Project Overview

The year is 2081. Fifty years after the Symons Flu decimated the population, Earth sits in ruin. The Pandemic Response Organization and Banshees war over what was once the city of Detroit, Michigan. Henry and his mother, Sierra, live in complete isolation. When an unexpected visitor arrives at their door, Henry must embark across the treacherous graveyard of The Motor City and face the horrors that remain in.....This Desolate Land. 

This Desolate Land is a post-apocalyptic novel available on Amazon that we are currently developing into an audio drama! We need many voice actors, artists, animators, video editors, and audio engineers. Thank you for your interest and we can’t wait to hear your submissions!

  • This Desolate Land Has Been Canceled

    Thank you so much to everyone here on CCC who gave their time, talent and effort. Unfortunately the project has been canceled! We tried to get in contact with as many cast and crew members privately as we could before making this announcement but, here is what posted on our discord server.: Hello *This Desolate Land* Cast Members, @Fans, and @everyone in between. Black Mond Productions has some news about the future of *This Desolate Land*. We haven't kept you all in the loop about the current updates regarding *This Desolate Land*. As stated in previous announcements we have had many challenges to overcome during this transition between projects. Due to burnout, illness, loss of momentum, general production setbacks, and just... **life**, the project has been slowed to a complete stop. At Black Mond Productions we try to give everything our all, so our current start was disconcerting to us. The directors have had many issues to deal with but Black Mond has always mutually agreed to put each other’s well-being first. So as of __Friday February 11th, 2022__ we are canceling production of *This Desolate Land*. We thank you all for your hard work and dedication during this time. We hope you will use this time to enjoy yourselves and we wish all of you the best in your future endeavors. Here is a message from the creator and director @ElliottLamb#5416 : > " Hello to all my amazing cast and crew. Thank you all for your auditions, commitment, and patience. After a few weeks of reflection, our team has decided to make a very difficult decision and unfortunately cancel This Desolate Land.     Hello Everyone! Thank you for all of your submissions! We will be extending the deadlines so we can get more auditions for minor characters. We are accepting auditions for all characters until November 12th, 2021. After November 12th, 2021 we will only accept auditions for minor characters! Henry has grown up in the post apocalypse with only his mother and father. His father

was killed, making Sierra overprotective and distrusting. He is young, caring, but also somewhat

naive of the world outside his home.

  • (Excited, somewhat nervous) My name’s Henry. And this is my mom, Sierra. 

       

  • (Angry, shouting) You can’t be serious! Did you see that gash on her stomach? If she goes out there alone, she’s as good as dead!

       

  •  (Calm, talking someone down) I...I dunno. I guess I just don’t want anyone else to die. If I can help it, I mean. And you’re one of the few people I’ve met that doesn’t wanna kill me at first sight.

the world, especially after the death of her husband. She’s a no nonsense kind of person, but is

also warm and caring to Henry.

Medium Low. Strong yet cautious, alway ready for a fight.

  •  (Arguing with Henry) You think you know what the outside world is like, but you don’t. I’ve seen what desperate people will do to stay alive one more day. And nowadays, if you’re breathing, you’re desperate.

        

  •  (Demeaning Claire) They’re too dangerous to be trusted. You should’ve struck when they were weaker.
