Project Overview
WHO ARE WE?
We're two people, a shrimp and a piece of toast who wants to create a fandom that will go down in history.
GENERAL INFO
Currently we're only casting for main characters. If you're not cast for a main role, and your voice matches the tone of the show, we may ask you to provide lines for supporting roles in the production.
All roles are in the English language. Voice actors must be comfortable using possible slang and references from around 2010.
For main roles, payments will be dependant on success of the game. The current estimated time for full production is around 2-4 years. However, each character role will get guarenteed merchandise of their character including but not limited to; keychains, acrylic standees, pins, plushies and prints.
Future convention appearances will be a guarantee. Talents may or may not be required to pay for their own travel. That will be decided later on.
COMMUNICATION
We communicate primarily through Discord and Twitter. If you are unfamiliar with either of these applications, you can still audition, however, we strongly, strongly recommend participation through Discord so that you can collaborate with your fellow voice actors. We also hold weekly practices with playing games so you can practice being in character.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
First and foremost, have fun -- we take pride in bringing together talents in different mediums to create something truly phenomenal, but none of it means anything if the people involved aren't passionate about their craft.
Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production. Don't add effects to your lines -- leave that to our audio geniuses :)

Briar is the lead role in Hiraeth.
A semi-anxious, cautious guy who tries his best to do the right thing, even when he’s not sure what that is. He overthinks a lot and tends to worry about messing up, but deep down, he’s genuinely kind and just wants to make others feel safe. Despite his nerves, he always tries being a warmth to others.
Tone: Gentle and soft-spoken, but with an underlying strain,
Emotion range: Able to shift between hesitant, hopeful, and determined.
Delivery: Natural and slightly breathy at times, especially when he’s anxious or thinking out loud.
Pitch: Mid to slightly higher male range.
Pacing: Often slow and cautious when speaking, but can pick up pace when emotional or panicked.
Key moments: When Briar gets brave or emotional, his voice should crack slightly.
"Sometimes, I wonder if I’ll ever get back… if I’ll ever wake up. But… even if I can’t, I hope the people I meet here know I meant well… that I tried to help them, too."
Ashton is a LEAD role.
Ashton comes across as quiet and distant, the kind of person who doesn’t let just anyone in. He has a cold, aloof edge that keeps people at a distance. He’s only been in the spirit world for about a year, still carrying the shock and grief of the car crash that took him and his sister Ashley. Despite his reserved nature, he has a soft spot for Briar.
Tone: Calm, measured, and slightly detached.
Emotion Range: Subtle, mostly reserved, but capable of warmth, slight concern or sadness.
Delivery: Slow and deliberate, with slight pauses that hint at thoughtfulness or hesitation.
Pitch: Mid-range, slightly lower, giving a grounded, steady feel.
"I don’t usually talk much, and I’m not sure anyone really wants to hear what I have to say. But… Briar, I think you need to know that even if I seem distant, I’m watching out for you. I just don’t show it the way most people do."
Ashley is a LEAD role.
Ashley is bright, bubbly, and full of energy and is the kind of person who lights up a room just by being in it. She has a playful, friendly charm, however she can be extremely cautious. She doesn’t fully trust people right away, and she’s quick to keep her guard up if something feels off. Having died in the same car crash as her brother Ashton, she shares an extremely strong bond with him.
Tone: Upbeat, cheerful, and energetic, but with a subtle edge of caution underneath.
Emotion Range: Can swing from playful and teasing to slightly wary or skeptical, depending on the situation.
Delivery: Quick and lively when excited, but softens slightly or hesitates when she’s unsure of someone. Natural pauses refer to her cautious side.
Pitch: Higher-mid range, bright and lively, with a warm undertone.
"You know, once you get used to it, this place really isn't so bad! Sure, people can be a little... strange, but it adds some pizazz to the world!"
Tobias is a LEAD Role
Toby Anderson is bright and quick to smile. He's the kind of person who fills a room with energy the second he walks in. He’s curious, talkative, and often a little too eager to make friends, clinging to the first bit of kindness he’s shown. Toby, however, struggles with severe separation anxiety. He hates being alone. When he’s around others, especially people he grows attached to, he’s affectionate to the point of obsession, desperate to feel needed and not left behind.
Tone: Bright and animated on the surface. he sounds like the kind of person who tries way too hard to keep the mood light. However his cheerfulness can crack or shift without warning.
Emotion Range: From giddy excitement to desperate panic in a heartbeat. He’s expressive and emotional, his voice often revealing what he’s trying to hide: fear, loneliness, or obsession.
Delivery: Quick and energetic when happy or talking to someone he’s attached to, but frantic and shaky when scared or left alone. He often laughs mid-sentence from either happiness or nervousness.
Pitch: Mid-to-high range with a youthful, expressive quality. Can easily shift from bright and chipper to strained and trembling.

