Five Minute Mysteries - "Death Calls at Dinner"

Five Minute Mysteries - "Death Calls at Dinner"

Project Overview

When a neighborhood dinner party is interrupted by the sudden death of its host, Sergeant Barker and his officers are on the case.  As the men search for evidence and round up potential suspects, the clock is ticking for them to figure out whodunnit!

"Five Minute Mysteries" was an old time radio show done in an episodic format. Each installment focused on a standalone story involving a murder or crime of some kind. To provide suspense, the facts of the case would all be laid out before cutting to a commercial break, during which the listener was challenged to exercise their own detective skills to solve the mystery.

This is just a fun little project that seeks to recreate an episode of a classic audio drama for a new audience. Keep in mind that this episode is short, as implied by the title of the series, so there aren't too many lines per character. Everyone is welcome to audition for multiple characters! It will be produced and posted on youtube and everyone will be credited by their preferred names.

Audition Notes:

1. Have a good mic. It doesn't need to be anything spectacular, just make sure the white noise is kept to a minimum and will be at par with the rest of the cast.

2. Do at least two takes of each line. Mix up your delivery a bit so I can get an idea of your range as a voice actor.

3. If you are casted, be respectful around your fellow voice actors and remember to submit lines on time. I may ask you to submit a line again, but this is not likely. Tell me about any schedule conflicts you might be dealing with so we can work something out.
