Crazy Comix USA Pilot Auditions
Project Overview
Hello, everybody! A few friends and I have started production on a Pilot for a brand new series, Crazy Comix USA! It's a lighthearted and family friendly animatic series focusing around a group of 7 nerds who work at a comic shop in Hawaii. The characters are based off of real friends of mine, and the series takes place in the same universe as my previous Pilot and future series, Nik & Trevor! (Watch it here to see what CCUSA will look like:)
I look forward to hear everyone's take on the characters, and please be dedicated to working with us as this will certainly take a while to produce and finish. Can't wait!

Anderson is an employee at the shop, and is a kind and caring friend. He can be the calm person and voice of reason for the group. He is confident, silly, and incredibly impressionable. His voice should have a wide range of moods and I'm sure many types of voices can work!!
(Normal) I don't know, rookie. Working in the lines of the comic industry is a cutthroat job. I've been here for a!most 3 years and I still haven't even gotten a raise!! It's best to just keep a low profile for now, what do you think, Marshy?
(Inquisitive) Aww, look at the little guy! It says here that he's a... "Sugar Glider"... Huh... They're from Australia, and they're illegal here? That's weird... How did this little cutie get here?
(Crying) I just thought that maybe finally for once in my life somebody wanted to get to know me... I didn't even get her name... She could've said she thought I was stupid! Ugh, this always happens...
Marshy is the biggest comedic relief of the gang, he's the definition of a real life internet troll, always butting in with stupid one liners and the like. But deep down, he has a heart of gold and is caring for his friends when the situation is serious.
Dude, I could be gaming. Why do you guys gotta stress out about Jr or whatever when you can just... Not do that, and live stress freeeee. I mean, I got some Cheezie-Pops if you dudes wanna share.
(Serious) My... Real name is Anthony. I just never was really comfortable with telling people. But... Even though it's gonna sound cheesy, you guys are my only real family at this point... I love you guys... *sniff* heh...
Hey there, dudio, why do you gotta stress out about that little Gus-err, guy... And take a seat while Nik, Brando and I give you a relaxing look at the history of Stag Beetle Man! (Don't worry, guys, this is a great torture method!)
Brando is Marshy's partner in crime, he has a pretty similar personality, but the difference is that Brando can be serious more often than Marshy, and doesn't troll as much, though it is still often. Not only is he Marshy's best friend, but him and Anderson also go back pretty far.
Bro, bro! Just let Marshy go get the pizza. This happens every three weeks or so, so it's best to just let him lay for a while... Hey, Nik, go grab the pizza, it's in Marshy's arms.
Alright guys, here's the game plan. Anderson? Keep the glider in your hair. Nik? You just... Keep bringing boxes in, rookie. Marshy? You and I will go and keep Jr distracted, he'll never know about Gus! Stick together, team!
H-hey there boss! We were just um... Combing Anderson's hair? Look at this mattes! Nik, go get the brush. Marshy? Get the gel. Yeah certainly no animal in there or anything!
Junior is the owner and manager of Crazy Comix USA, his shop. A Hawaii native, he runs the location and tries to make sure that his employees aren't acting too out of line. Even though there are moments when he can be strict, he usually accompanies the guys for fun misadventures, and he truly cares about them.
All I hear from up hear is constant chattering... Why aren't you four working? And there better be a good reason, or else the door is right that way, guys... Actually... Nevermind, I can't afford to fire you guys, we're so understaffed.
Yeah, sooner or later we'll have to close the shop. I just can't afford to keep it open is all, not to mention we have so many valuables that could risk being stolen by someone if SOME of you guys are in the break room playing Smash.
(Sentimental) Hey, Anderson... Thank you... I-I really appreciate this, all of you guys. You're the only family I have left, after all... So thanks a lot. Though, I do wonder, why do you have that thing in your hair?
Meggi is the super ecstatic gal pal of the gang.She's a regular at the shop, though she may as well be an employee with how often she's there. She even provides the shop with A "security system" (Water guns). There's so much to love about her!
Hey hey HEY now! I don't recognize you, are you new? Oh! You must be that new rookie that Anderson told me about! Hehe, it's great to meet you my dude! I'm Meggi, but you can just call me Meg if you want!
Oh my gosh! What a cutie patootie!! This little guy is ADORABLE. Have you guys thought of anything to name him? I'm thinking Pickles, Puddles, Rainbow, Frank...hm? Oh, Gus? Aw, what a cute name! Hi there little fella!
(Serious) I'm... Sorry. I just know how hard it is to want to hide an important part of yourself Anderson... Never wanting to talk, always thinking things'll get better but not actually saying anything... I'm here to tell you to never keep anything hidden, please, if you need anything, I'm here to talk to.
*NOTE: It is recommended that the person auditioning is fluent in both English and Spanish
Christian is another regular at the store. He's a huge weeb and manga fan, and is usually a hermit in that area of the shop. But he's always willing to tag along with the workers for some wacky fun, and he has a super supportive and sweet personality! Just like his IRL counterpart, Christian is of Hispanic heritage. So, while it's not required, people with Hispanic heritage are certainly preferred.
Hey, Marshy. You know why I'm here, GIMME THE GOODS ALREADY!! I've been waiting for the new volume to come for like a month, after Arthur was left to die, I gotta read more already!
(Shocked) W-wha!? I wouldn't rob you guys!! Frankly, I'm insulted by the insinuation to begin with! C'mon, Anderson, you've known me since you moved here! Would I really do that? What about you, Brando? Do you actually think I'd try to hurt the business when it's already struggling?
Says you! I've been working on a manga of my own, it's about a super buff dude that goes on an adventure in the middle east. Though to be fair, people keep saying it sounds similar to another manga. Phooey! Those haters just wanna watch me fail, just you wait and see! Before you know it, you'll see in downtown Manhattan in big lights, "Christian Salazar: Book Signing"! I'll be an international celebrity, I know it!
