Project Overview

Hello, and welcome to the project page!

I'm pretty sure that most people are familiar with what Genshin Impact is, but if you aren't, it's an anime-styled mobile gacha game released in 2020 by the company miHoYo. I guess you could say it's pretty popular.

With that out of the way, hello! I'm samgrace, and I have a channel that makes comic dub videos. I've been doing it off and on for almost 3 years, I have 6k subscribers, and I've accumulated over 1 million views (that's a lot!)

Most of the time, I prefer to do the voices myself (I hate asking people to do things for me) but I'm only one person, and I can only do so many voices. I've decided to man up and actually recruit people I don't know. Wild.

As for the project rules, it's the standard stuff. Just sound nice, with a good mic and minimal background noise. I don't really care how old you are, as long as you're not breaking ToS by being here.

Make sure to provide some sort of contact in the comments of your audition, like you Discord tag (preferred), your Twitter, your e-mail, whatever works for you. If I cast you, I might call upon you again to voice the same character for another video in the future, so it'd be good to stay in touch.

More roles will be added if I need them.

Voice Reference (Poonam Basu)

Klee is an energetic and outgoing girl. She acts like a typical young girl - full of energy and loves playing with her friends. She has a particular talent for creating explosives (as bombs) and adores everything that blows up. Klee's definition of playing is throwing explosives all over the place; she is particularly fond of "fish blasting"; throwing bombs in lakes full of fishes. Whenever she heads out of the city to play, she always ensures that she is far enough from the city and tries to avoid hurting good people with her bombs. Despite adhering by the rules, she usually causes a big disaster.

  •  (introducing herself) "Spark Knight Klee of the Knights of Favonius, reporting for duty! ...There's some more, but uh, I forgot. I'm not so good at remembering... "

  • (childish, nonchalant) "I remember the first time I ever heard an explosion... I wasn't scared at all. Later on, I found out that apparently, that's not "normal", and most people would've been scared. But hey, you're not scared of my bombs right? Tee-hee, I knew it! That's why your my bestest friend ever!"

  • (overly excited) "Heeeyy! Did you miss Klee? Let's go blast some fish!"

Voice Reference (Todd Haberborn)

Razor is a generally good-natured person who considers his wolf pack his family. He seeks revenge on those who hurt his family, but usually considers the few people he encounters in the woods as friends. Razor goes out of his way to protect those he sees in danger. Razor is honest and forthright, due to his limited exposure to Mondstadt's social rules and formalities. He isn't one for flowery language and usually speaks in short statements with few words.

  • (neutral, speaking about something he likes) "I like the stars at night. So many stars. In the sky, in the lake. And in the city."

  • (sincerely) "When I run with you, when I hunt with you, I am happy. With you, I am not a wolf, I am not a boy, I am just me. I am Razor. Because you are my friend. You are my Lupical. I hope you feel happy, too!"

  • (agitated) "Bennett, you're late."

Voice Reference (Cristina Vee)

Bennett is a well-behaved person, albeit he somehow has terrible luck attributed to him. His bad luck causes all types of misfortunes to befall either him or others nearby. He is oblivious to the fact that his former members had left him because of said luck. Despite this, Bennett is very optimistic and continues to show a positive outlook on life, attributed to the fact that despite the odds, he somehow manages to push through them.

  • (introducing himself) "This is your team? Cool... I like the vibe. I'm Bennett, leader of Benny's Adventure Team. Any chance we can team up? Please?"

  • (excited, passionate) "I think I get why you teamed up with me now. It's cause we're the same, you and I- we both like that adrenaline rush you get from being in dangerous situations. That's what makes adventuring so addictive!"

  • ["Her" refers to Klee] (lightheartedly apologizing) "Hee hee... Sorry, gotta look after her."

Voice Reference (Jackie Lastra)

Xiangling loves cooking, having learned the art from her father. She does not have a discerning eye towards a specific type of cuisine, seeing that food is a way to expand and experiment. She will use anything for her recipes, even unconventional ingredients that would gross out others. Even if some of the dishes are not to her liking, Xiangling will not give up and simply press on to modify or start over from scratch.

  • (introducing herself, getting flustered at the end) "Hello, nice to meet you! My name is Xiangling, I'm a chef from Liyue! My favorite place is the chicken... I mean, the kitchen! Ugh, I practiced so hard, but I still get nervous when introducing myself... Hee hee."

  • (pondering the question at first, then confident in her answer) "My favorite thing to eat is... whatever exotic ingredient I haven't tried yet! No, I'm not dodging the question, that's my honest answer!"

  • (lost in thought, daydreaming about food) "Aww... How sweet... Just like the boars I had yesterday. Inseparable and delicious..."

Voice Refrence (Beau Bridgland)

Chongyun is a positive and honorable young man with a passion for sweets. He takes his duties as an exorcist seriously and usually has a stoic, composed personality, although this isn't always the case. Despite being an exorcist, Chongyun has yet to exorcise or even see a spirit with his own eyes—his excessive positive energy terrifies all spirits in range. He is a hard worker, expressing his disdain towards his positive energy, considering it to be a cheap trick. His noble nature often means that whenever he is commissioned to exorcise spirits, he hesitates at the thought of accepting payment when he did nothing.

  • (introducing himself) "My name is Chongyun. My family has practiced the art of exorcism in Liyue for many generations. Fate has been generous in allowing my path cross with that of your distinguished self. ...Oh no— my services are free of charge!"

  • (relaxed) "As the day winds down and the quiet of evening sets in, the atmosphere is ripe for focusing your mind. There is no better time than this for training!"

  • [hushing Xiangling] (trying to be quiet) "X-Xiangling, shh...! Can you please quiet down...?"

