Project Overview
Hello, everyone! This casting call is for Season 1 of "Honey Bee: The assassin with yellow stripes on her black heart." it is my first original series in a while, I am producing an original anime. It starts off as a romance and slowly spirals into a psychological Horror, so you must be comfortable with reading about murder, kidnapping, etc. to audition for a main role.
We're casting for a slew of voices to be used throughout the season. Most main roles are highschoolers so I’m looking for youthful voices, as well as a few older and even younger. All roles are in the English language. although it is set in a made up city, that city is in japan.
For main roles, we're paying between $15-$30 for the project. All payments are made through PayPal. For minor roles we’re paying $3-$10, if you do not have paypal we cannot pay you. If you cannot be payed but still wish to play a role for free you can still audition.
We also showcase all of our voice actors at the end of each episode, during the ending credits.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
- First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
- Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics, or at least with headphones in a silent area (no air conditioners in the background, no fans, no background talking -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to our audio geniuses :)
- Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three is the gold standard. We have a few voice actors that would rather give us more takes, and that's okay, too. However please at least remove the takes you don't want to be featured on the series.
- Please submit your recordings as one file to our email address, which will be provided to you after casting. If a file is too large to submit via email, we can also use google drive.
- We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly and only after great consideration - we realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.

she’s usually blunt, speaks in monotone, and almost lifeless.
But at school she puts on the act of being a cute and bubbly normal girl.
Trained in combat and acting, she’s the perfect female ninja/assassin.

He’s energetic, gives off a prince vibe, but is a bit narcissistic.
Quarter english, Quarter American, half Japanese. Polite, kind, handsome. He’s the ultimate blond Japanese highschool prince. His dad just happens to be a gang overlord of a gang that goes by Nanzen Kare Sakura. For protection he had to learn self defense as a child. Never felt any real emotions before.
“Hey, never expected you to be here.”
“Is my blonde hair really that pretty?”
“Aww so cute!”
Tenebris’s best friend and bodyguard, barely any personality and Always in a daze, never fazed by anything. they’re always tired and bored. Either looks chilled and high or overly happy. Their eyes are down turned and they’re really friendly. They’re a gaming streamer outside of school, with a lot of fans to fill the void of having no friends.
“Was I ever important to you?”
“Why does it matter to you if I’m male or female? You got a crush on me or something?”
“I’ll protect you!”
She’s basically a gremlin
“Ehh... she seems kinda annoying to me”
“I’ll say what I want, idiot.”
“I will slit your kneecaps open”
