(Animated) Minecraft Movie 3 Cinematic Project

Project Overview

We are building something that has never been done in Minecraft content before...

A fully cinematic movie series with original characters, anime inspired fight sequences, custom VFX, and a story with real emotional weight and a season long mythology. Not a one off video. A universe.

The Salt channel has built a dedicated audience that shows up for every video, and this movie is the biggest thing we have ever made. Before you read any further, feel free to take a look at our most recent video on the channel (it's not the same that's attached to the projected).

Pay attention to the animated scenes and the comments. That will tell you everything you need to know about what we are building and the audience we have built.

We are looking for voice actors who take their craft seriously and want to be part of something that actually matters to its audience.

If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you :)

CEO

The CEO runs Forge Corp, the operation controlling this world's mining and forge access. He's a businessman through and through, polished, rich-sounding, charismatic in public. He puts on a warm, reassuring act for the players and the crowd, think a corporate spokesperson smoothing over bad press, but there's something colder underneath, and it slips through in small moments. Looking for a voice that can sell "trustworthy leader" on the surface while letting a controlled, calculating edge peek through when he's not performing for a crowd.

Reference: Speedwagon

Audition lines:

  1. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am the CEO of the Forge Corp."

  2. "Nothing to see here folks, it was just a crazy miner who got lost down in the caves. There's no lost treasure, the Forge Crown is just a fun little folktale, nothing more."

  3. "If you see any other crazy miners talking about lost treasure, be sure to tell a Forge Corp member and we'll take care of it."

Malice, Queen of the Spiders

Malice, an adult woman, cold and bitter, and the first boss antagonist of the story. Once an explorer herself before being betrayed and left for dead by her own crew, she now rules over the spiders who "saved" her. Looking for a voice that can shift between calm menace and real wounded anger, in control and superior on the surface, but letting genuine bitterness crack through when she talks about being abandoned. A villain who earns a flicker of sympathy without ever losing her edge.

Audition lines:

  1. "Well well well, are you the hero?"

  2. "I was once an explorer like you three. I once had dreams of my own. And then they abandoned me."

  3. "You all think you're heroes. You're coming into our caves, stealing our ore, killing our friends. For what? Treasure? He was no hero, and neither are you."

Guard

Background authority figure. Not menacing, not friendly, just doing the job. Delivers information flatly, reacts to unusual situations with mild suspicion rather than alarm. Occasional dry humor completely by accident. One guard also has a brief moment of genuine unease when questioning Vector's orders.

Note for VA: This role covers multiple guard characters across the episode. Minor pitch or tone adjustments between characters is fine but not required.

Voice reference: Any bureaucratic background authority. Think the guards in Avatar, present, functional, occasionally funny without meaning to be.

NOTE: This voice will typically be deepened (pitch change) in post if the editing team sees the fit.

Audition lines:

  1. (flat, routine) "Whatever it was, it sounded like a dying ghast. You don't happen to have a Ghast Soul do you?"

  2. (uneasy, quiet) "I don't know what it is, but it can't be good if it's below the epic level."

  3. (suspicious, clocking something wrong) "Did that player just throw out his Mob Soul? That's not possible. You can't just throw out a soul — the only way you can lose one is by death or if the forge takes it."

The warm veteran who's been around longer than anyone. Treats Salt like a real person when nobody else does. Easygoing, dry humor, slightly self-deprecating. Carries secrets nobody knows about. His warmth is real, his gravity is rare, and that contrast is everything.

The role needs two gears:
Casual scenes: warm, unhurried, gently funny
Battle/serious scenes: quiet first, then explosive when he finally lets go

Voice references:

  • Iroh (Avatar) — primary reference, warm and wise with devastating emotional range

  • Uncle Ben (Spider-Man 2002) — mentor energy, weight without melodrama

  • Whitebeard (One Piece) — battle scenes, old but overwhelming power

Audition lines:

  1. (normal, warm) "Come on! I'm not even that old yet!" (beat) "I'm 68."

  2. (serious, tone shift) "Salt. Listen to me closely. The trajectory of your life has changed. You are no longer an ordinary player. With great power comes great responsibility."

  3. (screaming, battle) "WITHER SKELETON SOUL! DEATHS EDGE!"

Vector's lead enforcer. Doesn't waste words, doesn't monologue, doesn't threaten, he just arrives and ends things. Cold, efficient, completely unbothered.

The scariest thing about him isn't his power, it's how little he seems to care about using it. Every line lands like a verdict being handed down.

Vibe: Gabriel from ULTRAKILL. Divine, cold, slam poetry delivery. Short punchy sentences with weight and silence between them. Not loud for the sake of loud, loud when it means something.

The role needs:
Cold/calm for regular lines, explosive for move announcements. If you have access to any vocal effects that fit the character feel free to include them in your audition, not required but appreciated.

Voice references:

  • Gabriel (ULTRAKILL) — primary reference, cold divinity energy

  • Meruem (HxH) — complete indifference to the people in front of him

  • Younger Toguro (YYH) — quiet menace that erupts when needed

Audition lines:

  1. (cold, arrival) "So it is true. You do have more than 1 mob soul. Unfortunately, this world wasn't made for players like you."

  2. (dismissive) "Don’t even try it. An uncommon zombie soul vs my epic piglin brute soul? Spoiler, kid, you won’t win this fight."

  3. (explosive, battle) Rook: Multiple souls.. But are you sure you’re the same person I fought years ago? (screaming) YOU'RE GOING SENILE OLD MAN. LETS SETTLE THIS. (beat) I’LL SHOW YOU DIVINE JUSTICE. (beat) IS THIS WHAT I LOST TO? FINAL RUIN–

Overconfident cave explorer who bit off more than he could chew. Friendly but dismissive toward Salt, genuinely believes he has everything under control right up until he doesn't. Comedy comes from the gap between his confidence and his actual situation.

Voice reference: Any cocky side character who dies mid-speech. Think Zeff's crew members in One Piece — big personality, short runtime.

Audition lines:

  1. (confident, dismissive) "So if you think there's a world where I let you take the drops from this boss, you've lost your mind. This guy is all mine."

  2. (reassuring himself) "Nah I've got this! I didn't come this far to die to a common level BOSS!"

Petty opportunist who punches down because he can. Not a real villain, just someone comfortable taking advantage of people with less than him. Relaxed and self-satisfied delivery — he's not angry, he's enjoying it. The kind of person who smiles while being awful.

Voice reference: Any smug minor antagonist. Think Buggy the Clown energy without the drama — someone who thinks they're more important than they are.

Audition lines:

  1. (smug, casual) "Who do you think they'll believe? A soulless player like you or a Zombie Soul wielder like me."

  2. (unbothered) "Thanks, I'll probably feed this to my dog later."

  3. (dismissive, walking away) "I missed the part where that's my problem."
