room tone/static, mouse clicks, and audio/vowel volume peaking. Any voice actors that that fail to do so noticeably will not be reviewed for their performance and be required to resubmit.

Once the casting deadline has been reached, we will no longer be accepting additional auditions and begin the audition review process. After a few days, our project lead, icecreamassassin, will make casting decisions for the Act 1 Central Characters. CCC will automatically send you a message if you get cast. Additionally, I will send a private message to your CCC profile containing information on how to join a discord server where voice acting for the Odyssey of the Dragonborn is managed. Please reply within a week of receiving that message or we may need to look into opening up the role once more due to no contact.

On Discord, you will be communicating with me (@ACTIONFIGHTER11#2791), VA Director of the project, via DMs or the Odyssey of the Dragonborn’s VA Discord Server's public chat. Once we have established communication on Discord, you will receive your lines and access to the team's Trello board within a week through discord along with recording instructions, deadline, accent specifications, character bios, and line directions. I will be present to assist with any further direction or inquiries.

Final Message For Auditioning Voice Actors:

For those that audition and don’t make the cut, don’t lose heart as there are more central characters to be up for grabs on casting calls for later Acts as well as the casting calls for Universal Voice Types.

Best of luck! I look forward to hearing your great auditions!

Latest Updates

  • Subsequent Casting Calls for Act 1 are up!

Hello, here is the first round of casting for Universal Voice Types for Act 1 of Odyssey of the Dragonborn. There will be additional rounds of UVT casting in the future. Please do read over all the information in the About Project section on the CCC listing. There are 14 UVTs in total. The deadline is April 11th, 2021 (2 weeks from now). https://www.castingcall.club/projects/odyssey-of-the-dragonborn-act-1-universal-voice-types-casting-call-round-1 In addition, after a bit of a review of written content, we felt two characters that originally were going to be included in the UVT line up would do well to have their own unique voice types. They will be recurring characters throughout the Acts as well so can be treated as Central Characters. We have thus decided to run a separate casting call for them at the same time. https://www.castingcall.club/projects/odyssey-of-the-dragonborn-act-1-unique-voice-types-casting-call You are free to audition for both or just one casting call. If you are able to produce different enough-sounding voices, we could end up casting you for both a UVT from this round and one of these add-on characters. Moreover, as casting for these two add on characters would finish a week before (April 4th, 2021) the UVT Round 1 casting call, it is doable for auditionees to decide to audition for the add on casting call only first, and then depending on the results, decide to audition once again within the following week for the UVT Round 1 casting call. Best of luck!
  • Casting Decisions Made for Odyssey of the Dragonborn Act 1 Central Characters Casting Call!

We've come to a final casting decision regarding the Odyssey of the Dragonborn Act 1 Central Characters Casting Call. * Medora Direnni- Julia at JMS Voices * Vorian Direnni- AllenAndrews * Cygrona Direnni- FussBudgetJr * Admiral Tullus Hostillus- AllenAndrews * Captain Renauld- Kyo Sija * Torasa Aram- RenaraHawke * Magister Haron- Daniel Hodge * Justiciar Orano- MeekVoice * Moath- OnlyHalfTheTime * Nahfahlaar- Daniel Hodge We'd like to thank all auditionees for submitting their auditions. For those who weren't cast, please do audition once more for the project when we launch our first round of Universal Voice Type casting in the next few days. The next casting call will also be advertised in the updates section of this casting call to help anyone interested in auditioning once more keep track of the project. You can also follow my CCC account to get updates on the next Odyssey of the Dragonborn casting call as well.
  • Deadline Approaching Fast!

This is just a reminder that at 11:59 PM PST on 3/21/2021 (today), we will be formally closing this casting call from further audition submissions as we would have reached the deadline.
  • Adjustment to Audition File Format (ALREADY SUBMITTED AUDITIONS WON'T BE AFFECTED MUCH BY THIS DURING CASTING DECISIONMAKING)

It's been brought to our attention that audio submitted to CCC as .wav would be converted to 128kbps mp3 in preview playback of audio files on the CCC page. To avoid the decrease of quality in preview playback on CCC, future audition submissions for the current and future casting calls should be exported and uploaded as .mp3 (anywhere from 192 - 320 kbps) format. This information will be reflected in an update on the casting call itself as well. Also, for anyone who has submitted audio before this announcement, we'll be doing an audio quality assessment of all auditions regardless after the deadline has been reached and can refer to the original uncompressed file uploaded which can be referred to through downloading the audition audio instead of listening to the in browser preview.

