Fire Emblem Heroes - Lord's Critical/Skill Quotes FanDub

Fire Emblem Heroes - Lord's Critical/Skill Quotes FanDub

Project Overview

Hello and welcome to Premier's Fire Emblem Heroes - Lord's Critical/Skill Quotes FanDub (it's a mouthful isn't)

As the name suggests, this casting call will be dedicated to casting the Lords, and kinda Lords, of the Fire Emblem Series. Our objective is to make a short maybe 5 minute video featuring all the skill quotes of the Lords. I've saw Critical Hits video from other games but never one like this, maybe they exist and I've never saw one I don't know.

But anyways let's cover a few rules!

GROUNDRULES

  1. 1. Good acting! - Now if you've played Fire Emblem Heroes you'll know that the skill quotes are very poorly done...it's embarrassing to listen to professional voice actors and actresses sounding so bored. So please, really go for these quotes and don't give us a half-a**ed attempt.

2. Accents! - As fun as it would be to give every series a different accent, I'd like all the characters to have nice North American accents. If you aren't American, fear not! As long as your accent is convincing enough I'll be happy.

3. No time wasting! - Ok, saying "Hey [insert name] here and I'm auditioning for the role of [insert character name] enjoy!" No, no, no! Let's get straight to the audition and not waste any time with boring intros!

4. Feedback! - If you'd like feedback can you please send me a PM.

5. Be nice! - This is to be a fun project. Don't be rude or disrespect one another, or get salty if you aren't cast.

And lastly, although all the characters have English voice actors, I''d like you to give an original take for the characters and not try and impersonate the English VA's. There's no point doing a fandub if we're just going to be impersonating the characters is there?

Also, with regards to casting - no limit to how many characters you can be cast as. Audition for as many characters as you like!

Do your best and stay positive :D

Marth

Role assigned to: HorseHogan

Marth is voiced  by Spike Spencer in OAV, and Yuri Lowenthal in the games. Both voice actors take a different yet similar take on Marth, and I like both their takes – so feel free to draw inspiration from both!

Marth is a kindhearted yet incredibly idealistic leader and has subtle pacifist morals. Said morals are a result of him experiencing loss directly, as his sister has been kidnapped twice and parents killed. His idealism takes a toll on him, however, as he melancholically visits the graves of those whom have been killed as seen in New Mystery of the Emblem.

  • "You too are blessed with wonderful allies."

  • "I cannot allow a single one of my friends to die. Together, you and I, with everyone else, will win this war.“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    “My prayers are with you!"
    "Forgive me!"
    "I must end you!"
    "Fate has brought us here!"

Role assigned to: Cauc-asian

Alm is voiced by Kyle McCarley.

Alm is a kind-hearted yet naïve young man who has a strong sense of justice and subtly idealistic morals. He has a strong sense of obligation, wanting to leave Ram Village to help the people of Zofia when he heard about the outbreak of thieves, famine, and the aggression of the Rigelian Empire for the past few years. His sense of justice is rather black-and-white, as he is quick to blame individuals for a number of follies in situations he does not necessarily have the full context to. He has a vaguely puerile sense of humor, as he loves to make puns, and is a terrible dancer

  • "I'm Alm, leader of the Deliverance. You can count on me to take up my sword for your cause.“

  • "This place has so many things I've never seen before and all kinds of people I never thought I'd meet. Amazing, really, and sort of intimidating.“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "This is how it's done!"
    "All right..."
    "This ends here!"
    "Take this!"

Role assigned to: sam ♢

Celica is voiced by Erica Lindbeck.

Celica is a kind and polite person, who is often bold yet refined, but she holds herself back emotionally to an extent after a series of traumatic events and familial loss; as a result, she can come off as cold and stoic, and normally maintain a aura of polite distance, as shown her body language in cutscenes and sprites, which is subtly guarded and closed-off. She usually regrets showing her raw emotions, especially in the rare moments that she lashes out in anger, bitterness, or even sentiment. Celica feels the need that she has to set aside her emotional candor in order to fulfill her responsibilities as royalty. She is a firm believer in bringing peace without fighting, believing that fighting between one another is not the path towards peace and will always try to resolve conflicts peacefully. However, she is more than willing to put her life on the line and fight with her comrades in order to protect them. She also has been shown to be clumsy, possibly a trait rubbed off on her by Nomah, and enjoys studying and reading.

