An audiobook/fandub passion project based on the (as of this year, 2019) the most popular Mario/Sonic crossover fanfiction story originally written by Azurixx over on www.fanfiction.net. The story was first published on July 8, 2010 and was completed on August 27, 2013 over a span of three years and with 100 completed chapters to its credit.
The blue hedgehog is the world's fastest thing alive. Sonic is known to never back down and likes to take a challenge. He likes to annoy his nemesis, Dr. Eggman by destroying his plans. He likes to pass time by running a lot. He likes to go wherever the wind takes him. Sonic is a fifteen-year-old teenage hedgehog who loves adventure, excitement, and is a fun-loving guy. His young energetic voice also matches his free-spirited and cocky personality. He can also get stubborn at times and can be very impatient on some occasions here and there, but he does show to have a very big heart and he cares very well for the safety and loyalty of his best friends.

The young fox is one of Sonic's best friends. He is a big mechanical genius, having made lots of inventions and gadgets that have help on their numerous adventures. Unlike most foxes, he possesses two tails, which he can use to fly. Tails is 8-years-old and his voice is high-pitched, but he stills sounds like a very young boy around his age. He also sounds quite intelligent for a kid his age.
I've changed a lot since I started hanging out with Sonic, but I can't depend on him forever. I know I can do this by myself!
Well, we were at my house, watching the news, and one of the reports caught our attention. It seems Eggman is causing havoc in the city's park!
Sonic's preparing for the Light Attack. It can take out multiple enemies at once. This will surely take out Eggman's Egg Hornet!
The red echidna is the strong, somewhat high-tempered, friend of Sonic. At first, he and the hedgehog were rivals, but after realizing his past mistakes, Knuckles become one of Sonic's most trustworthy partners and friend. Knuckles is the protector of the Master Emerald that lies on Angel Island, and will do anything to keep it from harm's way. Knuckles is 16-years-old, with a naturally deep rough voice to match his appearance.
I'll probably be on this floating island forever, guarding the Master Emerald again. I may not know the whole story behind this, but perhaps it's better that way.
Long time, no see, Sonic! I can't believe I found you here! Where are Tails and Amy?
(angry) WHAT?! What did you just say about my hair?! Why, I ought to pound you into a knuckle sandwich!!!
The pink hedgehog is a kind and sweet person. She has a bit of the tomboyish attitude. At times, she can easily become angered. She has a great fighting spirit and never gives up hope. Amy has shown to have a big crush on Sonic, causing the blue hedgehog to be nervous at times. Her voice is normally young, bright, and cheerful whenever she's usually happy. Of course, her voice can go through a range of mood swings whenever she feels certain mixtures of sadness, anger, nervous, etc. When she gets very angry and crazy simultaneously, her voice devolves into a low growl and raspy tone to her voice when she gets very short-tempered. And then, her voice goes back to normal as if nothing even happened in the first place.
If I had to choose between the world and Sonic, I would choose Sonic!
Sonic! Please be careful! (pleading) For me?
(swooning) Oh, Sonic! That was really heroic of you!
An evil doctor who has an IQ of 300. Dr. Eggman is a really smart scientist who has invented millions of machines and badniks. On occasion, he likes to have a bite every once in a while. He has tried to take over the world, but Sonic and his friends always seem to foil his plans. His voice has a very guttural, yet highly academically menacing tone to it, therefore, despite how his entire appearance may seem quite ridiculous to look at, he's still has a very intimidating quality to him that can allow anybody to tell that there is a lot more to Dr. Eggman than meets the eye.
Citizens of Earth, lend me your ears and listen to me very carefully! My name is Dr. Eggman- the world's greatest scientist, and soon to be the world's greatest ruler. Now witness the beginning of the greatest empire of all time!

