Project Overview
Blue Blood: Danganronpa is a fanmade project based on the Danganronpa series. It features an original plot with original characters and there's no need for prior knowledge of the canon series. This story follows a woman named Sylvia Stewart as she's forced into a life or death situation with several others. The deadline is months from now as I wish to give time for many people to apply, so don't feel under pressure to apply instantly. Sylvia is the protagonist of this project and thus I'm going to be incredibly picky when it comes to choosing her. Sylvia speaks with a transatlantic accent and heavily enunciates her words. I also need Sylvia's VA to have a ride range and the ability to be able to talk for a long time without stopping. "Dear, I honestly find this entire thing difficult to believe, you can't pull the wool over these eyes I can tell you that much."
"Well I find it completely obvious you're the murderer, we've been here discussing this terrible thing for ages but no more discussing, I'm ready to lay this thing to rest."
Ruby as a character should be somewhat high energy, she's a conversationalist and for the most part easily gets along with people, she heavily dislikes when someone devalues her talent and that only entices her to further try and convince them otherwise.
"Ruby Reynolds, I'm the Ultimate Occultist... I promise it's a real occupation."
"Hey you never know what exists, as long as it's not 100% disproven there's at least a small chance of it being somewhere in the world."
"Now I'm not entirely sure I like your tone, now explain your reasoning more calmly before we all jump up and shout you're the killer."
Veronica is incredibly high energy and seems partially stuck in her own bubble. She has a very tomboy voice but also holds a lot of natural charisma which she uses to turn up the charm when she needs to. She has a slightly immature sense of humor and never hides how she feels at any given moment, she seems to always be thinking about her next picture and can turn even the most basic topic into a big idea.
"Veronica Tyler, but please call me Vicky T, Ultimate Director, but I'm sure you've heard of me."
"How am I supposed to deny when a woman looks beautiful, when I see a pretty face I just have to say... "Do you want to be in my next movie?""
"This is really playing out like a movie now, is this the part where we realize the person we thought it was the whole time is actually innocent and it turns out it's the most unlikely person?"
Marigold is a typical nerdy but hyperactive girl with a fairly heavy lisp from her braces, she's often energetic even when discussing morbid topics or themes. She's of Chinese origin although the accent isn't required as she's lived in America most her life but it would help (though please don't put on an accent as this may come off as offensive if not done correctly).
"Ohhhhh I planned a whole introduction for this... Marigold Siwang, I'm here to be inducted as the Ultimate Coroner, I hope you can help me get to my goals."
"You'd actually be very surprised at how slowly a body can decompose, underneath the right conditions you can make a corpse takes years to fully become a skeleton, pretty cool isn't?"
"Oh this is so much more exciting than the cases back home, I didn't even have to cut open a person to get to the big answers!"
Edith, being older, sounds incredibly mature. She needs to have a no nonsense tone to her that makes it clear she won't take anything. Edith needs a voice that commands the room, she needs to sound refined and will never shout, even when angered. Edith is 62 and needs to sound around that age.
"Pleased to make your acquaintance, I'm Edith Edwards, the still continuing Ultimate Scout, but please don't feel nervous around me."
"Remember, there's an I in stupid, so make sure to at least try to work with the rest of us here."
"To think, in all my years on this Earth I have never seen such savagery, I could've never dreamed that you'd do something like this. You've betrayed all of us here."
Michele sounds very "girl next door" and is shy and reserved in how she speaks. I want to avoid major nerd stereotypes with her so I don't want any stuttering with her. Optionally she could be given a small country accent, but if you attempt this don't go full country.
"Michele, Michele Crane, Ultimate Librarian. I know it can come off as a slightly boring talent, but it's mine."
"Yes, I know my mother is the Ultimate Scout and she's seen the world several times over, but I'm happy just to have my little library."
"We have to be getting close to an answer now don't we, we've been discussing this for so long, there just has to be an answer somewhere, right?"
Sam needs to be high energy, she's constantly positive and mostly girly sounding. She's very ditzy which can lead to her not really understanding a lot of conversations even though she really tries to.
