About justinkbrown

Hello, there! Justin K. Brown here! I'm a voice actor from San Diego, California. I have been pursuing acting since 2014, I have taken several acting classes at Palomar College including improvisational courses and courses focusing on Shakespearean monologues. I have taken several ADR Workshops with Adventures in Voice Acting taught by Tony Oliver and David Sobolov. At Anime Los Angeles 2019 I placed in the top 10 in their Voice Wars competition and at Anime Expo 2019 I was a top 10 finalist out of several hundred submissions in the Shikizakura voice acting competition.

I record with a Neumann TLM-103 microphone with an Solid State Logic SSL2 audio interface. I record in a small room padded from floor to ceiling with moving blankets.

Over the past few years, I have performed in dozens of YouTube videos for various creators. I played the recurring characters Black Knight and Ruin in several successful videos for the YouTube channel New Scape Productions. I voiced several characters and enemies in the 2021 video game Clea 2, available now for PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. In 2023, I voiced The Missed Connection in DerpyChoCho's short visual novel, Only in Passing. I voice the Erlking and Jorundel in the fantasy card game World of Grimm, available on Steam. I am voicing Robot Chicken Cat King in the upcoming indie animated series, Zipped Up.

    This is going to be a rather chaotic letter, (written also by a person who is not a native English user) but I will open it like this;

    This was my very first time working with a voice actor, but Justin with his kind attitude helped alleviate the stress over this new experience.

    Justin is a remarkably gifted guy who loves to venture into roles of diverse colors. He was able to perfectly portray the character of a powerful, sadistic angel and a sarcastic psychologist. You can hear the passion in him, to bring a life into the characters of the given project, which, in my opinion, should be an inspiration for the upcoming voice performers. Working with him was a time I remember fondly.

    I hope that independent creators, small or big, will reach out for his services, because it's really worth it.

    And also that soon his name will appear everywhere, just like Michael Kovach's.