Medora Direnni (Altmer)

Unpaid
Role assigned to: Julia at JMS Voices

Medora Direnni, former consort and court sorceress to King Lysandus of Daggerfall and long-standing leader of the Direnni clan; she is around 300 years old. Medora is dry-humored, shrewd, and a strong leader who has made it her life's work to promote and preserve the sovereignty of the Direnni clan, despite the efforts of foreign powers such as the Thalmor. She is quite well versed in international affairs and is noted throughout the world as one of the foremost diplomats. Her treaties and trade deals have aided to ensure that the Direnni clan has the means to preserve its stake at Adamantia Tower. She delegates the regional and local affairs to the charge of Vorian Direnni preferring to focus on international and clan-centered affairs. She has no interest in advancing the holdings of the Direnni clan, choosing to instead consolidate and strengthen their hold on the archipelago and to use diplomacy and trade to advance their interests abroad. She is quick to quell any imperialistic ideals within her clan, very firmly reinforcing the idea that expansion is not an option and nearly brought about their demise after the fall of their empire in ages past. A Queen's English Accent would do.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, Tyris, the ambassador of the Thalmor, is trying to convince you yet again to have the Direnni clan become closer to the Thalmor for mutual benefit. It doesn't help that in the present moment, Balfiera is facing quite a few local crises. You hope this is the last time you need to tell him off.

For the second audition line, the Dragonborn is asking you to explain the Adamantia Tower in detail. You diplomatically evade the question as you are far too busy at the present moment.

  • Let me tell you something now Tyris, once and for all. Under no circumstances, under no reversal of fortune shall the Direnni clan of Balfiera EVER join the Dominion or swear fealty to the Thalmor, am I clear?

  • I'm afraid that's a complex question with a long and complex answer which I don't have the time to do proper service to with my response. It's a tower, the first of its kind which helps to reinforce the very stability of our world. The scholars and resources in the archives can tell you more.

Vorian Direnni (Altmer)

Role assigned to: allenandrews

Vorian, author of De Rerum Dirennis and the oldest living member of the Direnni clan is a highly accomplished historian, alchemist, and enchanter; he is around 800 years old. He is in charge of overseeing all affairs of the island complex's domestic concerns while Medora handles international concerns and internal clan affairs. Vorian has seen a lot of and been through harrowing world events which have tempered his personality and perspective. He is sharp-minded and serious which creates a contrast to Auryen's more curious and energetic tone and outlook. Vorian is not grim per se but he knows that there is always another layer to consider and hence is well guarded against rash choices. This does not however mean that he doesn't have a good sense of humor beneath it all, he just doesn't tend to show it beyond an amused smirk or chuckle. Even in anger, Vorian tends to be endlessly diplomatic. A Queen's English Accent would do.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, the Dragonborn is inquiring about Medora, the leader of the Direnni Clan, and her relation to King Lysandus, Queen Mynisera, and Nulfagga, Lysandus' mother. It is quite an interesting piece of court drama that you could get into explaining. Medora doesn't find it herself considering it's been so long and the rumors have already long been spread into the public.

For the second audition line, Governor Juliar, who does the day-to-day managing of all of Balfiera, has come to Vorian seeking wisdom on how to deal with several crises afflicting the island. Considering the postition Juliar signed up for, he should be much more independent but your diplomatic nature smooths over your impatience.

  • It was rumored that their relationship ran much deeper than a garden variety noble affair, however, and it greatly angered his wife Mynisera. The prevailing theory is that after Lysandus’ death, Mynisera approached Nulfaga about getting revenge on Medora for the affair, somehow twisting in Nulfaga’s mind that Medora had something to do with the death of Lysandus, which couldn’t have been further from the truth. Nonetheless, Nulfaga executed a curse that turned Direnni tower into a prison. Medora was cast out of the Daggerfall court and returned here to Balfiera where she became trapped.

  • I'm afraid I haven't the time to go into things in more depth, given the plight of our situation. Take it upon yourself Juliar to take charge of the matter yourself by whatever means you see fit. I have full confidence in your abilities.

Role assigned to: Fussbudgetjr

Cygrona is the high marshal in charge of the Direnni guard; the army of the Direnni clan. She is also the personal retainer and bodyguard to Medora Direnni, the leader of the Direnni Clan, herself. As a leader, Cygrona is highly disciplined and has a very strong personality. She is fiercely loyal to the clan and a trusted confidant to both Vorian and Medora. She usually commands her forces from inside the safety of Adamantia in order to protect clan leadership but does mobilize with her forces when the situation is severe. Though somewhat guarded and professional, she can open up in more relaxed situations. A Queen's English accent would do. She is in her late 30s, but certainly still spry and energetic.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, you have received orders to arrest Magister Haron, the former ruler of the town of Blackhead, after evidence was uncovered, showing him having dealings with a crime ring. There is no room for negotiation, should be stated loudly.

