Myths and Mortals - Fortnite Short Films for FortShorts
Project Overview
Hello,
We create short films set in the Fortnite game universe. Our content is rated PG13 and presented in episodes. We aim to make the game's complex story fun and easy to follow.
Key Considerations you must know before auditioning:
You don't need to have any knowledge of Fortnite to audition.
You'll need a good microphone and quiet recording space.
Meeting deadlines is important. We usually give 3-5 days to do your lines.
While you're not bound by a contract, we hope you'll commit to finishing your role once you start.
Scripts are around 10-20 pages max, but characters usually have 2-5 minutes of screen time depending on importance.
We'll credit you in the video description with your preferred name and social media links. And if requested, a recommendation on CCC.
Our Seasons match Fortnite's seasons, which last about 80 days. We release around 5-10 videos per season.
If you enjoy working with us and the final product, we'd love it if you consider auditioning for more roles in the future. This helps us a lot!
Having a Discord account is helpful but not mandatory. We use it for easy communication, but we can also use other methods.

Supporting Role
In Greek mythology, the Oracle refers to several prophetic priestesses or figures who served as mouthpieces for the gods, providing insights and predictions about the future. The most famous oracle was the Oracle of Delphi, dedicated to the god Apollo. People from all over the ancient world would seek the Oracle's guidance on important matters, believing her words to be divinely inspired. The Oracle's pronouncements often influenced major decisions, from personal matters to state affairs, making her a significant and respected figure in ancient Greece. In our story she will do the same, keeping our protagonists up to date with insights and predictions about the future.

Lead Role (Main antagonist)
Zeus is the king of the gods in Greek mythology, known for his power, authority, and often for his unpredictable nature. He is the ruler of Mount Olympus and the god of the sky, lightning, and thunder. Recent events in our story has led all gods to be free from Pandora's box causing them to reclaim the mortal land for their rule. Zeus in our story hates the mortals with a passion and wishes for their down fall. He will show you no mercy if you challenge him.
Voice: Deep, gruff, old, powerful with lots of anger.

Supporting Role
Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and desire. She is often depicted as a beautiful woman, radiating charm and grace. Aphrodite is known for her romantic entanglements and her ability to inspire love and passion in others. She is a powerful and influential figure in Greek mythology, often portrayed as both a symbol of love's beauty and its sometimes tumultuous nature. In our story, unlike Zeus who wants the mortals gone, she loves the humans and wishes they are protected from his wrath. Trying to convince Zeus from causing mass genocide isn't gonna be easy. As a funny little twist she also love social media and acts a little like an influencer.
Voice: Medium-high, elegant, fun, seductive, with hints of teen influencer energy

(Concerned) My father is not one to change his mind. Trying to convince him to stop will surely end with your life.
Lead role (Semi-Antagonist)
Hades is the Greek god of the underworld and the ruler of the dead. He is often depicted as a stern and regal figure sitting on a throne. Hades is responsible for overseeing the souls of the dead and ensuring that they are judged and assigned to their appropriate afterlife. Despite his grim duties, Hades is not inherently evil; he is simply fulfilling his role in the Greek pantheon.

(Menacing) Foolish mortals! You dare to challenge the might of Hades, ruler of the underworld? Prepare to face the consequences of your defiance! Your soul is mine! *striking effort*
Supporting Role
Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt, wilderness, and wild animals. She is often depicted as a woman carrying a bow and arrows, accompanied by a stag or other wild creatures. Artemis is fiercely independent and is known for her strong sense of justice. In our story, she enjoys using the weapons of today like guns. Preferably using a sniper, she enjoys the thrill of the hunt playing with her pray. While she may be deadly, she is against Zeus' plans to eliminate the mortals.
Voice: medium rage, strong, stern, charismatic.

(Resolute) To those who would harm the innocent or desecrate the earth, know this: My aim is strong, and my wrath is swift.
While I do enjoy a good hunt, what my father has plans for these mortals goes against everything that makes hunting fun.
Supporting Role
Poseidon is the Greek god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses. He is often depicted as a powerful figure with a beard, holding a trident, and surrounded by sea creatures. Poseidon is known for his temperamental nature, which can cause both calm seas and destructive storms. In our story, Poseidon's appearance has undergone a peculiar transformation due to his long confinement in Pandora's Box. Now, he resembles a gelatinous form, akin to the island's unique beverage. Despite his former reputation as a fearsome tyrant, his time in isolation has inspired a change of heart. He now embodies a laid-back, surfer-dude persona, eager to forge a new, amicable relationship with mortals. While he exudes a party-friendly demeanor, he harbors a stern warning: any harm inflicted upon the ocean or its inhabitants may suffer a swift retribution. Can be really pretentious about himself, entitled.
Voice: Deep, Strong, friendly, stoic, chill, has a lisp.

(Furious) "You dare disrupt the peace of the ocean and its inhabitants! Prepare to face the wrath of Poseidon, as my waves crash upon you and drag you beneath the depths! For I am the flood, the fisherman's bite!!
Supporting Role
Medusa is a figure from Greek mythology, known for her hair of living, venomous snakes and a gaze that could turn people to stone. She was originally a beautiful maiden, but after being cursed by Athena for a romantic encounter with Poseidon in Athena's temple, her appearance transformed into a monstrous one. Medusa is often portrayed as a tragic figure, cursed by her beauty and transformed into a monster, ultimately meeting her demise at the hands of the hero Perseus. In our story she is well alive and is not in favor of the gods at all. Though due to her curse she has become quite careful with whom she interacts with. She holds internal barriers around her and purposely comes off as scary or dangerous.
Voice: Medium to Low, stern, dangerous, little scary, wise. ("dommy mommy" energy)

(Menacing) Behold my gaze, mortals, and tremble! Those who meet my eyes shall be turned to stone!
(somber) My beauty was my undoing, cursed by the jealous gods. Now, I am but a monster.
The gods have harmed many. I seek to put a stop to it. You carry great potential in you, mortal. We are much the same.
Supporting Role (Antagonist)
Ares is the Greek god of war, known for his fierce and violent nature. He is often depicted as a strong and muscular warrior, wearing armor and carrying a spear or sword. Ares is considered to be a disruptive and destabilizing force, often favoring war and conflict over peace. He is sometimes portrayed as impulsive and hot-headed, contrasting with the more strategic and disciplined approach of other gods like Athena. In our story, he sides with Zeus to eliminate human kind.
Voice: Strong, authoritative, hot headed.
