The Hayseed Knight (Chapter 3)
Project Overview
The Hayseed Knight is a free indie visual novel that follows the adventures of Ader, the one eyed deer, while he desperately tries to stay on track to fulfill his dream: becoming a knight. On a meta sense, the player acts as The Narrator, a character hellbent on finding out what truly happened to Ader and his friends, who are little more than legendary characters at this point.
Currently casting secondary characters that appear on Chapter 3, as well as several extra characters that will only have a few lines.
The rate is 2$/line for all characters, for a minimum of 10$ in extra roles.
Once cast, the deadline for the final lines will be the last week of May. Live direction is provided for all roles, so please, take this into account before auditioning!

Zaar had a past at one point, that's for sure. Some say she was a maid that eloped with the heir of the castle where she worked, only to be ditched on the road when he found someone prettier. Others say she was a pirate that seeked to redeem herself investing her fortune in good deeds. There are those who defend that these are not mutually exclusive stories.
The only truth shared among all those who knew her is that she was smart, kind and wise. She devoted her life to rescuing girls off the streets and giving them a place to live and learn a safer trade in The Desert Rose (and somehow managed to run it at a profit in spite of her family's gaudy lifestyle.)
She was the kind of person that doesn't live long in a city like Eyrlum. All that's left of her now are memories.

(Conciliating, trying to reassure her child) You know what, Sep? You ARE my only daughter. So... that technically makes you my favorite daughter, doesn't it?
(Anxiously trying to justify herself) It sounds just like the legends, doesn’t it? They would have found out eventually… I-I had to take her with me!
(Hum softly, happily. Any kind of calm or slow rhythm will do)

Hodjabbammet, descendant of Hodjab the great cartographer, would have been part of the upper crust of gazelle society centuries back. Nary a day goes by when he doesn't think about this, even though he is well aware that all he can aspire to in this day and age as a young Barhan lad is a calm, prosperous life serving as the steward of Askedaz's palace in the capital.
Bammet is a clever man, far too clever for his own good in his opinion, though the general consensus is that he falls rather within the category of "smartass" instead. He has found that advanced sarcasm makes a fine letout for his many and abundant resentments against his social position, the new master he serves, and a certain crazy gazelle who claims to be the "queen" of his kind.
(Note: "My Sun" is an in-story equivalent to "Your Grace", dripping with sarcasm and bitterness every single time)

(sarcastically) My opinion of you remains *unchanged*, Sir.
(serious/smarmy) I'm afraid I cannot let you do that, my Sun. The orders were, paraphrasing, "make sure no one comes in" and I believe it's strongly implied that I should make sure you remain inside your room while I carry out the task.
(confident/dismissive after being called a eunuch)

Uh…? You are welcome to sit down, if that is what you are asking?
(knowing) Ahhh, so this is your first time outside after curfew, no wonder you are so nervous! Worry not! You have come to the right people.
Listen: the key to making it home in one piece is keeping your feet nimble and your fire low. Avoid the moonlight as much as you can, deer see better than us in the dark.