For the second audition line, word has reached you that the Dragonborn has joined the Direnni Clan. You still feel confident in maintaining your status as the toughest of the Direnni Guard though, despite the Dragonborn's accomplishments. You're being playful and smug with this line.

For the third audition line, you're being asked how long you've held the title of clan champion. This is both a surprising review of memory lane and a casual conversation.

  • Magister Haron. By order of Medora Direnni, sovereign of the isles, you are hereby placed under arrest pending a tribunal at Direnni tower and the town of Blackhead will be placed under the stewardship of clan Direnni once more and overseen by administrator Lauric. A full investigation will be made to unearth your many dealings here and we shall remain to maintain order. Citizens, go about your daily business and bring any concerns to representative Lauric, who is now the acting Magister of Blackhead until such time these affairs have been resolved.

  • Well it seems that the clan has a new prospective member aiming for the designation of clan champion. I'll have to watch my back.

  • Oh… hmmm. I don't rightly know it's been so long if I'm being totally honest. If I had to wager a guess I would say since a few decades before the Oblivion Crisis, so maybe 250 years? My word time does slip doesn't it?

Torasa Aram (Dunmer)

Role assigned to: Renara Hawke

The former Dark Elf curator of the Mournhold museum in Morrowind; she is around 400 years old. She has long been an academic associate and friend to Auryen Morellus (a famed relic collector and friend of the Dragonborn) and has found herself a new home as the chief archivist at the Adamantia Tower. During the sacking of Mournhold, she attempted to protect most of the relics in her care and smuggle them out of the province but was largely unsuccessful, having to use them to barter safe passage in a number of instances. She has great regrets about the loss of her homeland but knows that it was not within her power to protect. Torasa also is one of the very few remaining practitioners of pure Mysticism which was subverted by the mages guild and many elements of the school were absorbed into other schools such as illusion and alteration. A cockney accent would do.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, you are explaining to the Dragonborn some mysticism magic you are using to uncover some hidden text on an ancient scroll stored in the Archives. You always like going over your craft.

For the second audition line, you are defending the Archives from Daedra when the rift to Mehrunes Dagon's plane of Oblivion is opened. This should be yelled out while slightly out of breath from continuous fighting. The artifacts stored in these Archives hold generations of wisdom; they must be defended at all cost.

  • It would seem to be a fleeting glimpse at something greater hidden within, but I assure you, it only SEEMS that way. With but a little effort one can peel back the veil of concealment that guards the truth within. Be ever so careful however as a bold misstep can bring about calamity to that which you seek to uncover, take care lest the veil collapse upon it… and the secret is revealed.

  • Dragonborn! Thank Azura! You must do something about these Daedra, I'm no warrior and it's all I can do to put these fires out before they damage the archives! The others are protecting the Elder Scroll, so please, do something!

Admiral Tullus Hostillus (Imperial)

Role assigned to: allenandrews

Rear Admiral of the Imperial Navy and Regent Governor of the major port city of Gallomarket in Balfiera. Tullus is a fair-minded and honest man, but his long-term deployment to what generally amounts to a desk job has made him amenable to bending the rules on occasion. He is a creative thinker and not a complete servant to the military system, though he does do his job well and uphold order in Gallomarket. Gallomarket is imperial territory granted by the Direnni treaty established after the rise of Titus Mede I.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, the nearby town of Upvale has been destroyed by a dragon, and Brello, a Gallomarket merchant, is imploring you to send aid despite this going against orders. You will stand firm with the commands given to you though. For added context, Blackhead's magister, Haron, is quite difficult to negotiate with and is a bit shady in his dealings, to say the least.

For the second audition line, the Dragonborn who helped you with dealing with the situation in Upvale has come back to your office with an unusual request from the most senior member of the Direnni clan and overseer of domestic affairs on Balfiera. You don't like the Thalmor and this seems official enough to go along with; no one will complain.

  • I understand the situation Mister Brello, but I have strict orders not to interfere with matters outside these walls. Besides which the Imperial Marines simply do not have the manpower to deal with a disaster of this magnitude. If we were to deploy our forces to Upvale, which is already lost, Gallomarket would be left undefended and should anything happen to this city, Blackhead would be the only viable port left and none of us want to deal with Haron.