Mario is a famous, renown hero in the Mushroom Kingdom. He has thwarted Bowser's evil plans countless times. He is the hero that has tons of courage inside of him and always know what to do. He is famous for his super high jumping abilities.
(triumphant) It's-a me, Mario!
(angry/demanding) Bowser! You must stop this, right now!
(casual) We should get back to the castle now, shouldn't we?
The younger brother of Mario. Luigi is a bit of a coward at times and is easily frightened, but he can be brave at times when he has to. His running and jumping skills are slightly better than his older brother.
(triumphant) I'm-a Luigi, number-a one-a!
(scared) Eek! No one told me there would be gh-gh-ghosts here! I wish I'd brought my Poltergust 3000 with me....
(excited) Hey Mario! You're back! And you're rescued the Princess too!
The princess and ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach is a polite and caring person. She has been kidnapped by Bowser countless times, but the Mario Bros have always come to her rescue. She deeply respects everyone and everything.
(formal) Why, hello! My name is Princess Toadstool. But, please, just refer to me as Princess Peach!
(concerned) Um, excuse me, sir, but are you okay? Is there anything I can do to help you in your situation?
(distraught) I can't believe I got kidnapped...again. (Sighs)
The green dinosaur has gone on numerous adventures with the Mario Bros. Yoshi is really loyal and trustworthy. He can hover in the air by doing his trademark Flutter Jump. He is really curious and is always thinks happy. Yoshi tends to have a big appetite most of the time. His voice tends to be very high-pitched and super hyperactive. Of course, you're free to experiment his voice by watching the Super Mario World cartoon, how he sounds in the video games, or come up with your own take on the voice, whatever option suits you better.
(happy) Hi there! My name is Yoshi! What's your name, stranger?
(eager) I know! We should team up! Come on! Don't be shy, just hop on my back!
(prideful) In my village, they've told about a great hero from long ago, who saved a baby that fell out of the sky. He helped that baby rescue his brother and return them to their parents. That story has inspired me to help others when they're in trouble.
This mighty brute is the king of the Koopa Troop. Bowser is a mean turtle who has supreme strength and has the ability to breathe flames. He has been trying to take over the Mushroom Kingdom for quite some time now, but his plans always get thwarted by the Mario Bros.
(evil laugh) (mocking) Well, well, well! Super Mario! Welcome to my dungeon! Or, in this case, your new permanent home!!! (another evil laugh)
(determined) Hear me! I will kidnap Peach OVER and OVER until I pull it off! And no one can stop me! Losing is not an option! And neither is giving up!
(shocked & stuttering) Wha...How..You...But...(gets VERY furious)...GAAAAAHH! THAT'S NOT FAIR! I HAD THE UPPER HAND! HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!? I'M KING BOWSER KOOPA! I CANNOT ALLOW LOSING LIKE THIS!!! That's it, Mario! I'm going to ANNIHILATE YOU! You're going to regret beating me for the past 20 years!
The adviser of Princess Peach. Toadsworth is the oldest, yet wisest of the Toads. He takes great action into help keeping the castle organized. He shows much care to Princess Peach.
(anxious) Master Mario! Master Luigi! You must save Princess Peach!!!
(worried) Princess? Does something concern you...?
(very eager) Oh, TALLY-HO! A spectacular achievement for something like this definitely calls for a scrumptious feast right here at the castle! Does that sound delightful with you, Princess and Masters Mario and Luigi?
A young rabbit who is very polite to everyone and never forgets her manners. She is really friendly and tries to be close to everyone she meets. Cream possesses the ability to fly with her ears. She lives with her mother, Vanilla, outside Emerald Town. She has a pet named Cheese, who wears a distinct red bowtie. Cream loves to go out adventuring, especially with Amy Rose, who she shares a sister-like relationship with.
(happy/energetic) Mr. Sonic! I'm so glad you decided to stop by for a visit! Oh! And you brought Mr. Tails along with you! Hooray, more company makes the world go rounder! Please, come inside!
(scared) No! Please! Leave me alone, Mr. Eggman! I don't want to be turned into a robot, you big mean bully! Oh, Mr. Sonic, wherever you are, hurry up and please save me!
(eager) Ooooohh! Is it a surprise? I always love surprises!
A purple cat who has the ability of pyrokinesis: control fire. Blaze is from an alternate dimension of Sonic's. At first, she was usually anti-social, timid and shy, and never really knew how to talk to people, until Sonic and Cream taught her to trust others. Blaze possesses royal manners, and is able to handle things on her own at times. She is the guardian of both the Sol Emeralds and Jeweled Scepter.
(reserved) I am the guardian of the Sol Emeralds... (somber) It is a fate that forces me to live with my curse, my flames... Because of my powers, I have always been alone... (determined) It's also why I must do this alone! It is my responsibility!
(strained tone) Well...I was walking through the area...I could not familiarize my surroundings...so I easily got lost...I came up to this lake area when I saw something in the waters...something shiny. (groans in pain) I picked up the shining object...it happened to be one of the seven Chaos Emeralds...
(angry) Do not simply judge me like that! And furthermore, I do not take too kindly to that raising tone of yours! You will not treat the Princess of the Sol Emeralds with such disrespect or you will be punished for your insolence! (calms down) Now, please say sorry for your intolerable behavior and I'll accept your apology, for now.
A hedgehog who proclaims he is the "ultimate life-form". Shadow is an experiment of Gerald Robotnik, and because of this, he is immortal and never ages. He is usually soft-spoken and reserved, until you anger him. He is seen as a counterpart as Sonic, as he is as fast and powerful as the blue hedgehog, which has created a sort of rivalry between them. Shadow is able to use the power of the Chaos Emeralds with ease.
(stubborn) My name is Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog! The Ultimate Life Form!
(determined) If the world chooses to become my enemy...I will fight like I always have!