  • "I am Celica, a priestess. Though I'd rather avoid bloodshed, I am prepared to fight if I must.“

  • "I was thinking about a childhood friend of mine. For some reason, we can never quite seem to meet up... Is it fate that keeps us apart?“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "Grant me strength!"
    "My apologies."
    "It's over!"
    "Not about to stop here!"

Siguard is voiced by Grant George.

A honorable man, Sigurd is well-loved by the vast majority of his subjects and inhabitants of the Jugdral continent even after his death, as Oifey remembers him as a "kindhearted man".

  • "I am Sigurd. I am the heir to the duchy of Chalphy and descend from the crusader Baldr.“

  • "If my love for Deirdre is a crime, please punish me, and only me!“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "Here I come!"
"One strike will decide it all!"
    "I cannot allow this."
    "Raise your sword!"

Role assigned to: BrooklynDizzy

Seliph is voiced by Christian La Monte.

Seliph (Serlis in the official website for Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade), full name Seliph Baldos Chalphy, is the protagonist of the second generation of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and a non-playable character from Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is the son of Sigurd and Deirdre, and was chronologically born in Agustria, between Chapters 2 and 3 in the events of Genealogy of the Holy War. He also appears as a DLC character in Awakening, wherein he was illustrated by Suzuki Rika, the illustrator of the Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones novels in Japan.

Seliph is the maternal grandson of Kurth and Cigyun, the great-grandson of Azmur, the half-nephew and stepson of Arvis, and the older half-sibling of Julius and Julia. He is also the cousin of Saias. He is known as the Scion of Light by the citizens of the world, a stark contrast to Julius, who is called the Prince of Darkness.

A descendant of Baldur on his father's side and of Heim and Saint Maera on his mother's side, Seliph is also the paternal grandson of Byron, nephew of Ethlyn, the nephew-in-law of Quan, and the first cousin of their children Leif and Altena. Due to the blood of Baldur, he is a distant relative of Oifey. Due to the blood of Heim, he is a distant relative to Linoan.

  • "I hope to be like my father someday, great and inspiring.“

  • “My father once taught me two valuable lessons. That a ruler should know the sorrows of his people. And that there is more than one truth, no matter what anyone says to the contrary.“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "With all my strength!"
    "I will never yield."
    "I will protect everyone!"
    "Until the end!"

Role assigned to: Krynur

Leif is voiced by Nicolas Roye.

Leif is initially quite naive and childish, but later grows to be a responsible leader. He is generally a kind and gentle person who cares for the people close to him. He is also very reckless, as shown in his conversation with Finn in Chapter 8 of Genealogy of the Holy War. He despises Thracia and initially refuses to seek aid from it in Thracia 776, and his adviser, August, calls him out for it, due to their lack of options at that point. He wishes to have revenge against both Bloom and Travant, the former because he caused the suffering of Leonster's people, and the latter due to his actions in the Yied Massacre.

  • "You're a leader. There's a lot I can learn by watching you.

  • This realm may be tranquil, but war finds its way here all the same. We must not give in. We will prevail! I just know we can do it!“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "I won't run anymore."
    "Whatever it takes!"
"I'll take it back... all of it!"
    "This is my fight!"

Role assigned to: Farrenhyte

Roy is voiced by Ray Chase.

Roy is an upstanding, thoughtful, and idealistic young man who repeatedly shows a desire to help and support others, shown in his interaction with Guinivere and his friend since youth, Lilina. While he would prefer to avoid bloodshed – a fact reflected in his interaction with Guinivere and his tactical efforts to conserve his soldiers – he maintains a strong resolve to see peace return to Elibe. Unlike most young protagonists, however, he is perceptive and cunning for his age – he tricks a traitorous Lycian vassal into exposing himself, deciphers that the bard Elffin is more than he seems (though he does not pursue the truth against Elffin's will), and often reacts calmly and tactically to disturbing news. In a support conversation between Lillina and Cecilia, it is revealed that Roy's inferiority complex is the reason why he picked up a sword despite his teacher using magic. Lilina also notes in a support conversation that he is clumsy and is known to "dance with two left feet."

  • "My name is Roy. I've come on behalf of my father, Eliwood of Pherae. I may be young, but I'll do my best.“

  • "There are so many amazing Heroes to be found here. I'll learn so much from all of them.“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    I will win!"
    "There's my opening!"

Lyn

Role assigned to: syrenefarore

Lyn is voiced by Lani Minella in Smash Bros, and Wendee Lee in Heroes and Warriors – I’d prefer a take closer to Wendee’s.

