Project Overview
Wildwood Down is a video game being developed by Crashable Studios. We are an indie studio made up of 2 brothers.
We have come to Casting Call Club to give you all a chance to be a part of our work. Were hiring for the demo of the game only at this point. If we love your work we will be glad to keep you on board and pay more for the full game voicings.
About the Game:
---In "Wildwood Down," a quirky high school senior with Down syndrome embarks on a darkly humorous point-and-click adventure along the boardwalk of Wildwood, New Jersey. With his sister's life on the line, he must unravel a murder mystery, navigating eccentric characters, unexpected twists, and his own unique perspective to crack the case before time runs out. Can this unlikely hero outsmart the danger lurking beneath the cheerful fa-cade of America's favorite seaside destination?---
The main character Daniel is inspired by and being voice acted by our childhood friend and basically brother Daniel himself. He has down-syndrome and loves videogames. He's a ham when he's the center of attention and loves acting out movies and game scenes. So anyway he's just a super special person to us and deserves a game about him and is thrilled to be doing his own voice acting. We've already recorded his lines for the demo and we are now looking to fill in the rest of the characters for the demo. This will be an incredible project and thanks to anyone and everyone willing to get involved!
Were looking to release the demo, trailers and everything in October to celebrate down-syndrome awareness month and next year when the full game is released we want to give a percentage of the profits to a downs organization.
Our game is a 3d/2d pixel art hybrid and so the voice acting is incredibly important for bringing the characters to life.

Thanks everyone who has tried out for some of these roles. So many of you are incredibly talented! We are blown away by the auditions. It's a good thing but it's tough to choose these roles. :) Were hoping to go over our favorites and lock them in this weekend.

Miggy is a young blonde haired coffee barista who has a summer job at the coffee shop on the boardwalk of wildwood. She's fun loving, spacey, bright eyed and hopped up on to much coffee. She also has a stutter.
This voice acting is for a semi lead role in the video game.

Becca has a younger brother Daniel who has down-syndrome (Dan's the main character and being voice acted by our childhood friend who has down-syndrome) Becca's boyfriend and Dan always but heads.

Basically an A typical bully. Josh is dating Becca and treats her terribly. He's the lead singer of a rock band. He's self absorbed, cocky, and always smug about everything. He picks on Daniel (the main character who has down-syndrome). Becca has to watch over her brother Dan so she had to bring him along on the senior week trip to wildwood and Josh is not happy about it.

Mike Delamorte
Officer Huck comes from a long line of cops and loves his job. He kind of has a mall cop vibe so he's not really a badass or anything but maybe he thinks he is. He's more on the heavy set side and always carries a coffee. He keeps stumbling upon Daniel and his friends as the murders are happening around wildwood. He breaks from his seriousness from time to time into giant laughter (usually at his own jokes) and then closes back up into serious cop mode shortly after. There's a specific short "Mm Hmm" that he says while people are explaining things to him. Almost has a dual personality. Cop mode and friendly jesting mode that he switch's from abruptly. Maybe he could have a southern draw?

Daniel is the main character of the game and he has down-syndrome. Dan is real person and life long friend who inspired the whole game and is doing his own voice acting. This will be a main character voice throughout the game.
This voice will be his thoughts or conscience which speaks to him. A calming authority in Dan's mind that he rarely ever takes heed to. This is a comedy game so this voice can be fun. Not to grim.
