(18+ BL VN) The Divine Speaker - Extended Demo Casting
Project Overview
Hi everyone!
The Divine Speaker is an 18+ BL/Yaoi Visual Novel that just got sucessfully funded on Kickstarter! We've already released our demo on itch.io (you can view it here).
The main roles have already been cast, but we're looking to cast 3 additional larger roles and 17 small roles. Nox, Illran and Veras' roles will continue past the extended demo, so more work will be available down the line for these three roles.
Illran, Veras and Nox are 18+ roles (with at least two of them having sex scenes) so please audition only if you're okay with voicing adult scenes. All additional roles are also require you to be over 18, but have no adult scenes. Feel free to audition for as many as you want.
Please read the character guide/voice guide here, and get a feel for the characters before auditioning. You'll find information on the characters, lines and voice types we're looking for here.
Our expectations are:
- Files must be delivered in .WAV format
- A good quality mic, no background noise

Character: Illran
Voice Type: Mid-range, generally cheerful, deeper when angry or seductive
Character: Illran is both charismatic and shrewd. A seasoned traveller that acts friendly enough to make people instantly trust him, for better or for worse. Behind his kind facade is a sharpness that few notice.
Illran is almost too easy to get along with, and you could accidentally tell him anything.
He knows how to flirt to his advantage, and does it a lot. He always knows what he’s doing, and makes sure to be in the right place at the right time. He’s very close with Veras, and would put his life on the line for him. The way he talks to Veras is gentler than with other people.
Flirty: "I can think of a few ways we could use that table. You up for it?"
Serious/normal: "Half of them had their throats torn out, thirty two were left in parts and sixteen of them were missing their heads. I don't know about you, but I've never heard of many wild animals that are into human decapitation."Mischievous, with a laugh: "Honestly, I didn't think you'd fall for it."
Vulnerable: “I just want you to... live your own life. You don't owe it to anyone else."Angry: "Consider yourself dead."
Lusty, breathtaken: “The way your body shakes when I hit that spot... It drives me crazy.”
Character: Veras
Voice Type: Mid-range, kind but firm, wise, serene
Character: A blind man that speaks and acts maturely. Down to earth, kind and generous, he will however look after Illran over others. Will call out bullshit if needed, and is not even slightly shy despite what his appearance may suggest. He’s wise and graceful, and believes in doing the right thing. Sometimes he disapproves of what Illran does. He’s completely devoid of any kind of shame.
Heartbreaking: “All these years, he was trapped in that cold, dark place, crying for help. I couldn't hear him. I should have done something.... I feel powerless.”
Sinister, slowly: “You know nothing.”
Lonely/Sad: “I miss them. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one left, out here”
Gentle: “It’ll be fine. You are stronger than you think.”
Normal/Serious: "Promise me that should anything happen, you will protect them, or at least try to.”
Lusty: "First, you'd pin me to the ground and hold me down by my wrists. You'd mark every inch of my body with your teeth, hard enough that it stings for days after. I'd try to escape, but your strength would overwhelm me, and I'd succumb to the pleasure."
Character: Nox
Voice Type: Mid-to-low range, distant sounding, well-mannered
Character: Nox comes from the town of Oxhabor, where he’s the heir to the influential Murano family. He isn’t shy so to speak, but prefers to keep a certain distance between himself and others. He’ll require two voices, with one slightly deeper.
Normal: "Welcome to the Murano estate. Please make yourself at home, and don't hesitate to ask our servants if you need anything."
Happy/Nostalgic: "They were the happiest days of my life. Almost everyday we'd play outside, and when it rained, we'd carve animal figures instead."
Scared: "Please... I beg you, don't hurt him!"
Angry/Ominous(deeper): "No one will come for you."
Hungry(deeper): "(takes a long sniff) You smell divine. I’ll take my time savoring you."
A young adult mercenary. Any accent is fine.
“Where’s our other guy?”
A young adult mercenary. Any accent is fine.
“I've lost visuals on him. Nothing good ever comes of working with the likes of him, anyway.”
A young adult thug. Any accent is fine.
“We’re lucky today, boss. Ain’t usually no one around here.”
“Whatcha gonna do, pretty boy?”
“...and did you see the size of his coin purse? Hah! As if he’ll be missing it.”
“Yeah, from over there. Something's shufflin’ about.”
A young adult thug. Any accent is fine.
“Well well well, looks like we got another one wantin’ a lighter purse. We’ll be happy to take it off yer hands.”
“I’m so fuckin’ scared, the pansy boy is gonna kill me-”
A resident of the town called Stagwich. Any accent is fine.
“Is that him…?”
“Do you think he’s cursed? Nobody's ever seen anything like it.”
A resident of the town called Stagwich. Any accent is fine.
“The one with the markings?”
“Who knows?”
A nurse/healer in Stagwich. Any accent is fine.
“...You’re lucky that our healers aren’t too busy today. If you wait a moment, I’ll see if one can see you.”
“Is this a friend?”
A healer in Stagwich. Any accent is fine.
“It was Leos, right? My name is Oriana, and I lead the other healers here.”
“So, I heard you had a fall a few days ago. A pain in your ankle, and slight dreariness, which you assume came from hitting your head?”
An old man in Stagwich. Any accent is fine.
“Caspian! It IS you!”
“You’re still the same old guy, after all. You were on your way to Oxhabor, right?”
A worker at an adult shop. Any accent is fine.
“You boys look like you need some new equipment.”
“Yeah. I see that whip you have there, I can tell we’ll have some things you’re interested in.”
A resident of the town of Oxhabor. Any accent is fine.
“Come on you two, stop acting so suspicious.”

“There’s strange things happening here…. Is it safe to be speaking so openly to strangers?!”
