Free From the Vines - Dynasty || Fan-made Wings of Fire Animated Series EP. 1
Project Overview
It's been thirty years since the dragons of Pyrrhia and Pantala learned of the other's existence. After the defeat of the HiveWing queen and the return of animus magic, life returned to normal. New generations of students - including dragonets from Pantala - attended Jade Mountain Academy, and they still continue to do so beneath the watchful eyes of it's overseers and headmaster: Clay, Fatespeaker, and Tsunami.
Cherimoya is a flightless dragon, to put it plainly. With bones to brittle to support his weight, he's never left the rainforest and he's never had hope of attending Jade Mountain - until now.
There, he meets Starseeker, an eccentric NightWing and a pair of SkyWing brothers: Firestarter and Merlin. However, nothing good can last forever, and soon he and his new acquaintances find themselves in difficult situations as the fifteen-year-old decision of a queen finally reaps its long-coming reward.

Free From the Vines is the first episode of a Wings of Fire animated series called Dynasty.
The series will premiere on YouTube.
-
Rules and requirements are in the video, however I shall mention them once more down here!
1. You MUST have a decent microphone and little to no background noise! This makes it easier to put the whole thing together!
2. You need to be able to work well in a team! This is a team project, so we need to be able to work as one.
3. MUST be able to meet all deadlines. I understand school is a thing, but you will be given the script a month before lines are due. PLEASE get them done if you're given the part!
4. You need to be at least 13+ years of age (16+ for script-writers and audio editors) to be apart of this project. This is due to some sensitive things that may appear throughout the series.
-
At this point this project if NOT PAID. The series will likely run on YouTube for the duration of a "season" (about 8 - 10 episodes). It may continue after that if it is well-received, as I already have a plot of sorts in mind!

A RainWing-SilkWing hybrid who has always dreamt of attending Jade Mountain, though they remained suppressed due to his disability - his is unable to fly due to having overtly brittle bones in his wings.
A bit of a book-dragon, but lacks much intelligence when it comes to anything related to streetsmarts elsewhere. Rather self-conscious due to his disability, and doesn’t tell other dragons.
About 6-7 years (Dragon) old. Nearly fully-grown. Equivalent to 17-18 years (Human) old.
Cherimoya (nervous): Practically quaking. Are you sure this is a good idea? Perhaps we should go back. I’m sure Cerberus wouldn’t mind carrying me again.
Cherimoya (slowly growing more annoyed and irritated): That’s just it though. Why do they need to take care of me? Why does anyone have to take care of me or make special accommodations? Why do people always have to say sorry and pity me? Why can’t my stupid wings just work properly?
Cherimoya: I can’t fly. That’s, like, a must for even existing outside of the Rainforest, isn’t it? There aren’t going to be any trees for me to swing on out there… and what if something happens?
A somewhat hyperactive NightWing who tries and somewhat succeeds in befriending Cherimoya on his first day at the academy. The first to question why there are no IceWing students in attendance.
Friendly and often goes on rambles. Doesn't have much of a mind-to-mouth filter, and can be somewhat snarky when irritated or annoyed. Cares deeply for friends, and worries more than others believe she should about their safety.
About 7-8 years (Dragon) old. Nearly fully-grown. Equivalent to 18 years (Human) old.
Starseeker: Sorry, I am just a… disaster. My name is Starseeker. I can promise you that I am one hundred-thousand percent NightWing, which other dragons don’t really think is true because, well, I talk a lot and… I’m rambling. Sorry.
Starseeker: So yeah. The winglets attend their classes and a lot of activities together. They’re almost like a second family. I'd be so homesick if I didn't have them. Anyway, how are you supposed to do activities without one?
Starseeker: Hey. Another weird - quick - question: have you seen any IceWing’s… my friend Flake; he hasn’t arrived yet. None of them have, actually. I mean, maybe something held them up? I’m probably just over-thinking, you know?
A SkyWing who was born with firescales, similar to Peril. Extremely close to his brother, Merlin, who also attends the academy.
