This game takes inspiration from Insurgency: Sandstorm, and K&L2:DD.
The String is a slow paced (mostly) crime-themed shooter that takes place during and after the 2007 recession within a fictionalized version of America where crime skyrocketed as a byproduct of the introduction of an almost undetectable abusive substance, and the efforts of the N.I.A. to turn major parts of the country into a Junta.
Depicts scenarios ranging from gang wars in Baltimore, tortured and experimented-on inmates breaking out of a private correctional facility, all the way to a face off between multiple fifth columns and the national guard.
There are 11 categories of voicelines, each one having low health variants (except for pain, dying or being the last man remaining) that consist of more shouty/exhausted sounding deliveries. Improv is encouraged