(confused) That blue hedgehog like me...what did the doctor say about my memory...and just who am I?
A strong-minded, fearless jewel thief, who wants all the treasure of the world to herself. Rouge is independent, ambitious, a big flirt and sometimes greedy. She is a powerful fighter who can deliver strong blows with her kicks. Rouge is a part-time government spy who works for G.U.N. She never holds back with her attractiveness and likes to seduce people to get what she wants.
(seductive) My name is Rouge the Bat, at your service. I can handle just about any mission you've got for me, as long as it involves beautiful jewels for me to keep!
(seductive/friendly) My, my! Hello there, Big Blue! Off on a run this early in the morning? Nice to see you too, Tails. (flirtatious) (gasps) Why, hello to you as well, Knuckie! Did you miss little ol' me that fast? My, you truly do care for me after all, you darling knucklehead, you!
(angry/greedy) I despise anyone who takes jewels from me...All the world's gems are mine to keep!
A white-furred hedgehog with the psychokinetic abilities. Silver came from the future and uses the ability to travel through time stops problems that cause problematic events in his time. He has a strong sense of justice, but can be immature and naive at times. He is fairly good friends with Sonic and the other heroes.
(determined) I'm going to change the future with my own hands!
(Determined) No! I won't give up. There has to be a way. If you say it exists in the past, present, and future, I'll destroy it all at once!
(in awe) I finally found him...the Iblis Trigger.
A robot doppelganger of Sonic the Hedgehog, created by none other than Dr. Eggman. Metal Sonic can do all the abilities the real Sonic can do, plus an extra few robot attacks. He convinces himself that he is the real Sonic and plans to destroy Sonic the Hedgehog himself in order to prove it. Metal Sonic was the shadow figure all along, and he and Junior have formed some sort of secret alliance.
(monotone/evil) Sonic...I was created for the sole purpose of destroying you.
(monotone) All life form data...successfully copied.
(lively/cocky) I am the true Sonic, Faker! You don't stand a chance!
A well known scientist in the Mushroom Kingdom, E. Gadd has made lots of inventions for the Mario Bros. In his younger years, he has studied upon ghosts and Boos. Recently, he has upgraded his small lab shack into a big invention garage.
(annoyed) I'm getting too old for this ghost-catching tomfoolery...
(friendly) Anyway, nice to meet you. I'm Professor E. Gadd.
(proud) Well done, Luigi my boy! This time, I have a special bit of information for you! Ghosts other than Boos will not appear in the direction you're looking, so you'll have to sneak up on 'em backward...but I bet you knew that already, heh!
The happy and upbeat girl Toad. She is good friends with Mario and the gang. Unlike regular Toads, Toadette's attire compromises mostly of pink. She is an avid musician and has gotten the opportunity to conduct the orchestra at Flower Concert Hall in Mushroom City every night.
(determined) You need me! I won't take no for an answer!
(giggles) (bubbly) Hi! My name is Toadette! Welcome to the Mushroom Kingdom! There's so much tourist locations you must visit! You've gotta go to the Toad Town mall! I bet they have a pair of dresses you'll really like!
(annoyed) Hey, what's the deal?! What did you do to my hotel? It looks like a corkscrew now! Nobody wants to vacation in a corkscrew
The tomboy-ish princess and ruler of Sarasaland. Daisy is always full of energy, which fits well with her cheerful nature towards others. She and Princess Peach are almost like sisters. Daisy owns her own resort and cruiser, allowing her to have fun parties with her friends.
(flamboyant) When it comes to beauty, there's no denying Daisy is fairest of all! There's no need to battle.
(challenging) What's up? I'm new, but golf is my thing! And I'll go toe-to-toe to prove it!
(sarcastic) “Yeah, sure. Big castle. Woooo. I’m totally impressed. Could use a few more flowers though.”
An outgoing and strong gorilla, who likes to swing on vines and loves to eat bananas. Donkey Kong is an ape that will help out anyone in need. He wears his famous red tie with his initials printed on it.
(distressed) My bananas and my buddy, Diddy Kong, they are gone! (determined/angry) The Kremlings will pay! I'll hunt them down through every corner of my island, until I have every last banana from my hoard back!
(instructing) Ok, little buddy, as part of your hero training, you've got to stand guard tonight over my bananas... I'll relieve you at midnight, so try and stay awake until then!
Hey Inka! Ring-a-ding-ding. It's me, DK, the future ruler of Kongo Bongo. We got business to discuss.
A nimble, quick and out-going monkey. Diddy Kong is the close buddy and nephew to Donkey Kong. Just like his uncle, Diddy Kong loves swinging on trees and eating loads of bananas. He always carries a backpack wherever he goes, which secretly holds a jet-pack in case of danger.
(heroic/triumphant) I am the brave Diddy Kong! Show yourself, if you are friendly. If not, then get ready for the fight of your life!
(in disbelief) After all we did to get them back last time? Donkey Kong would go crazy if he lost his bananas again!
(exhausted) Boy, I never thought I'd lose like that! That's what I get for thinking you were small bananas. Heckuva match, though. Thanks!
A greedy, obese, yet muscular plumber who likes stealing valuables from anyone and anywhere. There are only two things Wario cares about: treasures and himself. Not many people appreciate Wario for his devious acts. Even though he only cares about himself, he has been able to commit acts of heroism. His greatest rival is none other than Mario.
NOTE: Despite the fact that Italian American is described for the accent, I would prefer also adding a touch of a gruff Manhattan/Brooklynese accent in there, similar to how Charles Martinet's voice for Wario sounds in the video games.
(selfish) So admit it..... Don't I look cool in the game screens? Those long, muscular legs on my sturdy toned frame.... I'm the perfect specimen of a man ..... (gets offended) What!?!? You say I look fat and my quadruple chin looks like a waterfall of flab? Shut up! That's just because you have your television set up on widescreen display!
(cocky) I'm-a Wario! I'm-a gonna win!