From her humble origins in the plains, Lyn has been noted as a deep, caring, and kind-hearted soul. She rarely thinks ill of others and, despite the circumstances, always believes on the best of things. However, due to the slaughtering of the Lorca tribe by the Taliver Bandits, she has a great hatred toward all bandits and pirates and refuses to be associated with them unless needed to. So much so, that the initial motivation for her travels was to become stronger in order to retaliate against the bandits in order to avenge her people. However, she does show tolerance to such types depending on the situation, though she is rather slow to trust them.

  • “I'm Lyndis of the noble house of Caelin. Yet I truly belong to the open plains. Just call me Lyn, all right?“

  • "I grew up on the plains, so I'm pretty direct. Still, I have manners, just not etiquette.“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    As if I'd lose!"
    "Watch this!"
    "Now I have you!"
    "By my sword!"

Eliwood is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.

Eliwood is an idealistic pacific leader who has to face the disappearing of his father, and thus decides to look out for him. However, even when he is struggling with his problems, he often shows concern in the troubles from others, one example being in one of his supports with Fiora, in which he asks if she feels comfortable with his army.

  • "My name is Eliwood. I'm a noble from a small realm known as Pherae. I hope I'll be of use to you.“

  • "May we all return from battle alive and unscathed."

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "Watch me work!"
    "Now, take this!"
    "This should do it!"
    "Off with you, fiend!"

Role assigned to: D Tyler Fultz

Hector is voiced Patrick Seitz.

Bold by nature, his straightforward, blunt mannerisms are often a source of consternation among Lycian nobility. This reflects in his fighting style as well, being rash and somewhat dangerous as a result of being self-taught in wielding an axe.

His personality has a surprising compatibility with Lyn’s and they strike up an unusual friendship ranging from provoking each other to chasing each other on with offhand remarks. This frequently confuses Eliwood, who cannot tell whether they are friends or not.

  • "I'm Hector, from a realm called Ostia. But I'm not its ruler. My brother, Uther, is marquess at the moment."‘

  • "How about we spar a bit? What say you?“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "I don't back down!"

Eirika is voiced by Kira Buckland.

Eirika is a very kindhearted, forgiving, gentle, and careful person. She detests violence, saying that she wishes there was a way to solve their issues without violence, while Ephraim is impulsive and likes fighting, revealed in his nostalgia in Serafew that he wants to become a mercenary. She is also very brave in the face of adversity: she will never deny help to anyone who needs it, and despite her distaste for unnecessary violence, she will fight to protect either her friends or her kingdom

  • "My name is Eirika. I'm not fond of fighting, but I'll do my best to support your cause.“

  • "How curious. I feel such warmth and hope when near you."

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "Now it's my turn!"

Ephraim  is voiced by Greg Chun.

Ephraim is revered by his comrades as a brave leader, as well as someone who is renowned for his battle prowess, gift for strategy, and unwavering determination. He is shown to have a very straight-to-the-point attitude, and dislikes wasting time on anything that strays from whatever goal is at hand. He even explains to Eirika that he also has a calling to battle, and it is something he is not sure he can control. One of Ephraim's dreams included becoming a mercenary in order to travel the world. But, Ephraim also puts his responsibility and kingdom first despite this longing for battle, which means he was never able to achieve this dream of his even after the end of the game.

  • "I am Ephraim of Renais, a prince and skilled spearman. So, point me at my enemy. I'll get to work.“

  • “Trust me, I don't pick fights I can't win.“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

Role assigned to: Soledad

Ike is voiced by Greg Chun in Heroes, and Jason Adkins in all other media. I like both takes, so feel free to draw inspiration from both!

A key characteristic of Ike is his more adult-view of the world, due to having been influenced and raised on the battlefield. He hates saying more than needs to be said, and is always stout-hearted. Some others likely perceive this as him acting above his actual ability, however. Characterized as rather naïve when he is introduced, he often takes things at face value. He has a kind and brave personality, acting very protective of his friends and family, and this protectiveness eventually lead him to decide to join the side of the Laguz Alliance in the war against the Begnion Empire.

  • "I'm Ike of the Greil Mercenaries. You the one hiring me? Fine. I'm ready to get to work.“

  • "My father taught me how to handle a sword. It's all I know."

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "I won't let anyone die!"

Role assigned to: natepeach

Micaiah is voiced by Veronica Taylor in Heroes, and Lani Minella Radiant Dawn. I liked both takes, so please feel free to use both voice actresses for inspiration!