A bit rude and snappish. Not a huge fan of conversation, and rather standoffish in most interactions. Defensive.
About 7 years (Dragon) old. Fully-grown. Equivalent to 18 years (Human) old.
Firestarter (surprised, then relieved): Careful! ...oh, Merlin, it’s just you.
Firestarter (moderately annoyed): You mean clingy. I’m pretty sure she doesn’t even care about me at this point, she just likes flaunting around the fact that she was born in a blood-red egg.
Firestarter (shocked): I -- how is that not burning?
Merlin is a SkyWing and the (slightly) older brother (by about ten minutes) to Firestarter.
Merlin is extremely close to his brother, though that doesn't stop him from teasing him. Merlin is considerate though, and skilled at reading other dragons.
About 7 years (Dragon) old. Fully-grown. Equivalent to 18~ years (Human) old.
Merlin: Don’t worry, I know how to avoid getting burned. So how are you liking the room? Seems a little… stoney to me.
Merlin (worried): Hey, hey, hey. Woah. Calm down, it's just me. Are you alright?
Merlin (teasing): Now how do you feel, sharing a cave with a firescales and one of the ‘dragonets of destiny’?
A SilkWing. He is Cherimoya's father and in a relationship with Cheri's mother, Abiu.
Papilionidae could almost be considered as frail as the butterfly he is named after. He is willing to stand up for his family, but he is a bit of a coward, and has less of a back-bone than Abiu.
About 19 years (Dragon) old. Fully-grown. Equivalent to 39~ years (Human) old.
Papilionidae: Look, perhaps I could teach? You don’t have much of a crafting class, just a club, and it’s a useful skill. He could share my cave, and I could keep him safe for you. You wouldn’t have to worry about it.
Papilionidae: You don’t need to fly to live, Cheri. Don’t let the fact that you can’t define how you’re going to live the rest of your life. Don’t let it hold you back and keep you chained here. Go out there and do something, just like you always planned to.
Papilionidae: Thank you so much for doing this, Cheri may not look it, but I promise you he is ecstatic and very thankful to you for doing this for him.
A RainWing. She is Cherimoya's mother and in a relationship with Cheri's father, Papilionidae.
Abiu is fierce and protective. She doesn't laze around as much as one would expect of a RainWing (though she does nap), and she's extremely hard-working.
About 17 years (Dragon) old. Fully-grown. Equivalent to 35~ years (Human) old.
Abiu (increasingly angry): You also have an obligation to teach our son. That's what this school was founded for in the first place.
Abiu (calm, motherly): We’ve spoken to the headmaster, everything will be taken care of--you’ll be taken care of.
Abiu (again, motherly. she is not joking): Of course we will. An army of super-powered NightWing’s could stop me from seeing my son.
Petunia is a flamesilk SilkWing. Her parents arrived in Pyrrhia with Papilionidae.
Petunia acts as a kind of friend to Cheri, though the pair aren't very close.
About 6 years (Dragon) old. Almost fully-grown. Equivalent to 16-17~ years (Human) old.
Petunia (slightly confused): Oh, hi Cheri… what are you doing here?
Petunia (jokingly): I’m pretty sure she’s the reason RainWing’s have never really known their dragonets. Too many mothers like that and I’m pretty sure the tribe would’ve gained control of all of Pyrrhia by now.
Cerberus is a NightWing living in the Rain Forest and one of Queen Glory's guards. A family friend of Abiu and Papilionidae.
About 63 years (Dragon) old. Fully-grown. Equivalent to 51~ years (Human) old.
Cerberus (gruff): Hold on and get comfy, kid.
(after Cheri says his wings and legs are asleep)
Cerberus: Well, better wake them up. We’re nearly there.
Cerberus (cont.): Out you get.
Galapagos is a SeaWing healer who took over for Clay as the Academy's healer and healing professor.
About 16 years (Dragon) old. Fully-grown. Equivalent to 25~ years (Human) old.