  • What is it? I'm busy and only addressing official business right now… huh? A letter from Vorian? (sigh), I suppose that qualifies as official. (reading letter) Let's see… hmmm, do something to disrupt the Cele Mairae (Sell-A My Ray, a ship) so it has to dock farther away from the Thalmor Embassy? Why in the world would we need to do that? Well I suppose it doesn't matter either way, anything to mess with the Thalmor right? Haha. Sure, you can let him know I'll make arrangements for the port manifest to have a "mistake" and make them dock on the other side of the harbor. But if it comes back to bite you, I don't know anything about it, alright?

Captain Renauld (Breton)

Role assigned to: Savy Des-Etages

Renauld is a Breton in the employ of the Breton Guard of Balfiera (local guard that patrols most of the island of Balfiera). The guard answers to the local governor, Juliar who in turn answers to the Direnni clan. Renauld is in charge of a unit deployed to the Gallomarket watchtower which serves much like an embassy in imperial territory. They guard the lands outside the walls of Gallomarket which is still Direnni land and have no jurisdiction inside the city; its technically sovereign imperial territory. Renauld is horribly bored with her placement which she sees as little more than being a babysitter to the small farms outside Gallomarket. She gets frustrated with the Imperials and their autonomy and would much more prefer the duties of maintaining order in Gallomarket to be shared. She is in her early 30s, although she is showing no signs of getting old or weak.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, you have assembled some of your guards for preparing to carry out a rescue mission on the local town of Upvale which has been destroyed by a dragon. This is both a standard mission brief and also a bit of a gloat since the Admiral had previously stated he didn't see a need to send Imperial soldiers to help with the rescue mission. Yelled out.

For the second audition line, the Dragonborn approaches you, asking about the specifics of the rescue mission. Even though this will be incredibly dangerous, you're quite used to the Bretonguard being thrown into the pan quite haphazardly.

For the third audition line, the rescue mission was by large a success despite the loss of a few soldiers. You believe that to subject everyone to pure mourning would not be as respectful to the dead as celebrating the accomplishments of them when they were living. Yelled out.

  • Alright you lot, listen up! I just got this note here, says something's finally gonna be done about the dragon and the "Lord High Admiral" (friendly mockery) is humbly requesting our assistance. I'll have a list of who's going within the hour. Our new friend here has fought dragons before, so pay attention when they speak. As you were.

  • Dispatch says to brief you, guess the admiral didn't tell you the plan (sigh), figures. Right, so we'll be leaving just before dawn. Using the cover of darkness we'll make land on the beach just outside the town. Then we hold position until it's light enough to safely navigate the ruins. If we're lucky the dragon likes to sleep in. See you on the ship.

  • Shut up you rabble! … Now Raise your mugs and toast to Sergeant Barto! He bravely gave his life in order to save the lives of others. Hazzah! (drinks) and let that be the last drink of mourning, and every other one that follows this night be one aimed at getting us all drunk!

Role assigned to: MeekVoice

Orano is a typical Thalmor Justiciar, arrogant, manipulative, and with a superiority complex. He's foreboding enough to make the Dragonborn think initially that he's someone important but he turns out to be just another middle manager for the Thalmor with aspirations that exceed his post. A Queen's English accent would do. He is in his early 30s, still full of energy for career and social advancement.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, you are having a secret meeting with Aureyn Morellus, a relic collector who you have dirt on, at the Winking Skeever, a tavern in Solitude, as your meetings with Aureyn keep getting eavesdropped at the Dragonborn Gallery. Not only do you not like being in such a dirty place, but you've also been kept waiting for quite some time by Aureyn. "Morellus" should be annunciated as "More-El-Us".

For the second audition line, you are still having the aforementioned meeting, which has devolved into trading insults. The window you are referring to is a stained glass portrait of Talos that Aureyn had installed at the Dragonborn Gallery (a museum), which is not only illegal but also a challenge of Thalmor authority.

  • Oh, you finally decided to show up. I was starting to fear that I might actually have to order something in this… tavern. 'Winking skeever'. Apt name indeed. Have you come to your senses then Morellus, or do we continue our little dance for another round?

  • We wouldn't even be here if you hadn't installed that blasphemous window. Don't even start on "historical significance". As for what I want: keep that damned thing covered and deliver the items on this list to me at the embassy.

Role assigned to: DanielHodgeVA

A veteran of the great war and former captain of the guard to a small barony in High Rock. Returning from the war to find his liege deceased and his services no longer needed by the new lord, he took up the life of a mercenary, with the core of his company made up of his fellow men-at-arms. He HATES the Thalmor and generally dislikes all elves. After his brother, the previous Magister of the town of Blackhead, died suddenly, he took over as leader of Blackhead and installed his personal mercenary company as the town guard under the label "the Blackguard". Blackhead does not allow elves inside the town and after the destruction of the nearby town known as Upvale, the Direnni Clan who still technically own the town, order Haron to open the port to all which causes great strife.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, the Dragonborn presents evidence proving that you run a crime ring, much to your annoyance and embarrassment. You had previously told your guards to hide this carefully.

for the second audition line, one of your guards found and pocketed evidence proving you led a crime ring on the Dragonborn after searching him/her, much to your delight. The last sentence should be delivered in a mocking tone.

