Medusa is a figure from Greek mythology, known for her hair of living, venomous snakes and a gaze that could turn people to stone. She was originally a beautiful maiden, but after being cursed by Athena for a romantic encounter with Poseidon in Athena's temple, her appearance transformed into a monstrous one. Medusa is often portrayed as a tragic figure, cursed by her beauty and transformed into a monster, ultimately meeting her demise at the hands of the hero Perseus. In our story she is well alive and is not in favor of the gods at all. Though due to her curse she has become quite careful with whom she interacts with. She holds internal barriers around her and purposely comes off as scary or dangerous.