Voice Reference (Joesy Montana McCoy)

Kaeya is an outwardly confident and charming individual with a flair for the dramatic, and is sometimes seen as overly laid-back. He seems to get a kick out of telling bald-faced lies, but this tendency becomes a talent when it comes to his role as the brains of the Knights of Favonius. He frequently does this with thieves and criminals, and then decides whether to arrest them or let them walk free. As long as everything falls into place the way he expects in the end, Kaeya doesn't care all that much about the means.

  • (introducing himself) "Kaeya, Knight of Favonius. Please, allow me to join you on your journey. Guarding you on your journey sounds far more entertaining than any of the usual Favonius stuff."

  • [Speaking to the player] (sincere) "I never thought I'd have you to thank for getting me to this point. Seems I really should respond in kind. Let us carry on, partner. The road ahead is still long."

  • [Imitating the Team Rocket speech] (flirty) "Surrender now or prepare to fight!~"

Voice Reference (Elizabeth Maxwell)

Rosaria is a somewhat intimidating woman who has a rather unorthodox idea of piety. She dislikes topics that bore her and having to work overtime. Despite her position in the church, Rosaria appears to be relatively lazy on the surface, disliking her fellow sisters because they continually pester her to do church duties, such as attending choir and mass, which she continually skips on a daily basis. However, this is due to her other role in investigating threats to the city and ensuring that none of them can threaten its people.

  • (complaining about work) "Each of the Sisters is worse than the next. If it's not about prayer, then it's about choir or some other thing I'm supposed to participate in... I'm trying to stay out of sight, so don't you dare tell them you saw me here."

  • (neutral) "Work hard and live each day to the fullest. That is what life in Mondstadt is all about, isn't it?"

  • [Imitating the Team Rocket speech] (confidently drunk) "Team Cryo blasts off at the speed of light!"

Voice Reference (Dina Sherman)

Diona is in a bit of a rebellious phase. While Diona adores her father and idolized him in her youth, witnessing his change in personality while drunk shattered the pedestal she put him on — and started her vendetta against alcohol. Diona seeks to mix the most disgusting alcoholic drinks possible and ruin the Mondstadt wine industry. Unfortunately for her, she has a magic touch that makes all her drinks delicious no matter how noxious her ingredients are, much to her frustration.

  • (introducing herself, getting huffy when she realizes she's not getting any money) "Diona, Bartender of the Cat's Tail! I charge a hefty fee for private events... huh? You didn't come here for a drink? Hmph... Well, then I accept your invitation... I suppose..."

  • [Speaking to the player] (solemn, sentimental) "You and me... we're good friends now, right? I kind of remember having a friend like this before, but maybe it was a dream... Here, give me your hand. Ahh... Hmm, nice and warm... Very nice... please don't leave me, and become another dream."

  • (joyfully, having fun) "Meow! That's right!"

Voice Reference (Sean Chiplock)

Diluc was once an ideal young man, dedicated to his work with Knights of Favonius. When he was a member of the Knights, he adored his father, Crepus. But after his father's untimely death, Diluc grew aloof, bitter, and distant in part due to Inspector Eroch's mishandling of the case. Even after Eroch was discharged as a traitor, Diluc retained his resentment for the Knights, claiming that they are too complacent. Believing them to be unfit for the job, he became a vigilante known as the "Darknight Hero" to protect the people of Mondstadt.

  • (introducing himself, stand-offish) "Diluc, of Mondstadt. Not interested in idle chit-chat. If you have things you want to get done, let me know."

  • [Speaking to the player] (impressed, letting his guard down) "Be it chess or combat, you always seem to surprise me. Hmm... working with you is quite the novelty. So... I look forward to continuing to work with you, partner."

  • (deadpan) "Why am I still here...?"

Voice Reference (Laila Berzins)

Xiao is shown to be quite polite, reserved, logical and determined, albeit curt and straight to the point. He is rarely in a good mood and prefers being alone. He shows almost no interest in humans and their culture, some of which he finds strange and/or pointless. As a result of his Yaksha duties, Xiao is constantly afflicted by his negative karmic burdens due to the endless slaughter performed under the rule of an evil god. Others have taken note of the pain he constantly suffers and take pity on him, being the only Yaksha to actively protect Liyue, whereas his fellow comrades have since disappeared or died. This negative karma is also the reason he prefers being alone, as he does not wish to burden others with his own problems.

  • (introducing himself) "If you awake to a knife at your throat, if monsters dig their claws into you, if death comes knocking at your door, call out my name. Adeptus Xiao. I will be here when you call."

  • (protective) "I'm willing to protect you. But don't think about getting close, and stay out of my way, or all that awaits you is regret."

  • [Speaking to Venti, "that" refers to his braids] (nervous)  "Ah.. um. No, it's... you hair. How did you do that?

Voice Reference (Erika Harlacher)

Venti enjoys roaming around Mondstadt playing songs to his people, most of whom are unaware of his true identity as the Anemo Archon. He is very well-liked due to his musical talent, having won the title "Most Popular Bard of Mondstadt" three times. Venti is also an avid drinker of alcoholic beverages, and has a high tolerance to alcohol. To his disdain however, the form he takes causes most bartenders to see him as a minor, but he gets around this by telling people to get drinks for him in return for his performances.

  • [Speaking to the player](happy) "Ah, Traveler, we meet again! What? You don't remember me? Ahaha, well, allow me to join you on your quest once again. I must see to it that the bards of the world tell the Traveler's tales!"

  • [Speaking to the player](beckoning) "Come on Traveler, let's go! The world is full of lost ballads just waiting to be rediscovered!"

  • [Speaking to Xiao](chipper) "Oh, this? It's called braid hair!"