For the third audition line, the Dragonborn makes a deal with you to get in on your criminal operations after discovering evidence of your crime ring. You are both intrigued and surprised at the corrupted nature of the Dragonborn. This will allow you to keep doing business as usual and eventually provide an opportunity to double-cross the Dragonborn.

  • I knew it, I knew it was you who made off with them. (Turns to Assistant) You stupid bastard. I told you to stop leaving that out all the time! (Turns to Guard) And you! You moron, did you seriously not search him before hanging him up to dry? I have half a mind to stick you up there on the wall in his place!

  • It seems you were in possession of something of mine. So a spy and a thief. What would your parents say?

  • Well, well. Blackmail is it? I didn't think you had it in you. Very well then, if it will keep you and the Direnni off my back and let me go on with business as usual, I'll cut you in in some way. Be ready, I'll send notice when I have something for you, and I assure you, you will find it quite interesting.

The lord of the Xivilai, a type of Daedra. Moath has been in the service of a number of Daedric princes over the millennia. Currently, he is in the employ of Mehrunes Dagon and is in charge of guarding the great sigil which keeps a rift above Adamantia tower open in the "fire in the sky" quest, which allows Mehrunes Dagon to send Daedra through to attack Balfiera. After being confronted by the Dragonborn, Moath ends up in the employ of him/her for a short time until a better offer comes along. Moath is very powerful and cunning and will be making many appearances throughout the Odyssey series as he hops around from daedric lord to daedric lord. No need to apply post-processing to the audition audio of this character.

For the first audition line, you are giving a proud defiant statement when the Dragonborn confronts you.

For the second audition line, the Dragonborn states that he/she will defeat you. This is quite amusing but you are ready for battle. Yelled out at the end.

For the third audition line, the Dragonborn has defeated you but you do not feel this should be the end of your journey. To submit to a mortal is quite humiliating but you must be calculating and flexible here.

  • Your efforts are futile, mortal. The sigil is protected and the gate will forever stand.

  • We shall see. To the death then mortal!

  • Dagon will not stand for my betrayal, but he also will not stand for my failure in defeating you, So either way I lose. I’ll break the barrier here around the stone and will come to aid in breaking the barrier keeping you from the foundation vault in your world.

spare my life and accept me as a servant. Dagon will surely destroy me unless you become my master and free me from this realm.

The red dragon of the battle of hoon-ding bay and ally to Tiber Septim himself. Nahfahlaar, long thought dead at the hand of Cyrus the Redguard, was apparently raised back to life by Alduin. Nahfahlaar is fiercely independent and immediately went back to his former aims of allying himself with mortals for the sake of his own benefit, instead of helping Alduin. Nahfahlaar has made a pact with a yet unknown force and attacks the city of Upvale, rendering it to ashes within the course of 2 days when the player first arrives in the Bay. The player confronts and either destroys, threatens, or convinces him to leave and never return.

For the first audition line, you are explaining to the Dragonborn why you destroyed Upvale. You still demand an answer regarding the public display of the Dragon bones though as it's the equivalent of someone defiling a grave of a loved one and leaving it for public viewing. Yelled out from the dragon shout onwards.

For the second audition line, the Dragonborn is reasoning with you that you shouldn't have lost your temper when one should know humans and mer only see dragon tongue as shouting that destroys buildings rather than as arguments to reply to. His/her words not only make sense but also make you feel ashamed for your immature and irresponsible actions. You think carefully about your words here. When you refer to speech/Tinvaak being rejected, you are referring to the people of Upvale refusing to explain the dragon bones up for public display.

  • Mmm...there was something in my skies I had not seen before, of course, I would investigate. When I saw the bones of a Dovah...(furiously) Ruth Strun Bah! (Rage Storm Wrath, Angry Dragon Tongue Swearing basically) It is you who should explain! Even the Akavir who hunted us relentlessly let our bones rest! What is the meaning of such a display?!

  • Words once spoken can never be retrieved. This is especially true for we dov. Yol(fire), we may create it but we do not control it. In hindsight, I should have chosen my words more carefully. The rejection of Tinvaak (speech) was... offensive. I forgot myself.
