Project Information
Please note this project was published on March 11th, not April 18th. I had to republish it due to some errors!
Danganronpa: Future Termination is a Danganronpa fangame set in a new setting with an entirely fresh cast of characters. The game will be created by me, Anomouse, in RPG Maker MV. Although no concrete release date is planned, the plot, the chapter outlines, portions of scripting, art, and soundtracks are finished and many more are pulling through development. Attachments of finished products can be found below, although there isn't much I can make public right now! To be completely transparent, Future Termination will be the first project I am directing entirely by myself, and I too will be learning a lot during this. I've practiced Danganronpa art for about 2 years and am a writer and composer as well, and am going to juggle the majority of the work alongside help with a few friends.
About Future Termination's Plot
For over 30 years, individuals have been tried and tested time after time to assess their Ultimate skill level. For those who are fortunate enough to advance, there is an even larger stake at hand. Every year, the Miss/Mister Ultimate Persona title is given out, which is nearly on par to a national ruler. A series of competitions and challenges are set to motion for all contestants to see who is truly worthy of the position. The whole globe is invested in this, constantly obsessing over who will take home the reward this year. Ever since the blessings of the Ultimate Psychologist, the planet has been in a blissful state under one of their best rulers to date. Now, 14 people have been selected to participate in this year's games. However... Some say the choices are rather strange. After the announcement of the Ultimate Hairstylist, a borderline homeless young adult, being selected, everyone has wondered how true the credibility of the foundation is now. The challenges this year are slightly peculiar as well. Some say, that there's a bigger goal at hand, beyond the election of Mister Ultimate. All of this... is just to change the future of which all 14 are somehow involved in. A future which everyone ceases to exist.
About Voice Acting
There are 16 roles that can currently be auditioned for. All of them have about the same amount of lines per chapter (that is until they die.) The parts which will be voiced are similar to the canon series, where CGs are fully voiced, small dialogue bits during pose changes, and trials also being fully voiced. I may ask for additional lines as well for promotional material such as trailers. These will not be paid since this is just purely for fun. There will be no NSFW besides a few lighthearted (not very heavy at all) jokes, but please make it clear if you are not comfortable with even that. I cannot provide personal advice on your auditions in order to be fair, but if there are any questions or general pointers I can add for everyone auditioning, please feel free to contact me on discord (anomouse#0405) or in the Future Termination discord server which is linked below. I request that you do NOT record with your phone or computer microphone, and although I don't ask you to have a very expensive set up, I am looking for a clear and not muffled audio quality. Auditions will be heavily graded on how your microphone sounds as I am trying to be as professional as possible with this. The amount of time to send lines in will be discussed when casting is complete, but please be able to send them in within a mannerly amount of time! Communication will be done through Discord.
Anything I should know before auditioning?
- There is not much of a voice description in order to provide room for creativity for your auditions! I would like to see how you interpret and portray my characters rather than just copy a reference or such.
- Please attach your Discord below and preferably join the Discord server for more updates. I admit I am not too great with navigating Casting Call Club ;)
- In the case you mispronounce something, it's fine! Don't worry about it too much although I encourage you to research the pronunciations if you have the time
- You can audition as many times as you like. In the case you do not feel satisfied with your current auditions, you can rerecord a new one and either just add that it is a reaudition or contact me on Discord to eliminate it
- Have fun with your auditions! I am so grateful for anyone and everyone who chooses to audition, and I can't wait to hear them all!

Despite his talent, Hiroshi is almost poor, struggling to make ends meet as he tries to build his reputation as the ultimate hairstylist. He grew up in a modest household, and his parents always encouraged him to pursue his dreams, even though they couldn't always afford to support him financially. Despite his kind and gentle nature, Hiroshi is also incredibly ambitious. He is determined to make a name for himself in the hairstyling world, even if it means sacrificing his own personal comfort along the way. He is always seeking out new challenges and opportunities to grow as an artist, whether it's by learning new techniques or taking on difficult clients. At the same time, Hiroshi is also plagued by self-doubt. He worries that he'll never be able to make a real difference in the world, and that his talents will go unrecognized. Despite this, he refuses to give up on his dreams, believing that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
Hiroshi has a high - medium pitch, gentle and soothing voice, with a hint of shyness and a touch of warmth. His voice is often soft-spoken and calm, but he can also speak with conviction and passion. His voice has a slight lilt to it, reflecting his humble upbringing and his desire to connect with others on a personal level. Overall, his voice embodies his compassionate and artistic nature, making him a calming and comforting presence to those around him.

