Unpaid
Role assigned to: Savy Des-Etages

Renauld is a Breton in the employ of the Breton Guard of Balfiera (local guard that patrols most of the island of Balfiera). The guard answers to the local governor, Juliar who in turn answers to the Direnni clan. Renauld is in charge of a unit deployed to the Gallomarket watchtower which serves much like an embassy in imperial territory. They guard the lands outside the walls of Gallomarket which is still Direnni land and have no jurisdiction inside the city; its technically sovereign imperial territory. Renauld is horribly bored with her placement which she sees as little more than being a babysitter to the small farms outside Gallomarket. She gets frustrated with the Imperials and their autonomy and would much more prefer the duties of maintaining order in Gallomarket to be shared. She is in her early 30s, although she is showing no signs of getting old or weak.

Record all audition lines while referring to the notes below for each line and do one take of each line.

For the first audition line, you have assembled some of your guards for preparing to carry out a rescue mission on the local town of Upvale which has been destroyed by a dragon. This is both a standard mission brief and also a bit of a gloat since the Admiral had previously stated he didn't see a need to send Imperial soldiers to help with the rescue mission. Yelled out.

For the second audition line, the Dragonborn approaches you, asking about the specifics of the rescue mission. Even though this will be incredibly dangerous, you're quite used to the Bretonguard being thrown into the pan quite haphazardly.

For the third audition line, the rescue mission was by large a success despite the loss of a few soldiers. You believe that to subject everyone to pure mourning would not be as respectful to the dead as celebrating the accomplishments of them when they were living. Yelled out.

  • Alright you lot, listen up! I just got this note here, says something's finally gonna be done about the dragon and the "Lord High Admiral" (friendly mockery) is humbly requesting our assistance. I'll have a list of who's going within the hour. Our new friend here has fought dragons before, so pay attention when they speak. As you were.

  • Dispatch says to brief you, guess the admiral didn't tell you the plan (sigh), figures. Right, so we'll be leaving just before dawn. Using the cover of darkness we'll make land on the beach just outside the town. Then we hold position until it's light enough to safely navigate the ruins. If we're lucky the dragon likes to sleep in. See you on the ship.

  • Shut up you rabble! … Now Raise your mugs and toast to Sergeant Barto! He bravely gave his life in order to save the lives of others. Hazzah! (drinks) and let that be the last drink of mourning, and every other one that follows this night be one aimed at getting us all drunk!

I liked the very assertive tone you gave to Renauld. Only note would be that the yelling and energy sounded a bit restrained and, as you mentioned, definitely did sound like you blew out your mic at the "Huzzah".

Thank you! My home studio, though professionally equipped, is rather small, so sometimes I have to get creative when trying to figure out how to deliver lines that are required to be louder so that I don't blow out the mic. Hence why Cygrona also probably sounded a bit more reserved. I'll happily give it another go for both, if you would like.

Feel free to do so, provided it's before the deadline.

Excellent. Or, to quote a certain Skyrim literary work, "Plenty of time, my sweet. Plenty of time." ;)