A twisted and sinister plumber. Waluigi seems overconfident about himself and enjoys putting others below him. His best friend is Wario, who is like a brother to him. He can be seen as the polar opposite to Luigi, just like Wario is to Mario. Of course, he and Luigi have an on-going rivalry. Oh, and Waluigi seems to be strongly associated with bombs.
Hey! You might be getting better, but nobody cheats better than Waluigi! You got that?!

The calm, ninja assassin, member of the Team Chaotix Detective Agency. There, he works together with Vector the Crocodile and Charmy Bee to solve whatever cases they are given, where he puts his skills to good use. While initially a hothead when introduced, Espio has since become a calm, soft-spoken, serious, and disciplined person whose wariness and soulful character makes him a vital member of his team, and balances out the foolishness of his friends.

(calm) Have patience, Charmy. (changes tone to uncharacteristically snarky) I'm sure if we wait long enough, Vector will soon realize how to have fun in his life.

The youngest, most annoying member who always pulls off childish antics. While Charmy is always hyperactive, bee-brained, loud, immature and often gets on his teammates' nerves, both Vector and Espio still treat Charmy as their equal for the team.

The youngest son of Bowser and apparently his most favorite. Bowser Jr, or Junior for short, enjoys wrecking havoc to others and holds hatred towards the Mario bros. as much as his dad. Although he is mean, he still acts like a child, always wanting to go out and have some fun. He seems to be working with the shadow figure in secret!
Someday...when I'm bigger... I wanna fight that Mario again!

A flirtatious and kind birdo. Catherine is apparently the "special one" of Yoshi. She hangs a lot with Princess Daisy at her resort and is also good friends with Toadette and Peach. She is a unique from her species, as her voice sounds high-pitched, unlike the usual lower pitch horn-like sounds.
Clearly this is a test for me. Yes, the powers-that-be want me to go out on my own. Once I overcome many hardships, I shall be one step closer to super-stardom!

A red, spherical robot minion loyal to Dr. Eggman. Orbot is supposed to be a helpful servant to the doctor, but he ends up pointing out the flaws in Dr. Eggman's plans and make fun of him for his mistakes. Orbot is calm-speaking and respectful, most of the time.
From where I'm sitting, it is a nightmare....who thought that putting this bucket-brain's head onto me was a good idea?

The devious and most frightening leader of the Boo clan. King Boo has been haunting the heroes for quite some time now. The ghost loves haunted mansions and gets a pleasure at scaring someone, especially with Luigi, who he seems to have a long-term rivalry with.