Galapagos: Settle down, settle down! There will be time to talk after class, but for now we have a lot to do.
Galapagos (a little annoyed): Ah, Starseeker. Do you have something you’d like to share with the rest of the class?
Galapagos (increasingly irritated): Excuse me: Starseeker, Cherimoya. Glad to see you’re making friends, but please save the chatter for after my class. You have plenty of free-time between classes and during lunch - make use of it.
Catfish is an Ice-Wing, Sea-Wing animus hybrid.
Not much can be disclosed on her character at this time.
About 24 years (Dragon) old. Fully-grown. Equivalent to 32~ years (Human) old.
Catfish: (almost trance-like) When the war has lasted twenty years, the dragonets will come -- (recite entire prophecy)
Extras, may be used for other voices as well. Only two will be accepted for now. Being able to do multiple voices is expected.
Voice: Turn your eyes, your wings, your fire, to the land across the sea -- (recite entire prophecy)
Voice: (speak in a different tone than the first line, as though you are a different dragon) *ad-lib a few lines from a conversation*
Clay is a character from the canon series, however thirty years have passed since the original series. Anything that happens throughout the remainder of the new books has no baring on this series.
Clay: (interrupting) What Tsunami is trying to say is; we aren’t trying to be discriminatory, I promise, we have plenty of students from Pantala, but we’re just asking that you understand our situation. We have an obligation here: to make sure that all of our students feel safe and are safe, and well, I don’t know how we are supposed to be sure that he is in case of an emergency.
Clay: (defensive) Peril sleeps in a separate cave. She helps keep the students safe. No dragon is at risk from her.
Clay: (solemn) He’d be proud of what you just did.
Tsunami is a character from the canon series, however thirty years have passed since the original series. Anything that happens throughout the remainder of the new books has no baring on this series.
Tsunami (frustrated, but remaining calm): I’m sorry, but we just don’t have the space to accommodate him, and even if we did: there are safety concerns. This is a mountain --
Tsunami (giving in): ...it’s not your decision Clay, but I do agree… as much as I hate to say it. He can attend, though I’m afraid he won’t be part of a set winglet. He’ll stay with Fatespeaker and work as an assistant in the library.
Tsunami: (angry and snapping) She’d agree with us.
Fatespeaker is a character from the canon series, however thirty years have passed since the original series. Anything that happens throughout the remainder of the new books has no baring on this series.
Fatespeaker (quiet): Well, my cave’s been feeling rather empty since… (clears throat) Besides, I could use an assistant in the library. He could stay in my cave, attend classes, and when he’s not he can help me with sorting scrolls and such.
Fatespeaker (laced with nostalgia, if possible): It’s what Starflight would have done. He would never have let a dragonet be rejected. He’d carve out the caves for new winglets himself…
Fatespeaker: It was no problem, really, I was - am - happy to help.
Glory is a character from the canon series, however thirty years have passed since the original series. Anything that happens throughout the remainder of the new books has no baring on this series.
Queen Glory (assertive): Let’s get going, we have a long flight ahead of us.
Peril is a character from the canon series, however thirty years have passed since the original series. Anything that happens throughout the remainder of the new books has no baring on this series.
Peril (slightly confused): Brother? Are you both firescales? I thought there was only one of you.
Peril: It’s been enchanted by an old friend of mine. At one time, my father enchanted a bracelet for me that, when worn, removed my firescales.
Peril (solemn, dark undertones): Yeah. Wearing something like this… it was a nice gift and a kind gesture, but I learned my lesson after the first time.
Peril (brightening slightly): Whether you choose to wear it or not, it's yours. Consider it a gift; which also means you can’t give it back.
Someone to look over scripts and give their opinion on things. May be allowed to write episodes if so desired later in the season.
Say something you think would fit
I'd like to have music in the series without the risk of copyright. Music would mostly be the title sequence and credits, though there will also be music needed in some scenes.
Say something you think would fit
While I can animate everything myself, as the series is in a PMV style, I would love any sort of help I could get to help episodes get released faster!