"Oh my full name is Samantha, but I just like to go by Sam, Sam Fletcher, I'm Ultimate Cricket Player. I bet you'd never realize you'd see a big cricket player in America, but here I am."
"What's the point in doing sports if you can't do something new and exciting with it, nothing I say, and that's what put me on the path I am now!"
"I'm not gonna pretend I understood everything that was just said, but we've solved this now, right, unless there's even more I'm missing."
Betty is an incredibly frightening and intimidating person, in addition she also sounds seductive. Betty also needs to sound perpetually done with everyone. Whoever voices Betty will also need to be very okay with cussing.
"Betty Mason, Ultimate Dentist, that's all you need to know about me... unless you want me to check you in for an appointment." (laugh)
"Listen, I go in, do my job, and then leave, nothing else to it. Now I believe you were just leaving, my tools have a tendency to get really annoyed with those who annoy me."
"Open Wiiiiiiide.""Well fuck this honestly, we've wasted all this time discussing menial points that end up meaning absolutely nothing, I'm gonna blame you for this one blondie, meet me in my office once the trial ends."
Bonnie is a prime southern belle and speaks in a lightly exaggerated southern voice and uses many turns of phrase in her speech and seems to always have a compliment for herself and seems to be in her own bubble 100% of the time.
"Well, hey there sugar, my name is Bonnie Abernathy, please call me the Ultimate Prom Queen... okay I guess you have to call me the Ultimate Pageant Queen, but the first title sounds so much nicer doesn't it."
"See I remember my daddy always being the best and mama too, she even had my talent before me so it really was just written from the start that I would get it eventually."
"We've been at this little trial for so long, pretty people like me aren't me supposed to think so much, can't we just leave now?"
Charlotte speaks with a somewhat deep voice that lends itself to an intimidating air. Charlotte is wildly confident woman who refuses to let anyone put her down in any form. Given her talent she's also wildly creative and is constantly carrying around a sketch journal for new designs as they enter her head.
"I'm sure you know me, Charlotte Fox, Fashion Designer, unless you want to discuss business try to not waste time."
"Believe it or not, you've actually given me some inspiration, stand there for a moment... No, you absolutely can't move at all, now just stand there in that really uncomfortable position."
"You all really wish to run off on your little flights of fancy, I hope you've noticed we're just letting the killer run away with this, we really do need some better ideas around here."
Morgan is mildly dramatic individual and given the fact he wears any clothing he wants, Morgan is able to feminize his voice and I want whoever voices him to be able to hold a tone in both ranges.
"Morgan Fox, the pleasure's all mine, Ultimate Model, but I'm sure you could guess that with one glance." (Male)
"Look at my hair, look at my makeup, and you'll understand everything about how I got to where I am today." (Feminine)
"With the spotlight on you I'd honestly hope you'd put up more of a fight, but I don't think we're gonna get that." (Any)
Zachary speaks with a very Boston accent and also holds a grizzled flair befitting of someone who's been in the business as long as he has. Zachary can switch from calm to serious, largely depending on the situation.
"Zachary Palmer, I'm the Ultimate Bailiff, I'm glad we can meet here and not in court."
"I'll have you know a bailiff is just as important as all those lawyers and judges, we just don't get as mentioned as much."
"Alright everyone, this is very different from most courts I've seen in the past, but that doesn't mean we can't have some form of order, now does it?"
Roger has a very boyish quality to his voice. Roger also requires a lot of range in his emotions since he's one of the more openly emotional people in the cast. He also, at times, can ramble which requires the person voicing him to be able to talk fast.
"Hey Starlight how are you, I'm Roger, Roger Armstrong but not that Armstrong.... Oh but I am an astronomer, funny how things work out right?"
"I mean it's not a bad thing to be afraid, it's a very human emotion and everyone feels it, you know. So now since all our lives are in the danger it's very easy to get afraid and feel like the whole world is just about to come crashing down on you... but I'm sure we're all going to be just okay..."