Aki Chieko is the Ultimate Philosopher and is a major support character in the game. Her personality is typically blunt and she does not allow herself to appear vulnerable, despite how silly it may sound. She views everything negatively until proven otherwise causing her to be very introverted. Most of her time is spent inside, reading various writings from those who have inspired her, and even creating her own books on how she has interpreted ethics and human behaviors. Aki’s analysis skills are one of a million and can read anyone like a book.
Aki’s voice should have a medium - high voice. She speaks in a very sophisticated and mature way, yet should not sound older than a very young adult. Her voice is slightly raspy and annoyed most of the time when talking in her neutral way. She is not one for small talk, and only speaks briefly in hopes to get the conversation over with sooner.

Konami Kai had always taken an interest in medicine and curing others. Since she grew up alongside someone with an incurable illness, she vowed to one day, develop an ailment which will absolutely save those in distress. Her dedication to such is admirable, although her own health has been jeopardized. Konami has grown to be quite frail even though she is very young, and lost her once outspoken self. Now, she is nothing more than support for others.
Konami has a medium-high voice. She has a very weak and feeble voice and should not sound very enthusiastic. She is NOT supposed to sound depressed, and should instead have a warm and somewhat motherly feeling to her tone.

Megumi Takeichi is desperate to stay relevant with her target audience. From drastic changes to her looks and even personality, nothing has seemed to work yet. Many people say the way she dresses completely contrasts her music which makes her unappealing, yet she can't seem to accept that criticism. Her fanbase loves her bubbly and optimistic attitude, the way she dresses, and her music which she puts out. Her haters? That's a whole different story.
Megumi should have a medium voice with a hint of whininess to it. She is very animated, playful, and upbeat with a lot of energy. Even when in dire situations (as seen in Audition Line 3) she will not resort to a serious or depressed tone and still will continue to have a very overexaggerated array of emotions.

Emi Sakazume is the cheeriest cheerleader on the block! From falling down to getting back up, the smile on her face only gets brighter. In Emi’s words, the best recipe for success is a positive attitude with a grin to top it off!
Emi has a high voice, but should NOT sound annoying, overbearing, or sassy. Although she is eager at times, it is in a friendly and passionate tone. She always tries to encourage the people around her with a positive voice and is very caring, which should be displayed.

Miyu is a child who somehow ventured her way into the killing game. Looking to be no older than in middle school, her personality gets on the nerves of some of the cast. According to her, she doesn't possess an Ultimate Talent, and certainly hasn't undergone the training for one. She’s just like your average little girl… How she had gotten involved in this is beyond even those involved.
Miyu’s voice is very high and should sound slightly younger than a 13 year old girl. She is very dramatic and chirpy, constantly butting her head into the adult conversations. Her enthusiastic and playful nature should play a part in most lines. However, she is slightly reserved and quiet around people she is not slightly familiar with, but she gets comfortable fast.

Seiji Minami has earned a reputation. Whether it be positive or negative, the whole world has “clowned” him as a sadistic serial killer clown. Seiji originally started off as a children's birthday party clown. Amongst everything, he ended up becoming a scare clown, and a highly rated one at that. Nobody knows if the rumors are true, but if they are, oh boy…
Seiji has a medium - low voice which occasionally peaks up to very high pitched. Seiji sounds completely scrambled and close to insane at times. His personality can completely switch, though, and become emotionless and empty (as seen in Audition Line 2).

