As a professional video editor/producer, I would often record voice-overs for projects as a placeholder until we got the real voiceover audio from a paid actor. My boss at the time very quickly realized that my voice was just as good, if not better, than the actors he usually paid, so he told me I was the new official voiceover artist of the company.
