WOW!
I never anticipated receiving this much love, interest, and support for Creepy Neighbors III. You all have been extremely kind in your comments, thorough in your auditions, and overall a pleasure to work with. Over the past few weeks, I have been making my way through everyone's submissions. Right now, I have about a 100 more to go through! Words can't express the gratitude I feel, that this many people (almost 450‼️) took the time to lend their voices to this project.
Here's the plan:
As of now, there are about 40 people on my shortlist, and that may increase as I listen to the final batch of auditions. Once that's finalized, I'll try to listen to each role together (all of the Cats, all of the Ryans, and so forth). I'll also test voices together, like Ryan and Bianca, and Cat and Damien. The animatic is almost complete, so I can input voices there as well to see if they fit. After all of that, I hope that we'll have our cast members!
My goal is to finalize lines within 2 weeks of casting. And then, final production will start!
I am sincerely thankful for the hard work and talent that I've seen in this process. For anyone who isn't casted--please do not fret! I've got lots of projects coming up in the future, and I made a spreadsheet of everyone's websites :)
As a final note: I hope that everyone continues to support CNIII throughout its production. This is a solo project and labor of love, and I want you all to love it too! Cat is a bold, cunning 26 year old woman who spent most of her life living in the heart of a major city. After calling off her engagement with Damien, she decided to leave it all behind. She packed up her things, moved to a more suburban area, got a better job, and stopped talking to her two closest friends (Bianca and Ryan). Though it seemed freeing at first, she quickly found herself lonely, isolated, and worst of all, surrounded by all sorts of critters. Spiraling into depression, she hopes to reconnect with her best friends, and feel like herself again. Nothing could get in the way of that…right?
Likes: Metal music, romance novels, sweets, drawing, candles
Dislikes: Wild animals, dolls, coffee, debating, waking up early
“I didn’t want to put you guys in that position. Especially B. I mean, how could I ask for her support when I just dumped her brother?”
“Ugh, I hate this place. If it’s not the animals, it’s the people.”
Hurried, Fearful Running Sounds
B is a bubbly 27 year old woman who spends most of her time with her three favorite people: her best friend Cat, her husband Ryan, and her younger brother, Damien. Her best friend, Cat, was engaged to Damien for 2 years, and in that time, it felt as if all her wishes were coming true. She and Cat had always felt like sisters, but now, they would really be sisters. However, years of wedding prep and excitement come to a screeching halt when Cat suddenly calls off the engagement and disappears. Bianca feels incredibly betrayed. Mostly because she’d hoped that Cat would at least speak to her about it.
Likes: Dancing, owls, gardening, crafts, playing the piano, cars
Dislikes: Cold light, summertime, cheese, action movies, jorts
(in tears, laughing) “So it takes a wild animal to get you to apologize? I’ll keep that in mind for next time.”
(happily) “Nope! You’re right on time. Annnnd I got us a treat!”
(annoyed/frustrated) “To…Bianca. She used my full name. Must be really sorry.”
Ryan is a 29 year old man who lives in the city with his wife, Bianca. He’s adventurous, wacky, and the life of the party. He has a large group of acquaintances, but very few close friends. When it comes to his family and close friends, he’s surprisingly private. His best friends were Bianca and Cat, and he eventually fell in love with and married the former. He’s relatively close with Bianca’s younger brother, Damien, but finds him to be a bit childish for a 26 year old. After Cat’s disappearance, Ryan struggled with the fallout, helping Bianca to cancel wedding plans, consoling both B and Damien, and dealing with his own hurt. He relied on B to help keep him grounded.
Likes: Travel, collectibles, cooking, volunteering, board games
Dislikes: Hard conversations, plushies, beaches, museums, horses
(humorously) “Well yeah, but Damien is an ass. Everyone knows that, B included.”
“You know, I’m actually gonna pick her up in like 10 minutes. If you really want to start fixing things...maybe…you should give it to her yourself.”
(laughing) “You know the way to my heart, baby.”
Damien is a 26 year old man who strives to live life to the fullest. Everything should be as cool as possible, feel as cool as possible. And Cat was cool , she loved to go to rock concerts, go on adventures, ride his motorcycle, and most of all, she thought that he was cool. But one day, it seemed like being cool wasn’t enough. She started to complain about the future, and stability, and all of these other boring things. Eventually, they both agreed to tell Ryan and Bianca that they were splitting, but days later, Cat packed up everything she owned and simply left. Not. Cool.

Dislikes: Cooking, cocktails, small cars, sweets, insects
“Cat? Dude what the hell? I could’ve hit you!”
