Project Overview

"The Anti Vampire" is a fully 2d animated short film about a cheerful vampire who likes sunlight, has a wooden stake collection, and donates blood (among other things), trying to finish his science fair project while being hunted by a vampire hunter!   

This is my third year student film at SVA (the School of Visual Arts). You can read more about  me in my bio section!! 

I'm looking for reliable, passionate people to help make my concept a reality. I'm looking for people passionate about voice acting- and willing to be hired or contacted again should I do more with this concept later on. ;) But for now- i'm looking for voice actors for 3 of my characters.

This film will be completed around may and will eventually be posted to my youtube, and possibly to film festivals. 

Voice actors must have high quality mics capable of recording dry audio and a discord or instagram where they can be contacted.

  • DEADLINE EXTENDED!!

    Thank you all SOO much for the super positive response to my film!! It’s so so cool seeing everyone’s auditions!! Helen Van Sing has been chosen!! I’ve also decided to extend the deadline by a few more days now. I haven’t found a Venjamin or Azathoth that fit the idea in my head yet..... although i do have a list of people who came close (who i may hire especially if i’m running out of time, i have to start animating soon!!) Anyways, if you want to retry your audition, I totally welcome you to!! One of the issues im struggling with right now is that i think most people are going a bit too old.. i’m definitely going for more of a young teen boy vibe, actually even moreso with Azathoth because I picture him to be like a just angsty .. moody .. teen. He’s less snooty and moreso grumpy. I kind of have Venjamin set so i’m trying to find an azathoth that fits together with his voice properly and snuggly. im sorry for talking so much, idek if thats normal for update posts here ( since ive neverr used casting call club before ! ) Thanks again to everyone for the wonderful support!! Venjamin is an excitable, high energy vampire who loves anything cute, fashionable, and fun! 

For his voice,  here are some traits i'd imagine: 

A sing-song teen boy voice, slightly annoying but not TOO annoying. Something like pinkie pie, but a boy and slightly lower. 

I'm open to hear your interpretations. I have been considering a slight lisp but im unsure!! 

  • What a beautiful day! 

  • That kind of interrupts my bonding time with my Best Science Fair Project Partner Friend for Life. (sinister, almost creepy) 

  • Some of my best ideas come to me when im exhausted.

Azathoth is the science fair project partner of Venjamin. He is the opposite to Venjamin- where venjamin is cheerful and optimistic, Azathoth is grumpy, pessimistic, and irritable. 

For his voice, I was picturing something like the main character of Dan VS, or a voice kind of like how people used to portray karkat back in the days of homestuck comic readings.

I do see Azathoth as a young teen, though, so a grumpy awkward teen british boi may work too.

Ideally I am also looking for a british accent. 

  • So are we going to work on our science fair project or what?

Helen Van Sing is a vampire hunter set on killing Venjamin and Azathoth while they are working on their science fair project. 

Helen is a middle aged foxy vampire huntress woman who is quick to anger. 

A voice i'm looking for is somewhat of a middle aged woman, slightly husky / sexy but capable of sounding very angry.

She only has 1 or 2 lines, so i'm also looking for multiple noises like laughs, groans, grunting, "hmms", etc.

  • Dumb vampires always leaving their damn windows open.
