Project Overview

We are ready to begin production of episodes 2-5. And with that comes the requirement of a new cast of brave space explorers, pirates, engineers, and a few extras now and again! 

Nautilus is a science fiction audio drama about a group of explorers and their adventures in the Pinwheel Galaxy, an unexplored no-mans-land filled with ancient ruins, nasty pirates, and a ton of colorful characters!

Currently we have the scripts for episodes 1-5 written and we have produced episode one already (link above) and we plan to continue producing and writing as time goes on. 

The time frame for this project is aiming to have the production (All currently written episodes) completely assembled by mid 2018 at the latest. There will be an expectation of slightly quick turnaround once you've been casted. 

Additionally, we have a discord wherein you will be able to communicate with the rest of the cast and crew and make any inquiries about the project to its creators.

Microphone quality is GREATLY appreciated in this case as we're aiming for a high production value and hoping to later down the line have this project turned into an animated series to accompany the audio only release.

  • Casting is nearly complete! Why not stay a while?

    First off, a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who auditioned! We've had some FANTASTIC voices grace our audition page and frankly we're flattered you'd take the time to put your voices to our little passion project! As of right now I've casted most of the roles, the only one uncasted meaning I have a bit more deliberation to do before me and my cowriter come to a conclusive choice. In the meantime I would like to invite EVERYONE who has auditioned or is interested in the project to follow the progress in our discord chat, we usually post things like sneak peaks and we talk about casting calls in there as well. Harmee was a genetic experiment who was experimented on for most of her life  and has only known freedom for the past three years. she joined the crew a year ago and finds peace in their company.


She is quiet and reserved, her cadence is very proper, however, when she is comfortable she is more energetic and bubbly.

If you can do accents try a variety.

She will be around for quite a bit in this series, in fact most of the first season is about her, so long term commitment will be required.

There are going to be two engineers that are repairing the Nautilus while it is at a maintenance depot. They're kinda jerks and they're kinda stupid. Not much else to say about them really.

Chimil is the one of the many "Pinwheelnaughts" of the cosmos, he's a man of many years, having been on several expeditions into the deep unknown, and has managed to make a name for himself in the collecting of artifacts department. He has a robotic servant, Claus, who assists him and stays with him on his own planet CHIMIL-1. 


Chimil is a very important character in the story and will be around frequently during his time in the show. Please be flexible with commitment to the show.

  • (Demanding/Reassuring, sounding youngish)Do not worry citizen. The criminal has been apprehended. You can feel free to go back to your settlement now.

  • (Slight Excitement, talking very fast, sounds older)Well, it’s a bit of an outer rim world. But that’s one the Collective hasn’t put on the record. So I figure there’s some very pretty artifacts in there. But naturally with off-record worlds you know the drill.

Claus is the Automiton servant of Chimil, he is over 700 years old and was reconstructed from bits and pieces found laying around.

He won't be around in as many episodes as Chimil, but he's great.

Xie is the new/current Engineer for the Histrani, she's a 120 year old Xel'Capian who is just kinda along for the ride. She doesn't want to hurt anyone, and she really doesn't want to be involved with anything that the rest of her crew often pushes her to do.
