Ascension: Original Animation Pilot
Project Overview
Ascension is a coming of age story that follows the young Prince Aurelion of Astieri. Along the way he makes many friends and a few enemies. Torn between what's always been and what should be, he tries to forge his own path through the world around him and prove himself worthy as the King of Astieri in his brother's place.
FAQ
How long will this project last?
First and foremost I want to see if the pilot takes off. If it does, you'll have to be committed until the project series finishes it's run. I'm not sure how long that will be, but new things are being written and added every day, so it may be quite awhile.
What are the deadlines going to be?
Deadlines for each recording will be set individually. Things like advertisements will be the ones with the least time and trailers will get a bit more time, as they'll be flexible. Official episodes will have the strictest deadlines and will need to be in as they are needed.
Are live auditions available?
Certainly! They can be done at the discord which will be provided below!

Emery von Flae is of a rare species known as the Tafric [tah-freak]. He is the son of his village's chieftain, though he doesn't take his job as successor all that seriously. He's generally bubbly and very sweet, though to dissuade people he tends to act rather creepy to keep them away. He joins the young prince on his mission because he wishes to pursue equality for his people, rather than watch them be attacked and driven to extinction simply because of what they are. His voice should reflect his bubbly nature but have a hint of the terrifying which comes with being a Tafric.
"Emery von Flae! Tafric and general merry maker at your service! What's that look for...? Do I have something in my teeth? Did I get dirt on my intestines?"
"A cutesy little girl like you shouldn't be alone here in these woods...there are so many different monsters ready to just...snatch your head off your shoulders!" [menacing and quiet, purposefully creepy]
"I didn't /ask/ to be like this! To be a monster! If I could've picked I would've been human, like you. But I didn't /get/ to choose..." [angry at first, eventually more depressed than anything]
Archades Leville is, or Leville for short, is the only male member of the Circle of Eternity in Astieri. He hails from Takniare alongside his young brother, though his heart seems to belong to the country of his circle. He's rather smooth and suave unless he's angry and his voice should have a Boston accent.
"Hey shit face! You wanna watch what the fuck you're doing before I come down there and shove my spell book so far down your throat you'll be shitting out magic for a month?"
"Well if it ain't my sweet boy Desi. Been awhile since we seen each other. You're still lookin' pretty cute."
"I may be just some witch from Takniare, but even I know that people aren't just fuckin' toys. You're disgusting! It's no wonder the de Vintes weren't gonna leave that damn throne to you!"
Desdemona Virem, or Desi for short it the young son of Sebastian Virem and Amelia Mintok. Growing up a slave to his father, he ran off with Leville's help and learned magic. His voice should be soft and sweet, male or female is alright for this role since he's a type of shota.
"My n-name is...Desdemona...? I'm h-here to help you...um...i-i-if you need my help that is."
"L-Leville! It's so good to s-see you again! You're s-still looking...h-h-healthy!"
"They...h-hurt my lord...well then, we'll just see how they like dealing with me, now, won't we?"
Lady de Winter is a member of the Circle of Eternity and a former assassin by trade. Most things she says don't make much sense as she's out of her head more than one would want to admit. Her voice should be high pitched and/or child like to show how her head works.
"The Princey had us do a dirty deed once! Not this Princey, mind you. Itzy bitzy 'Relion is sweet as can be!"
"You don't gets to know our name you silly little creature. It's a secret secret. You can only call us Lady de Winter! With the big bright Circle of Eternity!"
"No that's not fair! You can't talk to the bitty little 'Relion like that! He's next in line for that big chair in the Lanister castle, he is! Don't talk to him like that!"
Lord Sebastian Virem is a family friend of the royal family with a son whom he treats like a slave since the death of his wife. He should have a voice that makes people uneasy and is even rather creepy.
"Young Aurelion...my how you've grown. You're going to make a fine prince...and a lovely king at that."
"It seems my disgusting servant has escaped me. My apologies, I'll see to it he's found at once!"
The younger brother of Queen Serana de Vinte in Astieri, Luka is the reigning King of Takniare ever since the death of his parents. Rumors fly that he's the reason behind his parents death, but such things are merely that, rumors. His voice should be authoritative, but soft when need be. Usually it's only softer and kinder when speaking to the lead of his Circle, Cerys.
"Cease your petty squabble and leave my chambers at once, you imbeciles."
"My dear Cerys...do be careful fetching that silly little prince...he's extremely dangerous, but important to us."
"My dear nephew! How wonderful to see you...and you brought...friends... I'm disappointed, I must say. I thought you'd play by our rules."
The younger sister of Emery, she's rather impressionable and tends to do whatever he asks of her. She wants to be just like him someday, even if for now she is a bit frightened of the human world around her. Her voice should be sweet and childlike, innocent.
"Whoa! Big brother that's so cool! Do it again, won't you? I wanna see it one more time!"
"M-my name is Cinder...are you a friend of my big brother? He isn't here...you need to g-go away or I'll get Mama and Papa to scare you off!"
Right hand to king Luka, Cerys is of the abundant species Felynius, native to the country of Katarine. Like others of her species she has the ability to transform from cat to human in a matter of seconds along with dark magic that no other has studied before. Others outside of Takniare refer to her as a force to be reckoned with, and for good reason. It's said that anyone who crosses the fatal feline or her liege is never seen again. She should speak with a sort of purr or any inflection of her cat like nature.
"Cerys Cheshyr at your service, it's a pleasure to meet you my dears. The king has been awaiting your arrival." [slightly menacing and almost omnipotent]
"Oh, dear me. It seems I forget to make the young master his tea...I'll leave you here for but a moment. Don't touch anything. You'll regret it." [sweet and feigning innocence, even her threat is spoken with a silver tongue]
"Now, now children...touching the young king is- well, I simply won't allow it. I'm afraid I'll have to punish you...immediately."