Akio Sakazume has a brave face which never wavers, not even in the most dire situations! When fire calls, he puts his own life on the line to save those who may be in trouble. As Akio would say, his life is dedicated to ending the flames plaguing humanity. He seemed to be born with a gift - while others say he simply has a savior complex. His biggest supporter is his own younger sister (See Emi Sakazume), who he promised to protect from what he faces daily.
His voice is low pitched and loud. He's loud in a proud and confident way, but not exactly obnoxious. He isn't screaming, per say, but is trying to be reassuring and authoritative to everyone.

Shiro Iwaki has always been gentle, even with the smallest things. His muscles and size intimidate a handful of people, but he truly is the sweetest thing. His kindness and compassion for nature and the world he lives in compel him to put true effort in the plants and flowers he grows. Shiro is very shy, but feels entirely at home within his community garden which he devotes hours a day to.
Shiro has a low voice, but is not intended to be loud. He speaks very slowly, quietly, and gently. He also has an element of nervousness which constantly lingers, although its appearance differs depending on the occasion. He isn't a stereotypical “soft boy” though, so please try to refrain from that.

Naoto Mori is a nationally renowned entertainer… possibly for the wrong reasons. He practices for hours a day on impressive and jaw dropping tricks, yet is only recognized for his clumsy mess ups on stage! His uncoordinated persona has turned into an entire internet meme, where most of his attention and fans came from. Although he is heavily focused on his craft, it just never seems to work out…
Naoto has a medium pitched voice. It can get a bit shrilly at times when he is worked up or shocked (as seen in Audition Line 2). He sounds awkward at times and even gets whiny occasionally. He tries to sound grand with his voice, but really just backfires and sounds more embarrassing and jokey for him.

Niko Miyagi is a young man with a lean and athletic build, a testament to his years of rigorous training as the Ultimate Swimmer. He is incredibly passionate about his sport, and his dedication to improving himself in the water is second to none. When faced with challenges, Niko may initially hesitate, but he never gives up on his goals and always strives to be the best swimmer he can be.
Niko Miyagi's voice is medium-high (young boy ish) and soft-spoken and gentle, yet carries a sense of determination and focus. Despite his shy nature, there is a sense of quiet strength in his voice that hints at discipline and dedication.

Ayato Fukui is a charming young man to the public. His achievements starting from highschool make him heavily desired and likable. Along with his eye-catching personality, his intelligence levels are to die for. All of his traits are extremely pleasant. Overall, Ayato seems so perfect to those who don't know him, that he seems fake like a robot. However, his personality behind closed doors may be jarring…
Ayato has a medium-high voice which should not sound very deep. His voice is quiet and gentle, yet can be assertive when the time calls for it. He lacks confidence and occasionally lets it slip with his tone, but usually not enough for anyone to catch on. He is very humble and charismatic.
(Serious, but warm) With ill contempt comes punishment, so make sure to keep all ears. My name is Ayato Fukui, the Ultimate Police Officer. Please make sure to steer clear of trouble… I can’t always protect you.

Kaizen has been locked away in prison for 7 years after committing a horrendous crime: thievery. The police gave him parole with the condition that he would honor his title as the Ultimate Thief and use it for the greater good. Kaizen started off with petty thievery, but that only seemed to escalate. Throughout his life locked away, he has endured nearly everything imaginable to man. Now, all he has left is a twisted sense of humor and questionable morals left undiscussed.
Kaizen has a medium voice. After receiving minimal care in prison, he has become slightly weak which is reflected in his voice. He should sound rough and croaky, but not in the way which an elderly person would.

Youyou is a playful and mischievous spirit who takes great pleasure in causing chaos and confusion among her human counterparts. Despite her strange appearance, Youyou possesses a dark and sadistic streak that can be unsettling to those around her. She delights in playing pranks and tricking others, often with exaggerated and animated gestures that add to her unpredictable nature.
Youyou speaks in a high-pitched, almost childlike voice, but her words often carry a sharp edge. She enjoys taunting and teasing others who cross her. She has a very dramatic tone and sounds almost sarcastic.
