YOUR TURN TO DIE: Fandub (RECASTING)
Project Overview
Your Turn to Die Fandub is a group of people coming together to create a voiced version of "Kimi Ga Shine" or otherwise known as You Turn to Die. A death game by majority created by Nankidai. This project has been in the works for sometime, and over the years we have lost a many talented VAs and are now in need of new cast members. This is where YOU come in!
YTTD Fandub is now open for auditions! This is no way shape or form official work, all of this is FAN made so please keep that in mind.
This project is NON paying, meaning you will not be paid during this production. Because of this reason, please be sure you are ready to dedicate your time to this project. We also ask that you've played or seen all gameplay of Your Turn to Die, we will be dubbing ALL chapters.
Requirements for this project are the following :
Must have a quality microphone, we will not consider auditions that are ; Muffled, too quiet or recorded with a mobile device, etc. We aren't asking for professional microphones, but something that won't mess with the levels of other members' voices! So please keep that in mind before you audition.
You must be 16+ to audition, and you must have Discord. I will not be able to contact you otherwise, so please be sure to add your age & Discord tag in your audition! I will send you a friend request if you are cast; from there I will send you a link to the Fandub's Discord server.

For this role we are looking for a mid to low pitch.
Although Miley is called "The Laughing Doll", she isn't as friendly as her name seems to hint.
Miley is sadistic; enjoys seeing the participants in the death game suffer, and even goes as far as to torment them by dangling hope before crushing it. She enjoys toying with their despair as the participants start questioning their chances of survival.

For this role, we are looking for a mid to deeper tone. Someone who is not afraid to go all out with emotion.
Reko seems intimidating, assertive, and "rough around the edges," especially in comparison to her milder female companions. However, she's generally friendly and takes on a sisterly role for those younger than her. She seems to act kinder to those who may be seen as "weak."

For this role we are looking for a high to mid tone. As well as someone who can voice Sou who is timid and sort of shy, but is also able to easily shift into someone untrustworthy with a motive.
At first introduction, Shin is generally friendly but a bit standoffish and introduces himself as Sou Hiyori. He's secretive due to being distrustful of the other participants. Despite this, he helps everyone discover secrets about where they're trapped. Shin is canny and intelligent, but due to his suspicious nature, he has a habit of jumping to negative conclusions, especially in regards to Sara. Survival is his main priority, and with knowledge of his survival rates that were provided by the organization, his previous personality snaps and warps to what he believes would better serve his continued existence. This also means lying to achieve whatever ends, and skillfully at that.

For this role we are looking for a soft and higher pitch of voice.
Kanna refers to herself in the third person, indicating a level of childishness, although she makes an effort to correct herself sometimes when she catches herself. She seems timid but is actually not afraid to speak her thoughts, while she was primarily referred to as 'Frightened Girl' in Sara's internal analysis, this does not appear to be normal. Kanna is somewhat dependent upon those determined and relies on them for help, due to insecurity that she is inadequate of helping others and herself. Despite being one of the most vulnerable and unstable of the group, Kanna tries her best to be helpful and demonstrates bravery, the initiative to act, and a willingness for self-sacrifice.

For this role we are looking for a low pitch.
While it is not required, we are also looking for those who can pull off a New Yorker accent. For Q-taro we believe that fits him best!
While he doesn't initially appear to be much more than friendly and easygoing, Q-taro can be selfish and interested in his own survival over most other things in the Death Game. He is often attracted to anything that would secure his life and rarely acts in the interest of others during the Death Game.
Further contrasting his appearance, Q-taro is actually rather intelligent. While probably not academically gifted, Q-taro is good with people and can make them act in ways that benefit him.

Alice has a short fuse and is one of the few participants that has little trust for the rest of the group. Because of his attitude in that no one can be trusted, he tends to go off on his own and often pushes others away when they wish to work or talk with him. He is quite aggressive in the way he speaks, but with enough persuasion and trust he can be kind and helpful. His mother tried to raise him as a girl during his childhood, because of this he slips into a feminine manner of speech when flustered or surprised.

For this role we're looking for mid to low pitch.
Midori is a cruelly mischievous man shrouded in mystery. He seems to have somewhat sadistic tendencies; deriving happiness from teasing and harassing others for his own amusement, even in life and death situations. He enjoys making others uneasy and playing inappropriate jokes on them. He is rather controlling; preferring to cheat or trick in order to stay in the dominant position. His energetic and playful manner of speaking is often completely contrary to the dangerous circumstances of their situation; treating dark topics with little weight; often lightheartedly referencing his own death with no hesitation, and making it into a game. At times he seems to drop the act, mockingly becoming serious to scold participants if they don't follow his orders. However, this only emphasizes just how much he patronizes the others.

We are specifically looking for black actors for this character! We'd like to keep it authentic as possible for we do not feel comfortable having non-black actors playing a black man.
For this role we are looking for a mid to low pitch.
Kurumada is brusque and does not trust people easily. He tends to banter with others and occasionally refer to them dismissively. He is also shown to be laid-back and even a bit of a bully, teasing the others and referring to them with strange nicknames.
After having his torso pierced by Maple, his personality changed quite a bit. While he remained somewhat hot-headed and still prone to anger, however he also became more caring and notably more self-sacrificial.
