Project Overview

STORY: The story is currently of three main characters, Opal, Breeze, and Oli. They are roomates living in a future society set in 3460, they have a pet Jackelope named Mr. President and it's mostly about them living their life.  Each episode has its own mini plot that gives hand to an overarching story. Episodes 1-3 are already written or at least in a mostly final draft. 

PAYMENT: If this idea becomes fully fleshed out I intend to put it on Youtube, if it does well there then the profits off the videos will be used to pay everyone. If it does poorly I will do my best to pay the cast and crew, pricing will vary on what I can swing (I’m 17 working part time btw)

COMMUNICATION: You must have discord, no exceptions. I like to have calls with crew before I let them on to let them know expectations and allow for questions. 

I intend for this project to last a while so be ready for that, I hope we will all have mostly our own timelines and I really want this to be fun. I swear I'm not strict as hell. 

VOICE ACTORS: Once the show is a little bit developed I will be adding a lot of roles into this description, I will need mostly younger voices of varying genders, I will need realistic voices, and I happily accept people who have little to no experience, I encourage you to follow the project to be notified about future possibilities!

  • Casting updates (again)

    Sorry for spamming you all! As of right now I have a cast list except Oli and Breeze. Both of which is torn between 2 people, I have to discuss with the crew but no one is awake. I wanted to say though between all the callbacks I met some amazing people who I hope to got I get to work with in the future.   • Casting Shortlist.

    Howdy, everyone! Thank you for your patience in waiting for a cast list. In the last day, I have spent many hours relistening to every single audition and creating the first draft of the shortlist. This is my shortlist with a max of 10 people per character but some characters have as little of 4. I will go over the list with my team to make a list of people who I will callback for more readings but I would like to announce that *****I will be sending out DMs to those on the shortlist.**** Hopefully, I'll have those out in the next few hours but if not, they will get done today.   • Auditions closed

    Thank you so so much to everyone who auditioned, we almost hit 600 and when I started this I thought we would get MAYBE 60. Here’s my timeline for the next week: I need to talk to my two scene artists. I had added in two animators but I’m still looking for another one or two. I will shortlist about 10-15 actors per role (hopefully that’ll be done tomorrow) I will discuss with my team and narrow down to 3-4, I will talk to those and possibly do live auditions with other lines from other episodes Once casted they will be in the discord and in on the scoop. If you’d like more consistent updates while not casted you can follow our Tiktok @TribusRem. If Trump deletes tiktok I’ll post an update and possibly make a community discord or start an instagram or twitter. Thank you all so so much. <3

Opal doesn't speak much, they present a little on the feminine side but is nonbinary, I don't mind if a male plays them but I would like a higher voice if you are a male and a lower if you are female. They end up being the key character in the series and I consider them the most important one. They are also highly protective on account of their many younger siblings. 

  • Opal: "Breeze, how many times do I have to tell you that if you take him everywhere he is going to get separation anxiety and we won’t be able to leave him at home without making a mess?"

    Context: Protective but stern

  • Opal: "I don't know why I'm here, President. I just... I really wanted to see the herbanackle ring. I- I don't know why I'm here."

    Context: They're far from home, talking to a pet. Should be a little "identity crisis" esc. 

  • Opal: "Don't you think you're being a little... fantastical, Oli? You say I know everything but you're the one who is curing diseases and making animals smarter than people."

    Context: I'm not sure yet, I haven't written this episode. It should be a climactic point, though.

Breeze Dillon is a kind, gentle heart who finds moments in everything. I like to say her brain moves faster than herself sometimes leading to her being frantic. She is driven by enjoying life but is also looming on her past, looking for a "missing" relative throughout the series, she often finds herself distracted. She's a loveable character with a golden heart. Also, Mister President is her pet. 

  • Breeze: "Yeah, they said um- They said like, “people who grew up on Carol are just better with these things than people on John.” But then like, I told them my mom was from Carol and that I used to visit as a kid there to like help with her family’s fields and so I go there like a lot. And um they said that like, “we also don’t like people who ever worked in Dave” because something about the industrial ‘energy’ rubbing off on the babies and just- they were just- I don’t know."

    Context: She's explaining why she didn't get a job at a plant nursery. Carol and Dave are locations. 

  • Breeze: "Bud, I am short you can’t run like that! ...  Calm down, it’s okay, can you pay for it? ... It’s okay, I’ll pay for it, just, just breathe. ... Don’t do it again, please."

    Context: Just chased a kid for shoplifting, a little out of breath.

  • Breeze: "Mr. President!"

    Context: Mr. President is a household pet, please do multiple takes and show variety.

Barfolimuu "Oli" Turk is a genius, this character is very intelligent, he's the guy that stays up all night working on projects, gets up for coffee, and ideal sleeping hour is noon to four. He says what he thinks a lot and it funny doing so. He's kind of a "loveable scamp." Writing this, I'm thinking of Tramp from Lady and The Tramp. Oli cares so much about Breeze, Opal, and President, always trying to do what's right. His riskiness gets in his way sometimes and he makes some grave mistakes. Try not to do a typical “nerdy voice,” save that for John from Dean’s Coffee

  • Oli: "Hey, uh- I’m here to pick up my order of 4 grams of Gollagenelized Enzyme 46G."

    Context: (Think collagen-ized but with a G) (Galla-gen-ized)

  • Oli: "Debra/Don, Begin front passage unlock sequence, please."

    Context: Talking to a robot, you get to choose to say either Debra or Don. The robot's name will be changed depending on who is cast.

