The Paradox
Project Overview
*Completed
Project Type: This is going to be a short audio drama! It will be about 10 to 13 minutes long. There will be some basic sound effects in the background.
Purpose: This is purely for fun. I may post the final project however I don't expect much of an audience since this is mainly for myself.
Paid: Yes! More info in the roles.
Dates: The plan is to close auditions by January 31 and to decide on roles by February. The project as a whole will hopefully be completed by the end of February or early March, however, I'm not sure how long to process will actually take so the dates may change!
Pitch: Fiction/Comedy/Vampire
A newly converted, and very nervous, vampire (Henry) is introduced to the rest of his coven (Sabien, Lester, and Nissa). During this introduction, he's told about their fearsome leader, (Tanith) an ancient vampire who has been feeding on human blood for almost as long as they have been around however, when the legend finally shows her face, she's not what he expected- or what anyone else expected. Over night, their wicked leader had become a devoted Catholic nun.

So much talent!
So much talent...it's everywhere, and it has made this process very, very difficult. I have narrowed down each role to between 2-4 people. I need to ask for some second opinions before officially casting. I plan to cast a person for each role by Wednesday! (Three days from now) Thanks for giving it a go!

Mike Badgley
Sabien is the second in command, right under Tanith (vamp leader). As he's introducing Henry (new vamp) to the rest of the group, he acts as reassuring guide however, it's clear that he's enjoying Henry's nervousness as the older vamps taunt him. He's a self-collective, alpha type and (excuse the informal terminology) daddy type, HOWEVER, when he sees that his ruthless leader is no longer herself, he is appalled. He goes on full panic mode as he searches for answers.

This is not right. We- we need to keep an eye on her. I don't want her out of our sight for a second. Even when she's sleeping. Nissa, you take the first shift, then Lester, then me.

Lester is an eccentric character. Although none of the older vampires are necessarily sane, Lester's madness is the most prevalent. He's a fast speaker, and doesn't hesitate to act on animalistic impulses.
Voice: Eccentric, fast, slightly high pitch.

Nissa is a stereotypical gothic girl. She usually sounds bored/uninterested, however she does have an almost teenage girly side. For those who are similar with the character Envy from Inside Out, I imagine Nissa as a gothic version of Envy.

(Nissa and Lester share snippets of the reputation surrounding their leader. They go back and fourth, building on eachnothers story to scare the new vamp.)

As the newly converted vamp, Henry is a nervous guy that's scared of just about everything in this new life. The older vampires amuse themselves with the gullible teenager by telling them about tales of their leader.

(whisper) I-I don't know if I'm ready for this. (As they enter the cave, is suddenly attacked and yells. A second person fends off the attacker and apologizes) Ah.. (nervous chuckle) thank you.
