Short Summary: End Game is a Halo 2/Halo 2 Anniversary machinima about a group of online friends playing Halo 2 online for one last time before Microsoft shuts down the servers at midnight. However, the game doesn’t last one night but rather 1 month where a disconnect or power outage means the end of the game for them.
Long Summary: Back on April 15th 2010 Microsoft shut down the original Xbox online servers, despite this Microsoft and Bungie (the creators of Halo 2) stated that if you are in the middle of a game you will not be kicked until the end of the match. So a group of players vowed to keep their xbox’s on until they overheat, the power goes out, or other technical issues occur kicking them. This lasts for a few days shy of a month. The protagonist Apache N4SIR (homage to the actual last man on Xbox Live) who used to hang out with a group of 4 other friends online until they all stopped playing due to personal reasons still plays the game nearly everyday. Unable to let go of the past, Apache gets one final moment to say goodbye to his friends and hopefully move on with his life.

-If you audition or accept a role you are committing to doing the lines once and having up to 2 retake sessions. Any after that I will compensate you for.
-I don’t have much money but for VA’s that have stunning talent or give suggestions or whatever that may be for the primary 6 roles I want to try and compensate for any time used on this project. (if you get the role)
-Have a decent microphone, you don’t have to have a studio mic or anything expensive, just don’t record your lines through your iphone earbuds built-in microphone.

Description: Danielle is an accountant with month of paid leave after a recent surgery. She passes this time by playing games until she is able to get up and work again. She genuinely cares for Alice and tries to push her out of her “rut”. She gets annoyed and passive aggressive but never angry with people.
“I didn’t think you guys were still playing this game, I’m kind of glad though, it would have been boring with just me and Alice.”
“Whoah, that’s really cool but… I don’t have an Xbox 360, I wouldn’t be able to play it even if I wanted.”
“I’ve been out of work for 2 and a half weeks. I’m on paid leave so that’s not the problem. But besides my day job I really don’t have anything else going on. I just wake up, play video games, then go to bed. I just feel like I’m wasting my time.” (troubled)

Description: Carver spends his time playing Halo 2 online with Apache, he works part time to support his everyday life and the late night gaming to go with it. He is competitive, aggressive, and impatient. He wants to enjoy as much time as he can on Halo 2 before the servers shut down and any inconvenience or unenjoyable experience multiplies pushing his buttons far more than it would anyone else.

“I’M THE TEAM LEADER. YOU FOLLOW ME SO WE CAN WIN! It’s not like you could do any better with that shit aim I saw earlier. It’s a BR not a fucking machine gun!” (furious)
“They’ve got 2 guys on the mounted machine guns up front, I’m sure they have a sniper too while the rest of them are playing it safe inside the base. So we’ll need a sniper to take out one or both of the machine gunners while we try to get close.”

Description: Alice is working towards a doctorate degree in college and generally sees video games as a waste of time despite how much she played them 3 years prior. She often rolls with whatever is set out in front of her without fighting it or changing it which makes her easily controlled. Which is one reason why she stopped playing games in the first place.
“You know… Back when we played this game almost everyday 3 or 4 years ago. My parents hated it. They saw this as nothing but a waste of time.”
“Yah, everyone else is off doing their own thing. It’s getting pretty boring waiting for everyone to get on.”
“She really just needed someone to play with so she wouldn’t get bored by herself.” (slightly annoyed)

Description: Jason works a construction job to pay the bills for him and his mother who is often in and out of employment. He sold his xbox 3 years ago to help with living expenses, only back on because he’s borrowing one from a friend. He’s cares more about enjoying time with friends and laughing than he does about winning or competition, despite this he gets heated very easily.

Description: Apache is a 21 year old wasting his days away working part time and playing Halo 2 online. 3 years after his previous group of friends moved on with their own personal lives he was left without contact and without direction in his life. Feeling stranded in an online service about to be shut offline he gets a final opportunity to say goodbye to his friends.
“I don’t think that’s true… Anything that you enjoy isn’t a waste of time. Especially in moderation, for me these games are an escape. A few hours a day I don’t have to think about my future or my current situation or rent or whatever. Just a small amount of time each day or each week that I can just laugh with some friends.” (sentimental)

Description: Tyler stopped playing games shortly after college, he found a wife and now has a child. He is the big-brother type of guy, always listening, calm and mature, and pays attention to detail. Despite this he sometimes doesn’t think of the consequences of his actions. When he hears the servers are shutting off he starts up the game again to reminisce on old times.
“Yeah… Life kind of changed… I’m married now.” (little awkward)
“I might head off too, granted the little demon will probably wake me up in a couple hours anyway.”
“I don’t know, like remember when we would just shoot the shit back then? We would just have fun talking, we don’t always need to be shooting each other to have fun.” (nostalgic)

Description: A host for a gaming news site doing one of those roundup videos of the week’s news.
This character only has one line so pitch me whatever you can think of so I can see how the voice works, the longer the better.
When applying for this if you do not make the role I have 3 other extras who only have 1-3 lines each, I may ask you to play the part of the other 3 players.