  • Oli: "Breeze, I don't think Opal's okay. I don't know how she's going to cope with- I don't know how many of us will. I hate not knowing things, Breeze. I'm sorry you didn't find what you were looking for."

    Context: This needs to be heart wrenching. It needs to be.

Mister President (Pres for short) is a, well, he was a jackalope. He does have an internal monologue starting on episode two and will hopefully one day speak. He's a saucy boy, not always kind, but he does love Breeze dearly. He tolerates Oli and he thinks the reasons are obvious. To Opal he is a friend, they don't rely on each other but he will tag along for the ride to provide some company. I want strong character voices for President, he should be quite distinct. Avoid sounding like everyone else's audition, I want a large range to choose from, feel free to submit multiple takes.

  • President: Opal... Why are we here?

  • President: I don't believe in Earth if I haven't seen something, it doesn't exist. No exceptions. 

  • Improv something for him to say that you think he might.

Mavelyn is Oli's long time girlfriend. She used to be sweet, so he thinks he remembers, but as time went on she became more and more toxic and controlling. I hope she will eventually have a character arc but as of now, one is not planned. Try not to do a typical "bitchy valley girl" thing, that's severely annoying. 

  • MAVELYN: *scoffs* "I’m not jealous. Why would I be jealous of Breeze? She’s literally a child. .....  I know you two have been like friends, or whatever, for like your whole lives but I’m seriously uncomfortable with how much time you spend together. "

    CONTEXT: On a date with Oli, she talks bad on Breeze

  • MAVELYN: "Exactly. I think- I think you. I think you like her more than me! ...... I mean you spend all this time together and you don’t even pick up the phone when I call you and just- Maybe I’m a terrible girlfriend and you hate me ... "

    CONTEXT: She's being manipulative and cruel. She's not really upset, just trying to guilt Oli.

This protester is a legendary person. They will appear in several episodes because I loved writing them and I want to do more. As of now he is a potential love interest for Breeze and is our lead in episode 4. If a second season comes, he will be a major character.   • Protestor: "BEANS ON EARTH! BEANS ON EARTH! BEANS ON EARTH!"

  • Protestor: "Hey, little buddy, we’re protesting Dean’s coffee using coffee beans from Earth, we need to protect that place. You should join us."

    Context: To President.

  • HEAD PROTESTOR: "Wow... (BREEZE: What are you protesting here?) Lowering the cost of herbanackle for the homeless population here on Dave. We usually stay on John but today we just had an inkling to come here. I see why ...  I like your hair ... Cya ‘round. Um ... Cya ‘round, Breeze Dillon."


    CONTEXT: Be smitten, but also strong and sure, he turns into a major romantic interest.

The morning news announcer throughout the tri-planetary system. Make it "sporty." They will likely have a line almost every episode of about this length. Maybe a spin-off episode that's just a long monologue of this because I love writing this announcer. 

  • Announcer: "It’s a beautiful morning on Planet John, the solar system is moving at a steady pace and our moon today is brought to you by Dean’s Coffee, the best coffee in the tri-plantary system! Try Dean’s Coffee: Coffee from home. You’re listening to 2020FM Radio, here’s your 8am top hits!

  • Announcer: "Good morning Tri-planetary system, your message comes directly from Chancellor Stella Leveti’s office. She says ‘Attention Tri-planetary system, please stop littering. It is rude’ end message. Thank you Thank you! If you’re on Carol you’re in for luck, the planet’s ring will reach a beautiful pink color at dusk and the herbanackle plants will finally bloom! Dave, the stock market still works, thank you for that. John, your homeless rate has reached an all-time high (to someone else) why the fiddle can’t they get on that? Oh? What? Am I? OH SH-“ *transmission cuts*

I have no idea, I had the idea for this character in the shower and I fell on the floor laughing. He will appear often. His voice needs to be nasily and monotone, he's one of the only characters that I have a distinct idea of their voice. I will likely submit a sample audition myself so you understand the pacing. Think typical teenager working part-time and really doesn't want to be there. 

  • John from Dean's Coffee: "Hi welcome to dean’s coffee, my name is John, yes, like the planet. We are aware of the protests and would like to remind you that Dean’s coffee is produced exclusively on Carol, the only agricultural producer in the tri-planetary system. Dean’s slogan, “coffee from Home” is in reference to the fact that dean’s coffee can be delivered right to your doorstep so you can have your Dean’s coffee at home."

  • John from Dean's Coffee: "Look man, I'm not Dean, I don't know Dean, I'm not even convinced Dean is a real person. It's a big company. If you're going to protest please stay outside, the maximum capacity of the building is eight people. Thank you."

  • HOT DOG MAN (Making Opal a hot dog): Yeah, I don’t know where he is, he’s here almost every day, maybe he went to the grocery outlet down the street, he knows someone there.

I need an animator who can animate to the style of some of the shows listed in the description. Please submit a demo reel. 

This is not required but it is highly recommended: Submit a 20 second to minute long animation (it's totally fine if it's just in sketching stages or even line work), the animation should be of a jackelope, the jackelope is being chased by a colony of small mice in an alleyway, being cornered, the jackelope jumps up trashcans and random debris to reach the top of a building. Add some character into it, this is part of a scene in the first episode. Thank you!

Alternatively, animate this scene: Someone walking alongside the jackelope, with earbuds in, they are contemplative. They sit at a bench and stare to the sky, as the sunsets, the stars appear and a huge planetary ring turns pink. Behind them, flowers bloom. 

Bonus points if you do a little of both.
