VA's NEEDED (ANIMATORS TOO) FOR CSM MANGA DUB! (With Editing - Call #2)
Project Overview
Hey, there! I am currently casting for characters found in Chainsaw Man for the Gun Devil Arc! My intention with this project is to make a manga dub "episodes" covering the entirety of this arc, with each video being around 15-20+ minutes (sort of like the length of an anime episode). The videos will consist of voice acting along with sound effects and transitions. My end goal is to dub the entirety of the Chainsaw Man manga, and it continues with this arc! Once an edit is completed, it will be posted on my TikTok (DoomSonyVA), so if you'd like, please check out my page(s)! Here are the links to them:

Future Casting Calls will be posted for future arcs as soon as I reach them. Attached to the Casting Call is one of my previous videos I've made of this series so far. Please watch the entire video and if you are interested in auditioning, then follow the directions below:
Please submit files in either mp3 or WAV format (it's preferred but if you must send in other formats, then go ahead)! Also include your discord in submission as well!
Please title your files with YourName_Character'sName
A maximum of 3 takes! I'd prefer 1 or 2, depending on how drastically different your delivery of the lines will be.
This is optional, but I'd prefer it if you did have a proper recording setup, but even a phone under a blanket will do just fine.
Go ahead and audition for as many characters as you want! There is a chance to be cast for multiple characters!
Have fun, and give it your best acting! I could care less whether or not you sound the same as the EN VA's (though that'd be a nice bonus, hehe). I prioritize acting over all else, so please don't hold back.

When it comes to who gets cast, I will be announcing that in my discord server prior to assigning the role here on Casting Call Club! To anyone interested in joining my server, I will be posting a link at the very end of this description.

Need a Future Devil VA for this current Arc.
For direction: Try to sound like the Future Devil's EN VA if you can. Otherwise, no need at all. For example, I voice Denji and I don't sound like his EN VA at all! I prioritize acting over voices so just give it your best acting!

*The Future Devil oversees the aftermath of the "Snowball Fight" and speaks.* "Hee hee hee... Aki Hayakawa... you died in the worst possible way... for the chainsaw boy."
Need a Young Aki VA for this current Arc.

Lastly, I'll just add this in case, but I know this character is technically a boy, but anyone can audition for him. I didn't see the need to point this out, but I figured I would just to make things clear. So long as your acting is great and you match his specs, you're all set.

*Aki, in his mind, is having a tremendous amount of fun having a "snowball fight" with Denji as he expresses himself* "Heh heh! I've never had this much fun before! I've never had this much fun before! Mom 'n' dad are always fussing over Taiyo. They never pay attention to me. Ha ha ha.... But now my life has finally... finally... gotten kinda fun."
*Aki is getting hit by "snowballs" and just as he is about to fight back, he notices that Denji is crying.* "Wah! Waah! *laugh* Great shots! Okay, take this... huh? How come you're crying...? I've never... seen you cry before...."
Need a Taiyo VA for this current Arc.
For direction: Try to sound like Taiyo's EN VA if you can. Otherwise, no need at all. For example,I voice Denji and I don't sound like his EN VA at all! So long as your voice seems to fit him and your acting is solid, I will heavily consider you for the role! I prioritize acting over voices so just give it your best acting!
Honestly, there is only one line for him in this arc, so that'll be the audition line, haha... I'll still provide the chapter that has the panel. (I recommend using the panels as visual aid in acting the scenes out!):

For direction:Honestly, I have no idea on what specific voice I'd like for this character. Fire away. So long as your voice seems to fit him and your acting is solid, I will heavily consider you for the role! I prioritize acting over voices so just give it your best acting!

This character has very little lines, so I purposely left some out, so that way, whoever is cast can still record some lines later on lol.

Need a VA to narrate certain lines in chapter 75/76 of the Chainsaw Man Manga! This is a very minor role.
I don't have a vision for this role. If anything, something similar to Tengen's narration from jjk or HxH's narration would fit pretty good in my opinion. But that doesn't mean I'm not open to other interpretations.
Anyone is free to audition and give it their own spin!

"September 12, 1997, 3:18:21 P.M (Pronounced three eighteen and twenty one seconds). The Gun Devil hits the city of Nikaho in Akita Prefecture, Japan from off the coast for 12 seconds.
3:18:22 (Pronounced three eighteen and twenty two seconds). The Gun Devil advances toward Makima.
3:18:24 (Pronounced three eighteen and twenty four seconds). Gun Devil ability activation: Ability to fire a bullet through the heart of every living thing born in the months of January, february, March, May, June, August, September, November, or December within approximately one kilometer confirmed.
This role is for any characters that I may have forgotten as well as very minor roles that I don't find the need to make separate roles for! For this arc, there are plenty of extras to fill out, so please, don't hesitate to audition.
I already have a "roster" of VA's for extras, but there can always be more!
If you audition for this and get cast, I will reach out to you whenever I need additional voices!

I'm looking for all sorts of voices too, feminine and masculine, androgynous, it doesn't matter!
For the audition lines, you can literally just record any lines you want from CSM. If not, I provided two lines from Denji below for you to try out. Please note, that this isn't an audition for Denji! It's just lines you can act out so I can see your acting.

I LOOK fine, but right now... my heart... feels like it's at the bottom of a toilet clogged with crap. *sigh* All the good feelings, all the bad feelings I had up to now... they were all manufactured by somebody else. I'm dumb as a rock, so I was cool with living as the fool... but the next thing I knew, my ignorance made it all go down the crapper...."
*Denji admitting the truth of what it is that he wants* "The truth is, I... The real truth is... I'm tired... of eatin' stuff like toast with jam for breakfast! What I really want... is to eat steak for breakfast every morning! I know I shouldn't! I know it's terrible! But it's the same when it comes to girls too! Deep down,,, I want five! No, TEN girlfriends! I wanna have tons of sex! That's why... That's why I... I wanna be Chainsaw Man!"
Multiple peopel can be cast for this. Both manga animators and animators can audition for this! The description below will mostly be in regards to animators, but manga animators, the process will be something similar but on a smaller scale. If cast, I will ask ahead of time if you'll be able to animate x manga panel. Once it's time for editing the video, I will use your animation in the videos. Credit will be provided accordingly. To audition, just submit examples of how your manga animations would look.
Now, this is just an airball, but if ANY animators would like to work with me (and possibly my animator brother) on this project, I'd be down for it! Occasionally, I would love if these videos can transition from a manga dub to a full on (fan) animation portion. This segments will typically be pretty short. This goes beyond just this arc of the series! Please note that this will be unpaid just like the rest of this project is, so please, only submit if you want to be a part of this project!
For this "audition" please submit a link of your previous work(s). If cast, then the process goes as follows. I will reach out to you, given that you provided your discord. We will then discuss which scene(s) is/are to be animated way before I even start working on the video, since I understand that animating takes a significantly long time. I will go over how I envision said scene(s) to go, and with that in mind, you can fully go about animating it freely. I won't impede as I do not know much about animation. Feel free to simply do a greyscale animation with minimal color, for example.
Now, since this is my first time casting for such a role, I am unsure how it's going to work, but I may or may not have multiple animators work on one scene together. But the likelihood is that I will have VA's record their lines super ahead of time, send it in to you after we have discussed what I envision for said scene, and then you can go about animating. I apologize for the mess of an explanation, but I am 100% certain that once I get more used to this and we discuss, things will become clearer.
This role aside, if no one auditions for it, then the casting call will still proceed as normal and close once all other roles are cast! I just figured having some fan animations from time to time would be super cool.