Micaiah is a very caring individual, but tends to be somewhat bitter at times, a result of both her treatment as a Branded prior to the story and the abuse of Daein and its citizens by the Begnion Occupational Army. Throughout her life she has been guided by her visions, and although she often wished she didn't have them and felt as if they were a burden, she nonetheless trusted in them to keep her life on the right path, and when her foresight ability weakened during the Laguz Alliance war she felt lost without them. Micaiah has little interest in or taste for finery, and as a result in the days before the Laguz Alliance war, she eschewed using her lavish quarters in Daein Keep in favour of living among the people while assisting in the reconstruction of Nevassa. She is particularly resentful towards Ike, whom she blames for the state of affairs in Daein, and expresses this distaste whenever Sothe speaks fondly of him.

  • "I'm Micaiah. The townspeople call me the Silver-Haired Maiden. I'm pleased to meet you“

  • "Promise me that we'll both live through this."

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

    "I have no choice!"
    "If this means survival..."
    "I have to fight!"
    "Such cowardly tactics."

Chrom is a direct and committed person, unflinchingly charging forward to achieve that which he believes in. He is protective of his sisters, especially Emmeryn, but, despite his protests, never argues with Emmeryn's final decisions. Chrom deeply cares for Lissa's well-being as well, making sure to take care of her while they are off at war.

  • "I'm Chrom, leader of the Shepherds and Prince of the Halidom of Ylisse. For my friends... for peace... I'll fight."

  • "Damn it! Broke another training dummy.“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

Lucina was previously voiced by Laura Bailey, but now is voiced by Alexis Tipton.

Lucina is a strong willed and driven woman who is determined to alter the dark future she came from. She values her comrades deeply and has a sense of justice. Due to the countless deaths and horrific events of the future, she dislikes any form of death, even "noble" ones. Her main motivations come from her love for her parents, especially Chrom. Lucina is willing to do whatever it takes to see that Chrom stays alive, even if it means going against her wish for no needless deaths. Nevertheless, she is obedient to Chrom and puts her trust in her father's judgements, showing a strong bond of trust with her father.

  • "I am Lucina of Ylisse, daughter of Chrom. I believe that we can fight to change our fates. I traveled back from my bleak future to make a difference in my father's past. Now...I am here.“

  • "Talking with you puts me at ease. Thank you for that."

Corrin is mainly voiced by Cam Clarke. However one of his options in Fates is Yuri Lowenthal.  I’m not too fond of Cam’s voice for Corrin, and we’ve saw Yuri 3 times now…so give Corrin a completely original voice! I’ll be casting based on originality!

The Avatar is a kind person who cares deeply for the people they love and will come to the aid of anyone who should ask them for it, rapid-firing apologies if they do something to upset others, likely inheriting this habit from their father. Despite having been sheltered throughout all of their childhood, they are quite social and conversational, as well as persuasive to the point of convincing some enemy soldiers to join their cause. Aside from being unusually charismatic and attracting people to them, the Avatar is also mentioned to have a way with animals, as it is said the horses in the stables like them. As they spent the majority of their time growing up within the walls of Northern Fortress, the Avatar is very curious about the outside world, and quite eager to come across new sights. As proven by their support conversations with Silas, however, this trait of theirs has somewhat diminished over time. The Avatar is often shown to be very curious and nosy about the members of their army and desires to make friends with their allies even If they attempt to push them away such as Beruka who they still desire to befriend despite her threats. The male is more laid-back and sweet in his unique supports.

  • "I'm Corrin—raised in Nohr but born in Hoshido. I devote my Yato blade to your cause, and my dragon power!“

  • "I grew up in a fortress, where I was…never allowed outside.“

  • -Critical Hit Lines, be sure to add in a battle grunt at the end too!-

Alfonse is voiced by Ray Chase.

Alfonse is a kind and serious man who is eager to maintain peace. He finds it hard to trust people, especially heroes and the summoner. This is because of Zacharias, a hero he was close with, “dying” in battle. Another hero Alfonse had bonded with had left to go home, with also played a part in his distant nature. Alfonse thinks of himself as not being the “prince” type, and joined the Order of Heroes even when Askrian people said it wasn’t royal-like and his father expressed outrage.

  • "Some of our kingdom's subjects objected when I joined this order. But I wanted to do my part. Still, there are others who say that I don't behave quite like a prince ought to anyway.“
