Age of the Ring: Rhun
Project Overview
Age of the Ring is a highly acclaimed videogame mod for Battle for Middle Earth 2, The Rise of the Witch King. Consistently in the Top Mods section of Moddb and winner of Mod of the Year in 2020, this game expands all of the vanilla factions plus new ones with revamped art, abilities, voices, maps, and even a whole new Campaign based on the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
As part of our upcoming 8.0 release, one of the most anticipated features will be the Adventure: Rhun map. Exploring the far East of Tolkien's Middle-Earth, original characters inspired by the text will populate this special game mode. Original characters need original voices, so that's where you come in! Please read the character descriptions and pay careful attention to the Accents. We look forward to hearing your auditions!

Mood: Khren-tak is a fierce, deep-voiced brawler. He is clad in heavy plate armour, wielding a large mace and massive shield. He is a legendary Dragon Knight, supposedly having slain one hundred enemies during a previous campaign, and commands those Dragon Knights that have enlisted in the Rhûnic legions that have marched to Mordor.
Accent: Vaguely exotic - Eastern, but not Middle-eastern. Rhûn is analogous to the Eastern Steppe/Mongolia and Asia. The tongues of Rhûn were said to sound ‘harsh’ to those that did not know them, so his voice should reflect that. Harsh voiceless fricatives, rolling R’s, with little sense of melody.- male adult
The blood of the Dragon courses through my veins.
What tales have you heard? All are true.
(in the midst of combat): I have slain greater foes!
Mood: Razari is a witch, commanding dark magic. One of the last remnants of the Balchoth (baal-koth). She meddles with otherworldly powers, which have overtaken her once-noble goal of survival for her people. She believes her cause is righteous, but her methods betray a sinister outcome.
Accent: Vaguely exotic - Eastern, but not Middle-eastern. Her voice is pitched low, ominous, deliberate - slightly sinister and coercive during 'neutral' cues (select, move, move to camp, salute) but terrifying in combat.

We will inflict a heavy toll upon the West…
[sinister] There is nothing to be afraid of...
[In battle] Your thread will be cut short.
Mood: Vâh-rús is an intelligent, experienced man of about 60 years old. He is a capable warrior but an even greater commander, who has fought in many wars, leading legions of thousands of warriors. Ruthlessly effective, he inspires loyalty in his own men and terror in his enemies. Vâh-rús serves the shadowy Onyx Emperor, a puppet of the Dark Lord Sauron. He is unopposed to cruel and harsh strategies, and is known to his enemies as capable of terrifying bloodshed in service of his emperor’s ambitions.

All, even the Great Khâns, must answer to me.
These lands are no longer yours.
[In battle]: Forth, soldiers of Rhûn!
Mood: Belohk is a loud, boastful, boisterous man. He serves as houndmaster in the Easterling army. He is well-liked by his comrades, but prefers the company of his hounds, who he considers family. He is rowdy. A hard fighter. A fierce and likeable ally, a terrifying opponent.
Accent: Vaguely Nordic or Slavic. Belohk is from an area synonymous with Eastern Europe/Western Asia.

Loyalty is given. Trust is earned.
Man or beast, we will track them down.
[In combat]: The thrill of battle!
Mood: The order of the Dragon Knights is ancient. They are elite mercenary warriors that wander the Eastern lands, pledging their service to whichever Khân offers the largest bundle of gold in return. At times they gather together amongst the crumbling ruins of their ancestral halls - a fortress once held by a mighty dragon, who, according to legend, lost it to the Dragon Knights’ first founder during a game of tâk - a board game similar to chess. Part of becoming a Dragon Knight is seeking out a dragon and returning with a piece of its hoard. The Dragon Knights can be cruel and merciless, but are not subservient to an overlord, Sauron or otherwise. They serve themselves first and foremost. They are mighty warriors, but not mindless brutes.

The tongues of Rhûn were said to sound ‘harsh’ to those that did not know them, so his voice should reflect that. Harsh voiceless fricatives, rolling R’s, with little sense of melody.- male adult
You have bought our blades - not our souls.