"Come on come on, I really don't want to just pick a name out of the hat, but also it's really difficult to say who did it, you really think you know someone and then something like this happens."
Alvin speaks with a British cockney accent, which heavily consists of shortening worlds and dropping H’s from any conversation. Alvin also drops a lot of Cockney slang into his speech, using such terms as “could you Adam and Eve it.” Alvin clearly enjoys his work and enjoys confusing others into saying things he can use in his next article. Despite how he looks, Alvin's also 34 and smokes, so he shouldn't sound like a child.
Alvin fisher, Paparazzi by trade. You know gotta make bee's and honey somehow and I know how to make the most boring story a sensation, pleasure to make your acquaintance, Sylvia.
"Oh it's just terrible isn't it, I really think you should talk to someone, let me grab my notebook and I can be that person you talk to."
"This is really going to make some great material, it's gonna keep me fed for months now, now tell me again how you viciously killed them without remorse, I need to write it all down for the public."
Cecil needs to be a loud individual, he's a showman and needs to show that off in his speech. He needs energy, picture a circus ringleader, Cecil needs that energy, he's very bold with how he speaks.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, well, just lady at the moment, Cecil Baxter, the current head and ringleader of the Baxter family circus, but I'm seen as the Ultimate Contortionist, which means I can get realllly bendy."
"We do it all Sylvia... Heyyyyyyy, once we get out of here you need to come to one of the shows, I'll even get ya to front row, a lion will roar right in front of your face then, isn't that cool!"
"Well if you think about it, this whole trial is really just a big circus act and the culprit is the one acting it out, but I'm not sure that thought actually gets us closer to whoever the culprit is, well we know at least that they're a clown."
Thomas is a curmudgeonly gentleman who clearly has many issues with others in the group. He's 53 so like Edith he has to sound around that age and should also sound mature and refined in his speech patterns.
"It seems you don't wish to leave, fine, I'm Thomas Poole, the Ultimate Soloist. Now please go, you're hurting my ears."
"Forgive me if I struggle to listen to someone such as yourself, but I find it difficult to find the point you're trying to make."
"I should highly suggest we turn our attention to other points, we're not exactly making good time here."
Lucas speaks with very little emotion, sounds somewhat tired, and is incredibly untalkative. When Lucas does speak it's in short bursts and never speaks for long, but it doesn't appear this is on purpose. In conversation Lucas will sometimes have to be prompted by a response from the person talking to him.
"Oh... I'm Lucas... I make wax sculptur-wait... I never said my last name, Hale, Lucas Hale."
"It's not that difficult... I just sit in a studio and move my hands for a few hours, but I guess I'm good at it."
"Umm... I think what I said was correct... I just said the first thing I thought of... I don't know, it just feels right to me."
Kenneth is a deadpan individual. He's incredibly snarky and sarcastic and very quick to burst someone's bubble. He has none of the wonder that comes with being a psychic and it's clear his heart isn't very in it anymore. Optionally he can have a Mexican accent but please don't try to put on one if you don't have Mexican heritage.
"I hate getting asked so I'll just say it, I'm Kenny Marsh, still the Ultimate Psychic... somehow."
"Oh I think I can see into your future... I definitely see... that you're far too gullible if you believe this."
"You don't have to be psychic to see we're really going down the wrong path now, can we stop acting like chicken's without their heads already."
The Duchess is the mascot of the killing game and needs to sound very intimidating in how she speaks. The Duchess considers herself the queen of the killing game location, with the characters serving as her loyal court, but she also worries about traitors which can cause her to take on a much sinister tone. In general she needs a very regal voice with plenty of refinement. Despite her regal status, when things don't go her way she can become very bratty and like a child.
"Welcome, welcome, I'm The Duchess, and you're all here to serve on my court. Isn't that just so wonderful?"
"When I think there's people in my court who wish to betray all of us I go crazy, and when I find a traitor I send them promptly to their grave, where all manner of worms belong."
"You broke the sacred pact, you betrayed the court for your selfish wiles and sent one of my loyal court to the grave, for that, I sentence you to death, may you rot!"
