Introduction
Hello there. Welcome to the casting call for Crazy Love. Voice actors casting for main roles will be instructed to read selected lines chosen by us for them to read. Those who aren’t casting for the main role but whose voice fits the tone of the show will be suggested to provide 5 lines of their choosing for a supporting character. All roles must be comfortable with doing expressions that are well diverse and dynamic, but also voices that are serious and have raw emotion. For each main role, we’ll be paying up to $10 for each line of the project and there are between 100-300 lines for the script. All projects will be made through PayPal. Each voice actor will be properly credited in the credits of each episode of the show using their real names (preferred names will be used if the actor should decide not to use their real name).
Crazy Love Description
Crazy Love is an action/comedy/adventure about Oscar, a cartoonist trapped in a world of uniqueness after gaining a coma from a falling truck. There, he meets up with two of his friends, Scarletta, and Birdenstein. Their goal is to protect the aggressive school girls from consuming dangerous propaganda about the Corpora Company and the eventual threat of a giant monster destroying the school by freezing them and storing them in the party shelter.
Deadlines and Auditions
The deadline for auditions is August 4, 2022. There will be plans to extend the deadline if not enough people are able to audition before the deadline. We will decide and notify voice actors who have been cast the next day. There is no deadline for the voice acting in the actual show, however. Just do it in a reasonable amount of time.
What To Expect
Expect to be greeted kindly by Sam Snuggs (the owner of Laugh Box Studios) and the rest of the crew. At this point, you’ll be a part of the LBS family where you’ll meet with different animators, writers, voice actors, and other staff. Do keep in mind that we primarily communicate through Discord. If you are unfamiliar with the application, you can still audition. It’s not required. However, if you want to contact us about the show itself, it’s strongly recommended that you have an account on hand so you can collaborate with fellow voice actors and ask more questions about the project as a whole.
What We Ask Of You
Have fun with the characters. We love to bring out the talent and see how they portray their acting skills. However, all of that doesn’t mean much when the actor isn’t bringing emotion to the table.
Submit clean recordings on prosumer mics. We really don’t want much background noise during your audition. Noise reduction is fine, but too much clean-up can reduce the quality of the audition.
Feel free to cut your lines into your favorite takes. We mainly have 5 as a golden standard, but don’t be afraid to ask for more.
Submit your recordings as separate files for each sentence you do to our studio email address which will be provided to you after the audition or casting.
Since we are planning on three seasons of Crazy Love, we’d like to cast people who will be sticking with us for a while. Generally to make sure that the voices stay consistent and the acting isn’t all that drastic.