Roulette is a LEAD role.
Roulette is unapologetically sharp, egotistical, and brutally honest... in other words, she’s an absolute bitch. She thrives on sarcasm and enjoys keeping people on their toes, She exudes confidence and self-assurance, rarely letting anyone see her doubts or vulnerabilities. she’s quick to dismiss anyone who doesn’t meet her standards or gets on her nerves.
Tone: Sharp, confident, and biting.
Emotion Range: Mostly cocky, sarcastic, and egotistical, but can occasionally drop into impatience or mockery. Vulnerability is rarely, if ever, shown.
Delivery: Quick, crisp, and energetic. She often emphasizes the punch of her sarcasm.
Pitch: Mid-to-high range, clear and expressive, with a slightly teasing or taunting edge.
"Ohhh, look at you… all nervous and fumbling like some lost little puppy. Honestly, it’s almost impressive how worried you get over every little thing. Do you even realize how… pathetic you look trying to keep up?"
Tabitha is a LEAD role.
Tabitha is gentle, warm, and polite. the kind of person who makes everyone around her feel safe and cared for. She can be compared to as a comforting mother figure, and her kindness is sincere in every word and gesture. She struggles with guilt over her role in trying to take Briar’s soul, and it weighs on her conscience deeply. She tries to make amends through compassion and understanding, often going out of her way to soothe Briar's fears and anxieties.
Tone: Warm, gentle, and soothing. the kind of voice that makes listeners feel safe and cared for.
Emotion Range: Calm, nurturing, and patient, but capable of subtle guilt, regret, or quiet worry when thinking about her past actions.
Delivery: Slow, deliberate, and soft-spoken. Her words are comforting.
Pitch: Mid-range, smooth, and mellow, with a maternal quality.
"Briar… I know I shouldn’t have tried to take your soul. I can’t ever undo what I did, but I want you to know that I mean no harm now. I just… I want to help you, to make sure you’re safe. Please let me try, even if I don’t deserve your trust."
Maxwell is a LEAD role
Maxwell is a doctor who’s seen more loss than he knows how to carry. Once devoted to saving lives, he’s now burnt out, divorced, and drowning in guilt over everything he couldn’t fix, including himself. He suffers from alcoholism to ease the pain, though it doesn’t help much when you’re already dead.. He tries to guide Briar, even when he doesn’t believe he’s worth guiding anyone.
Tone: Deep, weary, and slightly gravelly. There’s a calmness to him, but it’s heavy, like someone who’s just… tired.
Emotion Range: Worn-down, self-loathing, occasionally sardonic. He masks his pain with dry humor or resignation.
Delivery: Slow, deliberate, often with sighs or pauses that suggest exhaustion or reflection.
Pitch: Low to mid-low, mature, steady even when slurred slightly from drink or fatigue.

Ambrose is a LEAD role.
Ambrose is snappy, rude, and prickly. He's the kind of person who pushes people away before they get the chance to hurt him. He has a sharp tongue and isn’t afraid to call people out, but much of his attitude comes from insecurity. He prefers isolation, finding comfort in being alone where he doesn’t have to face judgment or disappointment. Ambrose doesn’t seek company, but he isn’t completely incapable of connection; he just makes it very, very difficult.
Tone: Sharp, sarcastic, and a little abrasive. His words often sting.
Emotion Range: Snappy and defensive most of the time, but occasionally frustrated, anxious, or vulnerable. He’s quick to lash out when he feels exposed or cornered.
Delivery: Short, clipped sentences work best. Hesitation can appear when he’s unsure of himself, but he usually masks it with irritation or sarcasm.
Pitch: Mid to low-range, slightly rough, not harsh, but carries a “don’t mess with me” edge. Can drop slightly when frustrated or anxious.
