Setting: In a sprawling future metropolis called The Strata, society has continued to segregate between the classes. The wealthy live in Highgate City, a place full of dazzling skyscrapers and creature comforts. Organic body augmentations that allow citizens to extend their life for hundreds of years have become commonplace. At the other end of the spectrum lies Dockerton, a slum area filled with crime, drugs and poverty. Disease is rampant and basic facilities are almost non-existent. There are many checkpoints maintained by police that help to keep the city segregated, and most citizens don’t bother straying from their own neighbourhood.
Disclaimer / Content Warning: This project contains mild profanity and some portrayals of violence (gunplay, drug use).

**Curran features in two separate seasons with both a major ($50) and minor ($25) role, total $75.
Curran is an optimistic and somewhat naive young man who has spent his life growing up in small outpost communities in the Deadlands. Curran and his best friend Emily work at a small coastal outpost called Greywater, where they spend their time repairing boats and other vehicles that pull into port. Curran has never seen a sprawling metropolis like The Strata in his life and is not familiar with the kind of people who live in the city. His life has been insular in this remote region and most of the things he knows about the world beyond the Deadlands have been learned through Emily. He shares a strong bond with Emily and views their relationship as the most important thing in his life. The two of them are very comfortable with each other and often joke and tease good-naturedly. However, Curran feels stuck in his situation and dreams of escaping from the mind-numbing routine of Greywater. He would like nothing more than to travel far from home with Emily at his side as they discover the universe together.
Voice is medium pitch.
(Trying to entice Emily into sneaking off to take a break so they can enjoy a rare treat - some Stone Island whiskey, which is considered a luxury in their part of the world - playful) “Ten minutes, okay? Let’s take a walk up the bluff and enjoy the view... and some ‘nectar of the gods’. Listen... Stone Island is calling your name...”
(Putting forward an idea about leaving home and going on an adventure to faraway worlds - insistent, wistful) “Look, how many nights have we sat up there on the bluff, wishing for just a glimpse of the stars? For a chance to dream of another life. And now we have an opportunity to go there. To actually be a part of it. How can you possibly pass that up?”
(His first time in a fancy bar with exotic drinks - excited by the new experience, enthusiastic) “I mean... this bar is crazy. You can order every single cocktail in the universal database... like... over twelve-thousand combinations.”
Venter runs a workshop in the slum area of Dockerton where he carries out repairs on various mechanical tools and gadgets. Most of his clientele are poor and his margins are very tight, so Venter has to run his business accordingly. He is a hustler who is always looking for a deal and doesn't mind tricking or lying to his suppliers if it will help him to get parts more cheaply. His voice is somewhat gruff and he has a prickly demeanour most of the time.
Voice is medium to low pitch.
(Trying to insinuate that his trading partner’s judgement has slipped as he attempts to hustle for a better deal) “You must be due for another eyeball replacement, my friend. You’re seeing things.”
(Placating as he tries to smooth things over with an infuriated trading partner) “Look, big guy... don’t get the wrong idea. I love your work. But I can’t afford you getting sloppy on me.”
(Complaining about a part being scratched) “There. See those scratches? Looks like you were dry humping it with that metal rig of yours or something.”
Tenadii is a helpful and concerned citizen who lives in Dockerton. As part of the local neighbourhood, he is friends with both Ximena and Rust and often helps other people in the community. He is well respected in the area and has a calming and influence on those around him.
(Concerned as he discusses gang activity in the local neighbourhood) “The Platt crew? I thought they got wiped out by Brennan. Do you think they’re back?”
(Providing an eyewitness account after being asked what he saw at a violent incident on the street) “Not me, I was inside. Heard a noise like thunder out on the street, and by the time I got out here, it was over. But I asked around - a couple of people said they saw a machine, and someone else said there was a black truck or a van parked here.”
(Somewhat breathless in a dangerous situation) “Rust, what’s going on?”
Billy is part of an angry mob who has gathered on the streets of Dockerton. Over the past few days he has been at the mercy of a terrorist who has been creating carnage in his neighbourhood. Now the terrorist has been captured and brought before the mob. Billy and the others seek to dole out their own form of justice.
Voice is medium pitch.
